Autumn in New York

Autumn is at it's peak in NYC. This is truly the most beautiful time of year of in this area of the US. The cool air mixed with the vivid colors of the turning trees, signals a time where life starts to slow down a bit. Just before the wake of Holiday season. Not unlike the calm before a storm quickly approaches the sky. The feeling is more relaxed and rested, which is often reflected in the way we dress. Or at least the way I dress. It is finally cool enough to wear my favorite jeans and softest sweaters. My sleekest boots are also in order, as well as my other essential accessories. I have always strictly followed the rule that accessories make an outfit. You can turn ordinary jeans and a 'T' into a uber chic look quite easily. It is just a matter of wearing the right shoes, belt and handbag. Of course, nice jewelry never hurts either. I don't know why I am rambling like this, but it is my blog. Plus, not to many people actually read what people write anyway. It's the images that speak a thousand words.
So, how does this translate in SL? Well, I got these fabulous new 'Rise Skinny Jeans' from Maylee Oh of The Secret Store . I should have really waited to wear these jeans with a shorter top or bustier, in order to show of the gorgeous high waist and detailing. But, I just could not wait to wear them! I will definitely blog them again, so I can show it off. I paired them with my new favorite 'goto'

Out of Control

I am a bit shaky at the moment. These last few weeks have been BADDDDDD!!! And if that is not enough, I just got some more awful news. I feel sick and what to cry, but I just can't move. And, when I should be convalescing, I am still determined to post pics which should have been blogged yesterday. They were ready yesterday, but I guess life was getting in the way again. So, let me stop my whining and talk about my 'Look'. which is mostly comprised of very recent releases It all started with this amazing hair from Sebastien Aries of [Shag]. This hair is just too incredible words! Sebastien really outdid himself with this style (aka Pussy Galore). Normally, you see me in light browns and dark blonde tones, but this red was just screaming "WEAR ME"! Now, unfortunately, this was a Project Themeory exclusive, but I am sure you can buy the regular colors and packs in the stores. And, if you can't yet, I am almost positive you will be. I mean, it would be shame to limit this hair to just one weekend.
Speaking of weekend deals, we have a brilliant new mesh design from Maylee Oh of 'The Secret Store'. The 'Shortest Blazer', which was a 'Lazy Sunday' exclusive,  is the perfect Spring staple and I am sure there are more to come. After a brief break, Maylee Oh has started creating again. I am hoping to see a beautiful 'Spring Collection' from her, so I will keep my fingers crossed for that!

Yellow Buttercup...

I have been a bit "under-the-weather", so I have been working on this post in bit and pieces over the last day. It should have been posted last night, but I had no energy to finish my last couple of pics or even attempt editing. *Laughs* Anyway, if you read my blog or know me, then you will also know that I have started to fall in love with bright colors. You know, like yellow, orange, etc... I am a native Manhattanite, who loves her black and neutral tones, when it comes to clothes. However, something crazy has been happening to me and I can't get enough of these brilliant shades. Now, this trend has not yet infiltrated my RL, except for bright splashes of colors found on choice accessories. But, I have definitely been living out this obsession in my SL. I have always been a big fan of LoQ Hairs, so when I received these copies I couldn't wait see the amazing hairstyles awaiting me. Thank you Gia!Well the hair was, and still is, gorgeous! Plus, the fact that they were named after various coffee drinks, made it even more delectable! Anyone who knows me, is very aware of my obsession and serious addiction to coffee. So what could be more fabulous than hair inspired by coffee?

Anyway, Gia Pawpad's latests designs have a very retro feel with a glam modern makeover.In the first picture, I am wearing "Cafe Au Lait" in ash. This very yummy sounding and looking hairstyle, has a real 60s flavor to it. The luscious wavy strands and teased top, which is secured with an adorable clip, make this a one irresistible design.

In the second picture, I am wearing "Frappe" in a dark blonde. I am constantly in search of the perfect "updo" and now I think I have finally found it!. The creamy color and and ultra high "bump", is expertly finished off with a very elegant chignon. I just love how Gia's textures are able to have a brilliant shine with out looking greasy. .And I know, you know what I mean. I am not mentioning any names. Gia has a keen eye and knows just what women want and how to design it perfectly.

In the third and last picture, I am sporting "Breve" in jet black. All these names are making my mouth water! "Breve" has a bit of an 80s feel with the side ponytail. However, Gia manages to give this a hip new look with sleek tail and chic sides-wept bangs. I just love how she completes this look with soft and subtle tendrils.

So now I will stop my ramblings. I could literally go on forever about Gia's work, since such unique and fashion forward looks are hard to find. But I will let you go discover them for yourself..... New Finds From "THE DRESSING ROOM"

Yay! New goods from "The Dressing Room"! I always get excited wondering what fabulous pieces the designers will have waiting for us....and at a seriously discounted price to top it off! High quality designers and great prices. What more could a girl ask for?
Well, among many other things, I pick-ed up this amazing skin from Tuli, called "Gina". The creamy skin and pouty lips just elicit pure sexiness. The colors are fairly neutral, so it's the perfect compliment to any summer wardrobe. I also managed to grab the fabulous "ANITA" high-waisted nude skirt from R.icielli. I just love how this skirt hugs my curves and is cinched with a gorgeous black belt. YUMMY! Now, one of my favorite finds was this amazing "Black Chic" hat, which is from glow studio. It's the ideal piece to give one's outfit a bit of sass.

The Blue Room

Can I just tell you how much I love "The Dressing Room"? So when I found out that they were opening a second one, aka "The Dressing Room BLUE", I was overjoyed to say the least. Now I know this all sounds a bit extreme, but anyone can tell you that I have severe sickness when it comes to shopping. I even started blogging to justify this behavior.

The "TDR BLUE" has even more fab designers, who decided to showcase their seriously discounted items specifically for this occasion. What more can a woman ask for?

I think I grabbed one of everything while I was here, but I decided to wear one of my favorite pieces, "Bodysuit de la Ruche", by one of my favorite designers. This gorgeous sea green bodysuit from "Maitreya" is very sexy and ultra glam. I am just amazed at Onyx LeShelle's superb detailing around the bodice and the flirty ruching on the hips. The intricate shading and highlighting gives her textures an extraordinary realism that is very hard to find in SL. I literally did not want to take this off.

I paired the the body suit with "Kookie's", "Icecrem City Wedges". These yummy sky-high wedges can pretty much go with anything in your summer wardrobe. Their opalescent sheen is absolutely beautiful and the shape of the shoe follows the natural curve of your ankle. This way you don't get that "awkward ankle look" that I know has been a problem for so many us.

I could go on for ages about the amazing designs I found in the "BLUE room", but I have to save some room for Kierra, who will be showing off some more finds from here as well.
