The Last Couple of Days Before Arcade Ends....

Sadly, this round of The Arcade is coming to an end. I can't tell you how much I adore all the amazing creations The Arcade designers made for this round. It is practically overwhelming. I guess this is pretty much a 'Look of The Day' type post. It is mix of amazing new releases and some fabulous not-so-new releases. The main inspiration for this post, is this gorgeous 'Formal Blazer' from the uber talented Jin Elfan of Belgravia/Leverocci. It is a fairly recent release and also an updated version of her former 'Sleek Blazer', which is sadly no longer available for sale. As always, Jin's textures are perfectly rendered and portray a huge amount of realism. The 'Formal Blazer' is an inventory MUST have! Speaking of Belgravia MUST haves, I am also wearing Jin's sublime 'Patent 120' pumps, which I have already written about in previous posts. Not only are these shoes beautiful, but they are made to be worn with Siddean Munro's (of Slink) rigged mesh feet in 'medium' height. It goes without saying that these are two more items that your SL wardrobe can NOT be with out!

One of my favorite things about classic blazers, is that they can be worn in so many ways. They can be worn with more classic and formal attire, or you can play them down with jeans and shorts. I obviously chose the latter. I have a tendency to show more formal looks, so I wanted wear something more casual. I decided to pair the blazer with these charming belted denim 'Scallop Shorts' from Toast Bard of (fashionably dead). I had been meaning to blog these amazing shorts for so time now. Toast is another one of SL's texturing geniuses, who makes the most stunningly hip clothes. The shorts were a Collabor88 exclusive a couple of months ago, but I am almost positive they are available her in mainstore by now. Please do yourself a favor and check-out all of her delightful creations.

I needed a top to complete my ensemble. As most of you know, I have a rather large inventory...to say the least! Sooo, I dove in frantically and tried on as many different styles as I could think of. I finally decided I wanted a bustier-like top. I had found this fantastic 'Dash Cropped Chain Bustier' from the talented Dakota Buck of Whippet & Buck. I had no idea I had even had these amazing bustiers in my inventory. Suffice it say, I could not resist putting them! Dakota Buck and Twiggy Whippet are two extremely brilliant creators and have played a huge part in SL fashion. I had not heard much news from them, as far as new releases go. So, I had to check to see if they were still selling their content. I am almost positive they are and sincerely hope they release some new items too!

It is time again for another round of the 'Whore Couture Fair'. For this month, Shyla Diggs of -Belleza-, created a lovely and exclusive edition of 'Mya' for this event. She is available in all skin tones and just so pretty to look at. Please make sure you grab a demo!

I also chose to wear this alluring hair style from Tabata Jewell of Vanity Hair, called 'Vendetta'. I simply adore the coy and sexy side-part that partially covers one eye. It added just the right amount of innocent sensuality to my look.

Oh! I almost forgot the namesake of my whole post! Adorkable Peapod of Adorkable Poses, made these beautiful and clever poses for The Arcade. They are are called 'Gacha Blooms' and feature one of my all time favorite flowers as a prop - lavenders. There are ton of different poses that you can win, so make sure you get over to The Arcade to try your luck!

FAIL!

Grrrr...  I was not going to do this post for the end of the July cycle of Collabor88 , because I had found out that it was over earlier than I had planned. Actually, I had wanted to do this post on a couple days ago, but it took me until late last night to finish, because I am having serious issues with SL. I don't know if it is SL, my connection or possibly something wrong with my new gaming laptop. This is basically what has been going on:

- I constantly crash (people of my friends list must love this)
- Mesh takes for ever to rez (if it does rez)
- I almost always have to clear my cache before I log or I will not be able to log in.
- I crash when I teleport anywhere. I have to log in directly to each SIM I want to access
- My notecards are not saving and uploading.  So, unless I double check it, I run the risk of sending out a blank one.
- I am usually a ball of mist until most of my inventory loads. Plus, my inventory takes forever to start loading. It stays at approximately 800 items for what seems like an eternity. The fact that I have an insanely large inventory does not help matters either

I hate to complain on my blog, but this has been making it almost impossible to get anything done! Let alone take pics and post them. I am soooo FRUSTRATED! I am submitting a ticket to LL, but since I use a TPV (Firestorm), I don't think they will help me.
Now that I went off on tangent, I forgot what I was originally going to say. Oh yes, I decided to post creations from the July cycle of Collabor88, even though I had found out the doors had closed by the time I posted my pics on Flickr. But, I had spent two days on these pics, so I am going to post. These images should look like I spent two days on them, but they do not. They are awful due to all the trouble. I know a lot of these items are event exclusives, but most can be found in the designer's mainstore soon. You just may not be able to get them in colors that were made specifically for July's 'BLEACHED' theme or the great price.
Even though the July cycle is closed, the August cycle is opening tomorrow, which is the 8th. And, in case you did know, it is also Collabor88's one year anniversary! I can't believe it has already been year that I have been blogging this fabulous event! I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing team of incredible content creators and talented bloggers. I often wonder if they made a mistake, when I was asked to blog for this event. LOL! I just wanted to give a special thanks to Drinkinstein Sorbet and her awesome team - Jezibell Thorne, Sophia Harlow and octagons Yazimoto (forgive me, if I missed anyone). Thank you for making such a wonderful event possible and may there be many more years of beautiful and innovative creations!

It is mid- Summer and there are so many events going on right now in SL. It is almost impossible to keep track of all of them. The Latest from "LoQ Hairs"

Gia Pawpad just recently released three gorgeous new styles that are a must for every girl's inventory. Like all of her other previous releases, Gia's latest designs share the same sleek and polished feel. Even her loosely tied chignons maintain a sense of polished elegance. So, where to start? I love them all equally! I guess I will begin with 'Baileys'. 'Baileys' has a perfectly tied side-chignon that looks as if it were created effortlessly. The bun is complimented by long layered bangs, which sway to the side quite beautifully....

Next we have 'Grappa Pieva', which I absolutely adore. I love the punky wide-set "faux-hawk" on top of "corn-rowed" crown. To soften the look, there are loosely placed tendrils, which make this style irresistible
...

Last, but certainly not least, we have 'Tequila'. I love how Gia names her hair after great drinks. 'Tequila' has a more tightly fastened side-chignon with softly falling wisps of hair. This is definitely one look that will go with anything in your wardrobe.....
