May Madness

I can't believe it is the middle of May already! It is getting warm in NY, so I have been busy wardrobe shopping in RL too. My look for this post may seem a bit too warm for this time of year, but I could not resist pairing this fabulous mesh 'Shirt with Sweater' from Marry Lemur (of Overhigh) with these gorgeous mesh 'My First Jeans' from Morphine Janick (of [monso]). If I could translate my favorite pair of 'skinny jeans' into SL, they would be these. They come in bunch of lovely tones and are FaMESHed exclusive. The 'Shirt with Sweater' is too cute for words and although it is not an event exclusive (like most of the items in this post), it is a new release. It comes in a bunch of yummy colors as well.

 There are so many great shoe releases this month, so I had a seriously hard time deciding what shoes to wear with this outfit. I chose Harry Hyx's (of ISON) super chic 'billie patent heels'. I adore the sleek and strappy goodness of these beautiful mesh heels. As always, Harry renders his shoes to perfection. These heels are a Collabor88 exclusive, so you definitely want to run over and grab a pair in each color!

Tricky Boucher (of -Belleza-) just released a special edition of my beloved 'Ava' skin for the 'The 100 Block' event! She comes in a soft summery make-up and is available in all skin tones. I definitely suggest grabbing a demo and checking out this virtual 'Block Party'. Also be sure to run over to-Belleza- and buy their new 'avatar enhancement' appliers for your Slink hands and feet. If you are like me and hate matching skin tones, these are an inventory staple! Oh! Don't forget to look for the necklace and bracelet I am wearing from MiWardrobe, called 'Crosses in my soul'. It will be at 'The 100 Block'  event as well!

One of new favorite hair styles right now, is the one I am wearing in this post. It is from Bubbles Clawtooth (of Clawtooth) and called, 'Lips Like Sugar'. It is also a May Collabor88 exclusive. So please try on some demos!

I know this post is getting long now and I should have broke it up into two posts! But, I guess it is too late. LOL. Kaz Nayer of PILOT, created this awesome 'Garden Shed' for May's Collabor88. I love all the amazing little details, like the rain barrel and hose. It is just what I needed to complete my SL home for this Summer. 

I added some cute decorative details from Winter Thorn of {what next}, which are all fairly new releases. Like this brilliant 'Boardwalk Bicycle Rezzer'. The rezzer comes with different LI options to fit your land's needs. It also comes with a rezzed male and female bicycle prop. The male bicycle is shown in this post. I absolutely can't get enough of Winter's items. She not only makes great homes and decor, but great 'movable props' (ie, bikes, kites, balloons, etc...). Her uber adorable 'Cornwall Daisies Planters' and 'Finsbury High Stool'. are shown in these pics too. Do yourself a favor and TP over to {what next} and check out her amazing creations.

I was not sure what to put inside this shed, so it may not make not sense. However, I have been dying to blog these items from Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea. It is called the 'Hutton Set'. It is made up of beer bottle lanterns, recycled tables and keg stools. I think this is one of the most ingenious sets I have seen to date. The stools come in a ton of colors and patterns. Choose your favorite country or shade! The table and lanterns come in different wood tones. It is Men's Dept exclusive, so make sure you hurry-up and get it!

Looking Cute in 'Kyoot'

Saeya Nyanda is quickly becoming one of my most favored designers in SL. Her eye for detail is impeccable and her knowledge of what compliments a woman shape is on point. I just love how she knows exactly the right amount wrinkles to add and to what area. This may seem like an odd thing to like, but its really an art that many designers are still trying to obtain. These aforementioned skills mixed in with Saeya's adept shading and highlights, make for one gorgeous collection of clothes. Plus, the price the quality fo her clothes is unbelievably reasonable. I was sincerely flattered when Alan Edison, the designer behind Ty Zvezda sent me some review copies. As a long time fan of Alan's designs, it was a real treat to work with his gorgeous pieces. Alan has and intuitive feel for the female form and his body conscious designs are proof of this. In the first picture, I am wearing the 'Ella' gown. This is one luxurious piece that gives my figure an amazing silhouette.The silky texture and simple lines make this one elegant number. I just adore how Alan carefully adds the perfect amount of highlights and shadow, in order to show of the folds and creases on the dress. This is definitely one of my favorite gowns!
In the second picture, I am donning the 'katfkan'. This gorgeous piece comes in rich colors and 3 different wear options. This is another aspect that I love about Alan's clothes. Once again, the texture has a silk-like feel and flows with each subtle movement. The perfect piece to add to any outfit.
In the third picture, Alan has me in his 'Oklak' vest. This has a more bohemian and folksy look to it, which I am really into at the moment. Once again, this come sin 3 different sizes, so you can find the perfect fit and/ or look. I also paired this look with Alan's 'shuffle flats' and 'bunty heels'. These shoes are simple, but made extremely well. Pus, they go with just about any casual look.
In the fourth picture, I am sporting the first skirt I have ever bought at Ty Zvezda. I love the high waisted tulip shape and super soft iridescent texture. One again, Alan uses his incredible eye for detail  to carefully adorn  this skirt with hand drawn buttons and 3 different trim options.. This skirt is a MUST for any woman's wardrobe. This 'high waisted mini' can be worn casual or dressy, like so many of Alan's designs.
I the fifth picture, I am wearing Alan's fabulous 'mini beach wrap'. This uber cute pareo also comes in two different wear option.This is the quintessential bikini cover-up As you can see in the middle of this picture, I am went in a slightly different direction. I am wearing this amazing 'Sloo' top. I just can't get enough of this cute button down blouse which is cinched by a wide belt. Simply scrumptious.
In the fifth and last picture, I had to show a close up the handbags! I am in LOVE with Alan's bags. There is the 'Ugery' bag that is constructed with soft leather an beautiful jewel tones. Then we have 'Fofo' bag, which is made up of a thicker leather and wrapped in a uber cute bow. The silver linked straps are the finishing touch on this already amazing accessory. If you are a hang-bag whore  like me, these are the ultimate pieces for any womans handbag inventory. So yummy!

**TKO** is still a fairly new name for me, but from the bits I have seen in past few weeks, I have really taken a liking to their clothes. Kirsty Oherlihy, the fabulous designer behind **TKO** was generous enough to drop me of a few review copies of her latest releases. Thank you, Kirsty! Let me just say, I was definitely pleased with what I saw and wore. Kirsty's designs are super cute and really sexy. This mix may sound like a contradiction, but Kirsty knows how to pull it off. One example of this would be the 'retro tubes', which come adorned with cartoon characters from my youth, like the "Care Bears" and "Power Puff Girls". You have got to love that!
Then Kirsty takes things up a notch with her uber hawt 'Roxy Dress'. The simple lines and wild zebra print, make this an excellent choice for night out on the town. I also must mention that Kirsty's skirt prims are superb. I did not have to do any editing at all, which is definitely rare for me.
In the third picture, I am sporting Kirsty's 'Mandy' top. I really adore this piece. I love the gorgeous floral print and carefully hand drawl wrinkles and gathers in the fabric. Added touches like this, give Kirsty's designs that extra element of realism that I am always seeking.
In the forth picture, I am wearing the 'Becca' top. This is top is a bit more daring and I like it! It shows just the right amount skin with out being too flashy. It fits my body perfectly and shows off my curves in the just the right way. Kirsty definitely knows what works on the female form.
In the last picture, I am donning the 'Kelly Waistcoast' and 'Nia' jeans. These are two of my favorite pieces. I love the adeptly placed seams on the jeans and vest. The artfully sculpted flared cuffs blend perfectly with the rest of the pant. There are no awkward "connections". The jeans have a slightly relaxed fit, but are cut low enough to add a bit spice to this already amazing design. The vest is expertly rendered and, once again, shows off my curves to a "T". "Wow" is the first word that comes to my mind when I think of AlaFolie. pixivor Allen's designs are simply divine. Her use of texture and prims are on a whole other level. I am truly amazed and almost speechless. It's very rare to find me without anything to say but, "wow". In the top picture, Kierra is takes me back to the "roaring 20's", while wearing pixivor's "Etamine" dress. I am wearing the "Ebane" dress, but I wouldn't say this is exactly reminiscent of the 20s. *LOL* However, both dresses have brilliantly hand drawn ruching around the bustline and an "a-line" shape. I am in awe with pixivor's expert prim work! The tassels on Kierra's dress move and sway so naturally. My dress has gorgeous ultra thin 'tulle-like" layer over a more sumptuous and silky fabric.These two dresses can make anyone woman feel like a princess.

In the second picture, Kierra is sporting the "Floralie" dress and I am wearing the "Rosa" dress. These super smart numbers have delicate straps, a heart-shaped neckline and are draped in their own rich floral pattern. Kierra's dress is a silky texture trimmed with gorgeous antique lace. Her outfit even comes with shoes to match! Who doesn't love that? My dress is more of a satin with a nice black trim. pixivor's hand drawn pleats and shadow detail are flawless. Once again, pixivor impresses me with her lovely sculpted skirts. I also must mention that these dresses fit me to a "T"! Not one edit needed! Usually, the prims are very fussy on this type of dress, but pixivor managed to find a way around this problem. She never ceases to impress me.

In the third and last picture, Kierra is wearing the "Carmen Baby" gown and I am donning the "Laura" gown. You have got to love the tantalizing red and lush textures that make up Kierra's beautiful dress. pixivor really went all out when she created the "Laura" dress. OMG! The vibrant floral pallet and delicate bustline are simply stunning. The intricate detailing on the empire waist is to die for and the adeptly sculpted prim skirt is ethereal. "Laura" also comes with the headband, earrings, necklace, bracelet and shoes! pixivor did everything for me! Styling like this is perfect for people like me, who have way too huge wardrobes, but can never find the right accessories to wear. *LOL* pixivor made things simple and easy, by creating it all for me in one gorgeous package.

Rediscovering rbcg! Re-Opening in July 22nd, 2010!

Today. Friday July 23, 2010, rbcg will be re-opening it's doors! Kyrsten Jigsaw has been working hard setting everything up, so she can bring us her very unique and awesome creations....some old and some very new! I love Kyrsten's originality and sense of humor that she brings to light in so many of her pieces.You can find "kitschy" accessories like clown glasses and various "noms-noms"s all the way to amazing creations like her "If You're A Bird" dress. Krysten also has a large selection of items for the home as well.

In the first picture, I wearing Kysten's "If You're A Bird" dress in brown. The dress is simple, yet has an incredible hand drawn texture. She carefully adorns the dress with feathers, making this one delicate and interesting number. I kept thinking of the movie "The Birds" when I was looking at this dress (I have no idea why), so I grabbed Kysten's "Birdie" props that attach to you hand and ear. The bird the attaches to your ear flies around. The pictures I took, of course, look nothing like the movie "The Birds" ,or even remotely close to it, but I had a lot of fun playing with birds! *LOL* I also paired the dress with the rbcg "bohindian" bag. I have a big time bag fetish, so I couldn't resist this perfectly sculpted piece. Krysten had a lot of cute bags and totes in the store, so it was really hard to choose.

The "bohindian" bag was part of the "the indian collection", which comes complete with decor that includes a "tee pee", "makeshift fire" and "makeshift kayak". It also comes with the "indiankini" and "chief head-dress", which I am wearing, and ultra-cute accessories like the "dream catcher". So, I couldn't help but  go all out and show you some of the set-up and also this really cool bikini, whose fabric is comprised of Kysten's signature hand drawn textures. I think I had a little too much fun playing with my "have tee-pee will travel", but Kysten's pieces have that effect on you. They can't help but make you smile and sometimes bring out at bit of your inner dork. So, what are waiting you for? rbcg is re-opening today!
