The Sea Hole is Closing It's Doors For Good Tomorrow

I was very sad to hear that the extremely talented and innovative Drinkinstein Sorbet will be closing the doors to her seriously awesome store, The Sea Hole.
Here is a word from Drink herself:

As of Monday, May 13th , 2013 I have officially decided to retire from doing business in Second Life.
As many others before me, this course was chosen as a means to spend more time on Real Life adventures.

Its Been my pleasure to have had the privilege of knowing so many brilliantly talented friends and business associates throughout the last five years as the creator of The Sea Hole, and Collabor88. The colorful and boundless world of SL has forever changed my perspective on artistry, and imagination. The people Ive been so lucky to have known and befriended will always be remembered with fondness and warmth.
The Customers who have supported me and my various projects with their patronage and kindness will never ever be rivaled even on the best days in RL.

I owe So many thanks to everyone who has made being the Sea-Holiest-rock'n-rolly-est shop in the grid possible. Thank you for a great 5 years, Thank you for all of the happiness you've freely given, Thank you for the opportunities you've shared, Thank you for believing in me!

When I think of original creators, Drink is one of the first designers who come to mind. I have always been in awe of her ingenious hand drawn textures and stunning designs. She is also the brain child behind the super successful event, Collabor88. Thankfully, she has an amazing staff that will keep this event going strong. Drink and her fabulous designs will me missed tremendously. So, please make sure you run down to The Sea Hole and grab all your favorite creations before the doors close on May 31st. The March cycle of Collabor88 is officially open! When I think of the theme and color palate of this round, it reminds me of Spring gardens and tea parties! It is full of lovely pastels, floral and other romantic themes. One of my favorite creations from this cycle, which is also a rose inspired all mesh collection, is from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. I am not just saying this because I work for her. LOL! Gyo truly captured the essence and mood of this cycle with her 'Isabella' collection. 'Isabella' is made-up of stunning headpieces  beautiful necklaces, delicate earrings and rings. There is also a very special dress, which is a collaboration between LaGyo and GizzA! It is all absolutely gorgeous! Plus, for this post, I got together with the extremely talented Loulou Teichmann  She created this amazing set that we are all posing on and in front of. The Glamorous Life

The -Glam Affair- Team (aida Ewing, M4ri1yn Magic and Amberly Boccaccio) never seems to stop producing amazing creations. Not only do they create some of the best skins on the grid, but they also have been releasing stunning accessories, clothes and mesh make-ups. For the current cycle of Collabor88, aida Ewing created an beautiful edition of her 'Renee' skin, called 'Trending'. I love the subtle tones and luminous complexion. I also hope aida releases a whole line of this skin as well. M4ri1yn Magic designed a simple, yet very sexy mesh dress, called 'Livia'. I love the high collar that cuts diagonally across the torso, leaving the dress backless with just enough skin to leave some to the imagination. Amberly Boccaccio has been creating so many lovely mesh accessories lately. Her stunning headpieces are prime example of such work. For Collabor88, she constructed the delicate 'Hanami Headpiece'. I just adore the the delicate mesh cherry blossoms that fall across my head. Tricky Boucher of -Belleza- , has released yet another gorgeous skin! She is called, "AVA". I have always adored all of his skins, but AVA has to be Tricky's best creation yet! You can tell by the distinct detailing on her lips, eyes and body definition, that his technique has really evolved. Not that his skills needed improving (not in the least), but a true artist always seeks ways to transform and reinvent oneself.
AVA comes in 16 stunning make-ups and 6 skin tones. Three Years Down!

I would like to wish everyone a VERY happy and healthy New Year! Not only is it a new year, but I am now officially three years old in SL years. Yes, it was rez day. I really never thought I would still be here, especially blogging. When I started this blog, it was purely a justification for my new found SL shopping addiction. It is bad enough I shop too much in RL, but SL just made it that much worse! LOL! Basically, I thought I would posts a few looks every now and then for my own personal 'Look Book', but never in my wildest dreams did I think anything would come it! If I seriously thought anyone would actually read or look at my blog, I would have given it a different name. To be honest, I still do not know if anything has come of it or if anyone really reads it. LOL! Well, that is not entirely true. I have met so many amazing people via my career as an SL blogger. I would have never met my closest SL friends, if it were not for this blog. Anyway, I am not sure where I am going with all of this, but I just want to thank all of my closest friends (you know who you are) for putting up with me for all this time. New Belgravia and Levoracci Releases!

Yay! Jin Elfan, who is the very talented creator behind both Leverocci and Belgravia, has just released another AMAZING collection! She is definitely the queen of mesh. Her all original and high fashion mesh creations make her one of the best designers on grid. So, enough butt kissing.... LOL! Actually, I truly am in awe of all her creations and always look forward to every release. This collection is full of mix and match separates, which include sexy pencil skirts, short belted jackets and cozy turtleneck sweaters. For this post, I chose to wear her new 'Alice Jacket', which has a very sexy neckline and is belted around the waist. It also comes with a texture-change HUD, so you can change the metals and the color of the sleeves, belt and cuffs. I paired this jacket with her fabulous new 'Seceratry Skirt'. It is the perfect pencil skirt and a definite wardrobe staple. Jin also released these beautiful 'Flat Iron' heels and 'Messenger Bag'. I am in LOVE! With all the Holiday craziness in RL and SL, I think I am developing a case of seasonal dementia. So, I am really at a lost for words. All I can say is that I am in LOVE with Sissy Pessoa's (of Baiastice) recent creations for this winter season. Sissy is a guest designer at FaMESHed this month. And, OMG, she created the most amazing mesh 'Emma Jacket' for this event. This stunning jacket comes with two wear options. There is a jacket and bustier top combo or you can choose to just wear the jacket alone. It comes in a ton of gorgeous rich winter colors too. And, if the jacket is not enough, Sissy also created these amazing short leather mesh gloves. I am HUGE fan of sleek leather gloves, so I was really excited about this release.
 Kavar Cleanslate (of ::Exile::) just released three gorgeous new hair styles. What is really great about these new releases, is the fact that they come with the cutest hats. For this post, I chose to wear 'A Winter's Tale', which comes with cozy knit winter hat. A definite WIN!

Early Morning

One of my new favorite events has to be FAIR. They have such a lovely collection of designers, who create event exclusives that reflect a certain time of day. Their creations are also set at a fair price, which is both fair for the customer and the designer. One of the most gorgeous creations at FAIR, is a delicate mesh silk slip created by Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice. The slip is called 'Aida' and it comes in ton of yummy colors.
I also have been meaning to post a recently released skin from Carina Larsen of Amacci. This skin is called Nuiko and it is really made for an avatar who has more Asian features. But it looked great on my avatar as well. The skin tone is so lovely. But, then again, all the Amacci Skins have amazing skin tones! Carina always makes such beautiful skins, so I really suggest you check-out her different skins and try on some demos. Here are your LMs:

Feeling 'Unhinged'

I am always amazed at how strong this small virtual community, called 'Second Life', can be. I am sure you have heard by now that one of talented residents, Eku Zhong, has been battling multiple illnesses and is desperately in need of a surgery that could help her tremendously. Unfortunately, with the economy being the way it is, she needs some help. This is where all her amazing friends, designers and SL residents come in to play. 75 percent of all the gacha sales at this event will go to Eku's 'Bone Fund'. One million lindens has already been raised! So, I encourage you go check-out the 'Eku Unhinged SL' event and play tons of gachas, listen to live music and help raise more cash! Leather and Lace

I just found some info the hard way. Do NOT install 'Skydrive', if you plan on taking pictures in SL or want to crash every 5 minutes. LOL! I had installed 'Skydrive' late Thursday night. I probably was not thinking too clearly from all the Thanksgiving food and wine. I did have this gut feeling that it could interfere with my viewer, but it started-up ok. So, I did not pay any attention to it. After a terrible couple of days dealing with my inventory not loading at all and crashing all the time, I finally was ready to take a picture. It crashed before I could hit the save button. I was really tired, so I went bed and figured it was just another crash. The next day, I struggled all day to rez my avatar. Once again, I got everything in order and was ready to snap away. But I  couldn't. No matter what setting or viewer I used, I crashed as soon as tried to press save. I started to freak, thinking something was majorly wrong with my computer. I decided to check the JIRA's to see if maybe there were some kindof bug or issue with SL over the Holiday weekend. And, sure enough, it said that 'Skydrive' would cause this type of behavior from a viewer. So, I quickly un-installed it and prayed that this was the problem. It was!  Whew! If my pictures suck, it is because I rushed to take them.

Under The Tuscan Sun

My mind is a bit blank at the moment. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that tomorrow is a Holiday here and it is going to be nuts! With that in mind, let me keep this post short. I am wearing the uber fabulous new 'Suede VCoat', which was created by the seriously talented Jin Elfan of Belgravia (Leverocci). This coat is pure love! The fur trim and sleek suede mesh textures are so divine and perfectly rendered. A definite MUST for your wardrobe! I paired the jacket with these gorgeous new mesh 'Tilda Suede Leggings' from MichaMi. Milla Michinaga has been on roll lately! She has been making the most beautiful mesh creations, which I still have yet to show you. So, please stay tuned for that. DjAngel Fallen of Miss C, has been creating new hair again! Friends with Benefits!

Ok, it is not what you think. While a 'friend with benefits' can serve a vital purpose at times in RL, it can be many different things in SL. For the sake of this post, a male avi was needed. This is a time when a good female friend with a very hot MALT ('male alt'... for those of you who do not know) comes in handy. My amazing friend, blogger and SL social chatterbox, Kaelyn Alecto, is equipped with a very exquisite MALT! To be honest, she needed me for a post, so I made the best of her temporary handsome physique and posted too. LOL.
We both decided to take advantage of some of the best SL Autumn collections. She (as a he... I'll call him 'Kevin') wore the new casual and sexy 'Fall Outfit (men)' from GizzA and I wore this stunning CINEMA exclusive from Baiastice. For all of you men out there in need of fabulous clothes, Giz Seorn of GizzA  makes some of the best menswear on the grid. Not to mention her female creations are absolutely stunning too! I felt that Kae's (Ahem...I mean 'Kevin's') laid-back leather jacket and relaxed trousers went perfectly with my classic tweed 'Edy Jacket' from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice. Crazy About 'Katya'

After Lara Hurley released 'Odette', I honestly did know how she could top that. However, being the skin rendering genius that she is, Lara managed to out do herself with her latest release, called 'Katya'. This was supposed to be posted over a week ago, but as most of you know by now, I have been quite ill and was even hospitalized. So, I really hope you all forgive me for my tardiness.
Lara mixed perfectly defined eyes, which were shaded in lovely metallic and smokey shadows, with perfectly pouty glossy lips. To die for! The face is sweet and fresh. The body, as usual, is done with expert precision, rendering the perfect amount of muscle tone with soft definition. What I love most about this collection are all the options! She gives us 10 eye shadow layers, 9 lips gloss layers and a cleavage layer. She also gives us hairbase option too. Unfortunately, Kirsten'sViewer doesn't allow multiple tattoo layers, so I couldn't mix up several tatt layers at once to show you. But, at least I can wear that extra glossy layer for the lips, which I am in LOVE with! Lara created these pouty  layers with just the right amount of color and shine. I have not been able to take 'Katya' off yet! I am definitely in LOVE. So, maybe you should see for this for yourself. Lara gives you so many extra tatt layers and the color combinations are literally endless!
