The Home Show Featuring Pixel Mode

Tya Fallingbridge is so talented! From shoes to home decor, she creates it all! She also makes such items, which are perfect mesh renderings, with an extraordinary eye for detail and texture. One such creation, is her Home Show exclusive, 'The Lake House'.

 This cozy little home is simple yet luxurious. The house is semi-furnished too! It comes with a yummy over-sized white linen bed, which has tons of amazing animations (you can choose from Adult or PG versions of the house) as well as props.

It also has large walk-in shower with a stone floor and more animations (single and couple). Oh! And there is also a stunning ceiling fan over the bed.

Now, if you like lots of light, this is definitely the perfect home for you, since it is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and sky lights.

Not to mention, there is huge deck to lounge around on too.

1. This years theme is “Movies Inspire Me” be as creative as you like, feel free to include other people in your shots.
However, as in previous years, ONLY THE PERSON ENTERING THE PHOTOGRAPH IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN. This years contest will run from the 7th June – 28th June 2013

Examples : Sci-fi, Black & White, Romantic Comedy, Anime, Horror, Country & Western, Thriller, Action, Drama

*No Nudity or sexualy suggestive images, this is a charity event to raise money for Children, naked/revealing pictures and pictures that the committee deem inappropriate will not be accepted, the committee’s say on this is final.

Be creative, but remember we are looking for pictures that focus on the hair and you. PHOTOS SUBMITTED TO THIS POOL MUST HAVE BEEN UPLOADED SINCE THE START OF THE CONTEST, PHOTOS OLDER THAN THE START WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, we want fresh focus and definite passion for this event, and this event only.

2. Feel free to enhance your shot in the photo editing program of choice. We don’t want to see vendor images here or store logos in the background for example. Just remember this isn't an advertisement but a tribute to hair that you love.Also be aware that we wont be judging your photos on how little or much you know of PS or GIMP, rather the feel of the picture and the capture itself.That being said, please do not “over process”, we want to be able see the hair! – if you must put your name on your images please be sure to make it small and discreet in the bottom left or right of the photo…anything business focused will not be accepted, names of avatar only.

3. Keep your photos in Second Life size format. Second Life will distort your images when uploaded into SL, and we do not want to have your images look all out of focus in the winners circle if picked.

4. Photos may only be entered once, and only the person entering the photo is eligible to win. The same photo may not be entered by more than one person. You must have full ownership rights to the photo you are entering. If it was taken by someone else, then you must be allowed to use it in this manner. Check with the photographer before entering because any disputes of ownership of a photo will result in disqualification.

5. Entrants are limited to a total of 8 entries. Enter only your very best photos, as swapping out will not be allowed. We will be keeping track of who enters what, and swapping out your photos after submission will result in your disqualification. We want to make it fair to everyone.

6. In the description of each photo you enter, please include:
* Your Second Life avatar name ( no display names, if your last name is Resident please include that )
* Model/s
* Photographer
* Hair Style Name and Store ( the store does not have to be in Hair Fair 2013 )
* Inspiration Movie ?

7. All photos must be entered by Midnight SLT on 28th June, at that time uploads will be disabled.

8. Winners will be announced just prior to the start of Hair Fair with all winners receiving a special VIP invitation to Hair Fair before it opens its doors to the public.
Winning photos will also be featured at Hair Fair.
First, Second and Third Prize winners will receive prizes from all stores listed, this is a HUGE prize pool.
Seven runners up will also be given early access to Hair Fair 2013, as well as having their photos on display at the event.

You may also showcase past designers who have left Second Life, designers just starting out, or even hair you or a friend made.

All photos will be moderated before being approved into the group pool, please be patient as we are all on different timezones, but the pool will be checked daily. If your photo does not appear after 24 hours, please check that all the rules have been followed..thank you

The judges decisions are final

Prizes cannot be exchanged, negotiated or sent to avatars other than the winners.

The Sea Hole is Closing It's Doors For Good Tomorrow

I was very sad to hear that the extremely talented and innovative Drinkinstein Sorbet will be closing the doors to her seriously awesome store, The Sea Hole.
Here is a word from Drink herself:

As of Monday, May 13th , 2013 I have officially decided to retire from doing business in Second Life.
As many others before me, this course was chosen as a means to spend more time on Real Life adventures.

Its Been my pleasure to have had the privilege of knowing so many brilliantly talented friends and business associates throughout the last five years as the creator of The Sea Hole, and Collabor88. The colorful and boundless world of SL has forever changed my perspective on artistry, and imagination. The people Ive been so lucky to have known and befriended will always be remembered with fondness and warmth.
The Customers who have supported me and my various projects with their patronage and kindness will never ever be rivaled even on the best days in RL.

When I think of original creators, Drink is one of the first designers who come to mind. I have always been in awe of her ingenious hand drawn textures and stunning designs. She is also the brain child behind the super successful event, Collabor88. Thankfully, she has an amazing staff that will keep this event going strong. Drink and her fabulous designs will me missed tremendously. So, please make sure you run down to The Sea Hole and grab all your favorite creations before the doors close on May 31st. I am so sick of feeling crappy and am hoping for a speedy recovery. I figured I would start with a relatively easy post that just contained one image. However, nothing is ever fast or easy with me. LOL!, I tend to unnecessarily fuss over stupid things. I had this fabulous mesh 'Giant Dish Hat' that was created by Amberly Boccaccio of -Glam Affair-. In comes in a ton of stunning colors and is available at the L'Accessories event.
Speaking of -Glam Affair- goodness, I am wearing the beautiful new Margot skin, which was created by aida Ewing. It is a Collabor88 exclusive and comes in a choice 6 gorgeous make-ups, a ton of brow colors and also a 'clean' make-up option (which I am wearing). All the make-ups come in the America tone. It is not too dark and not too pale, so it should be a perfect skin tone for most. I really hope aida decides to create a whole line of this lovely skin. I was hoping to get this post up last night, before the Cosmetics Fair was over, but I failed :(. I chose to wear one of aida's amazing Margot full make-up tattoo's from this event for this post. However, you never know, she may decide to sell them in the -Glam Affair-  mainstore.
FINALLY! After much waiting, Kavar Cleanslate of Exile, just released a bunch of new hairstyles! This was a LONG awaited release and now we know why it took so long! It seems that Kavar was working on a new HUD system for his hair! There is a HUD for each color set (ie, dark blondes) and for each hair color (ie, Hollywood), there are 8 streaking options. You simply must try on a demo and see all the fabulous looks that you can create. I am wearing the gorgeous 'Desperately Wanting' hairstyle in the below image. However, due to the pose and camera angle, I was not able to show it off in a nice way. I ended up altering it with a ton of brushes in Photoshop, in order to give it a finished look. Especially since my glitchy avi was obstructing it's lovely flow. I will have to wear it in another image to show you just how awesome it is. In the meantime, you probably should just go try on demo and check-out all the great new releases!
Oh! I hope you can see the beautiful 'Perky Bowkerchief' from Aranel Ah of *BOOM*. It comes in every yummy color imaginable. There are 2 short styles, 2 long styles and 3 attachments points. It is indeed the perfect accessory to dress-up any outfit or no outfit at all, like below.

I am in so love with March's theme and color palette for Collabor88  I simply adore the soft pastels and romantic styles. I can't think of a better way to start the Spring season off! Sadly, there are only of few days left for this cycle of Collabor88, so you better hurry-up and get up over there! You will definitely NOT be disappointed.
For this post, my look is made-up mostly of March Collabor88 exclusives. I chose Azure Electricteeth's, of Tee*fy and LaViere, lovely mesh 'Elyse Wrapped Tucked Tank' and 'Estelle Fluffy Skirt'. They come in a ton of gorgeous colors that can mixed and matched and perfectly! I also chose this elegant 'Bow Scarf', created by Polyester Partridge of (Yummy)  to accessories this ensemble. And, of course, I could not resist adding these adorable 'Saddle Shoes' from Julliette Westerburg of Tres Blah. Like all of the other creations mentioned, they come in a ton of yummy colors and even with a seriously cute sock option too. All items mentioned are mesh as well.
Speaking of fabulous new releases, Winter Thorn and FrankLee Anatra of {what next} created one of my most favorite pose props for Pose Fair 2013 - The 'Bramley Bicycle'. They created two different bicycle pose props and each come in a male and female version. This bicycle comes equipped with a ton of  fabulous poses for both singles and couples. And, if that is not enough, the bike also has a texture change script to match any outfit or scene! In my opinion,{what next} brings some of the most incredible home decor and pose props to grid. So, you absolutely must check-out their 'Pose Fair' exclusives ASAP!
Although it is not a 'Pose Fair' exclusive, I had meaning to show this whimsical 'Adventure Playground Swingset', which is from {what next} as well. It is available for sale in several different texture options and has a multitude of charming single and couple animations. MOLiCHiNO for AVENUE Spring/Summer Fashion Week Part 1

Aurelia Chauveau of  MOLiCHiNO s definitely on my list of  'SL's Top 10' designers. She has managed to consistently win me over with her perfectly rendered mesh and sleek designs. So, suffice it to say, I was ecstatic to find out that she was participating in 'AVENUE's Spring/Summer Fashion Week 2013'. For this post, I chose her gorgeous 'lemur gown'. It reminds me a lot of Valentino and you can not help but feel amazing when wearing it. I definitely recommend trying on demo and visiting this awesome event!
I am also wearing a brand new skin from PXL Creations, called "Jade". Unfortunately, since it is an April Collabor88 exclusive, it will not be available until to April 8th. I thought Sophia was my favorite PXL skin, but Jade has truly won me over. I love the youthful face that is reminiscent of Sophia and the perfect lips. The lips have a similar feel to GAIA, which I adore, but Hart created a whole new texture and shape for them. The body, as always, is perfectly rendered. Jade will be available in 4 different make-ups in the NAT(ural) skin tone. I am sure there will be more tones and make-ups to come, when Collabor88 is over (*hint hint*). I have been fairly ill the last couple of months and if that is not bad enough, my laptop has been overheating as soon as I start SL. I cleaned the dust out of my laptop again, so I hope this helps. AVENUE Fashion Week featuring *LpD*

It is time for the Spring/Summer AVENUE Fashion Week 2013, which will be filled with tons of amazing fashion shows that feature some of SL's most talented designers. Since I couldn't be at the shows in the RL, this is definitely second best! My first preview and post for AVENUE Fashion Week, is a fabulous '*Queen* Dress White Dress' from Nevery Lorakeet of  *LpD* If you long full gowns, this is definitely perfect creation for you. It is further accentuated with an amazing mesh corset. I have been sick the past week, so I will try to make this post as short as possible. I have this gorgeous 'Bibbe' dress, which was created by Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice  It is an Arcade exclusive, so this definitely one item that is well worth trying you gacha luck out on. Sissy also just released these fabulous 'Athena' pumps. What makes them especially cool,  is the fact that they come with and without a sock option. If you choose the sock option, there is a HUD with tons of colors and textures for you too choose from.
Gyorgyna Larnia FINALLY created new full release for Spring that is called, 'Fran'. It is made up beautiful vinyl bow adorned headbands, scarves, belts and bangles. Skin Fair Review Part One

There are so many wonderful skins to be found at 'Skin Fair 2013'. So, I figured I would do it in 'Portrait Styled' sections. For this post, I decided to feature the gorgeous new skin, Mya, from Tricky Boucher of -Belleza- . Mya is available in 5 gorgeous skin tones and 10 stunning make-ups. She comes with blond, dark and red brows, which are embedded into the skin. In addition, Mya comes with 7 optional lip tattoo layers, a cleavage layer (tattoo and shirt) and also a hair base tattoo (blonde, dark and red). It is obvious that Tricky worked hard to bring a different look to this skin. The shading and skin definition is superb. I also noticed a change in lips shape, which is also quite beautiful too.
 I also decided to feature rebeca Dembo's, of CandyDoll, latest Skin Fair creation, called Hanna. Hanna comes in 4 lovely skin tones. Each tone comes with a hair base, teeth option and cleavage option that is embedded into the skin. Hanna also comes with 4 freckle tattoo layers.The freckles are an especially nice bonus and are beautifully rendered too! I really love the fresh faced skin and perfectly defined lips that Hanna has to offer.

Hmm! Where to start? I am going to try to make this post as brief a short as possible, since I have been dealing with a Firestorm bug, which made me think my graphic card was going. So, I know some of these image are not my best.
I have had this AMAZING 'Cutout Leather Dress' from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, It is a FaMESHed exclusive and seriously gorgeous. I especially like the intricate detailing on the collar.

I know this is bit late...Yesss...What is new? This is "Lila The Always Late Blogger". Anyway, Jin Elfan of Belgravia and Leverocci, just released and amazing new collection last week. It is made of streamlined short and sexy dresses. It also included an extraordinary Mink jacket (mind you, no animals were harmed in the making of this amazing coat...maybe a few furries though). Anyway, for this post I chose to feature her gorgeous 'Atelier Panel Dress'. I love the simple lines and sleek belt that cinches the dress at the waist. It comes in a ton of colors and dual tones.
