Keeping It Casual Chic

I have been trying to keep up with all the amazing events lately. February has been a huge month for events! I would  actually like to start off my post with one item that is not an event exclusive, but gorgeous non-the-less. It is the fabulous Saoya Dress from Marry Lemur of Overhigh. I love the soft cashmere textured feel to this dress. I also adore the relaxed and generous boat neck top that is tapered into sleek and sexy mini dress. This is one dress that you simply must demo!

Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo created this fabulous Mabel Necklace and Mable Earrings in gold for GizzA Creation's "Love is in the Air" event, which is going on until the 28th. So please make sure go and check it out before it ends!

This "to-die for hairstyle" is from Truth Hawks and it is called Bryn. Truth has been releasing a ton of new and brilliant styles, so make sure go and demo it all!

Glam Affair for Shoetopia 2013

SHOETOPIA is HERE! It is literally Shoe Heaven! Not only does the build look heavenly, but all those wonderful shoes.... Who could ask for more? There are so many new shoe designers, besides the shoe creators we all know and love. Read on, for more details about one of the most talked about break-out designers in regard to mesh feet!

The designers over at -Glam Affair- and ~Tableau Vivant~ have been creating (with perfection) almost everything that your avatar could ever need or want. Some of these things include: Skins (obviously), Appliers (Lolas, Slink Hands, Slink Feet & Phat Azz), Clothes, Shoes, Make-ups, Mesh Liners and Lashes, Hair (over at ~Tableau Vivant~) and Poses/Sets (over at ~Tableau Vivant~). Now they have finally released mesh feet! The mesh feet are part of their new 'Vanity Line'! M4ri1yn Magic is the talented creator behind the new 'Vanity Line', which is making it's debut over at SHOETOPIA. The first installation of the long awaited 'Vanity Line' are these fabulous 'Ballerina' feet.They are mesh feet wrapped in a delicate bands and ribbons.

M4ri1yn also created an easy to use to HUD, especially if you wear -Glam Affair- skins. Here is the info in regard to how it works:  

The hud features two sides:

-On the main side you'll find seven presets (that match Glam Affair tones), ten natural toe nails presets and the bands colors, textile and vinyl. You can hide the ends of the ribbon/band by clicking 'ends off'. To make them visible again just select a color (in the packs version) or the 'ends on' button for single packs.

-The back side has the color picker for both skins and nails, to adjust the tones and the nail natural/polish presets as needed.

There is slso a RGB button for specific tints provided; you can always switch back to white by clicking the reset button.

As mentioned previously, The 'Ballerina' line comes with a choice of two fabrics for the ribbon. You can choose from vinyl or textile fabric. You can also buy the fatpack, which includes both fabrics and a ton of gorgeous colors for the band/ribbon. 

I am really excited about this new line of mesh feet. There is also a male version of the 'Ballerina' feet that can be purchased at SHOETOPIA right now. I can't wait to see what M4ri1yn comes up with next!

I am in LOVE with this relatively new 'BE' dress from Marry Lemur of Overhigh. I adore the fitted bodice and skirt that has beautiful diaphanous skirt that flows on top. It definitely has a ballerina-esque feel to it. 

The skin was easy to choose for this post. I chose to wear aida Ewing's (of -Glam Affair- ) latest release for Collabor88. It is part of her latest 'Elvi' skin line, which is primarily made for younger avatars (ie, teens and children). It still can be worn by older avatars and look just as phenomenal. There are 12 make-ups available (including a 'Bare' skin option) in the America skin tone at Collabor88.This is definitely one opportunity you do not want to miss! Be sure to demo it ASAP!

To top of my look, I chose one of Truth Hawks latest hair releases, called 'Faye'. 'Faye' is so lovely and is definitely the perfect updo!

October Madness

There have been so many events and releases this month, which makes it almost impossible to keep up! We have the Cosmetics Fair and Kustom9, just to name a few. Plus a ton of new hair releases.
Nina Helix of .Birdy Skins. released a gorgeous version of her Rose skin line for the Cosmetics Fair.

I paired the skin with one Truth Hawks awesome new releases, called Katya. I absolutely adore the texture change hat that she comes with.
For Kustom9, aida Ewing of Glam Affair released a special edition of her latest Neva skin. It is available in 5 gorgeous make-ups in the Europa skin tone.

For the first 3 Neva make-ups, I decided to wear one of Tabata Jewell ,of Vanity Hair, fabulous recent hair releases, called Say my Name. I am in love with these long wild curls. This is definitely one hair that you absolutely must demo!
I also chose this wonderful statement necklace from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo, called Rebekah. It is a TDR Fusion exclusive and is available in gold, silver and black.

For the last 2 Neva make-up  for Kustom9, I chose to wear this brilliant new hair from M4ri1yn Magic of ~Tableau Vivant~. This sultry hair is called, Vlodovic, and is another wardrobe must.

Birdy Skins for Chapter Four

I basically stopped doing full skin "reviews", because they take me FOREVER to finish. I am talking days! I have no idea why I am so slow. So, I am trying a new approach and am trying it again. My next couple of posts will be all about skin.
Speaking of skin... One of the newest skins that have really caught my attention, are Birdy Skins. nina Helix, the designer behind Birdy Skins, creates the most beautiful hand drawn skins. They have a lovely and soft ethereal feel to them, not unlike the skins from -tres blah-. Since the skin is hand drawn and not completely photo-sourced, you will find a few minor imperfections in some of the features. Personally, I find these small imperfections, the most charming part about these skins. Nina's skins are also extremely affordable. In fact, I think she needs to charge more for these high quality creations. For this round of Chapter Four, you can find her new "Ingrid" skin for just 99L per make-up!

There are a total of 4 make-ups , which come in her 'pure' skin tone, that come with several options. Each make-up has 3 different types of shading embedded into the skin - Dew, Matte and Regular. There are also 5 brow options that are embedded into the skin - Bare, Blonde, Brown, Red and Black. There is a gloss tattoo as well.

I highly recommend going over to Chapter Four and demoing this skin. I also suggest checking out Nina's Birdy Skins Mainstore too. 

I am so happy that Kavar Cleanslate of Exile is releasing ahir again! He has definitely been missed. This month, he is participating in 3 different events with a gorgeous exclusive style for each. In the above pics, I am wearing his FaMESHed exclusive, called "Where We Belong". It is a fabulous side bun/ponytail hybrid with long wavy locks. A definite MUST have!

Because I was barely here for August, I did not get a chance to blog Daphne Klossovsky's (of HANDverk), "Zelda Necklace and Earrings". They were an August Collabor88 Exclusive, but they are available in the HANDverk Mainstore now. Daphne has an amazing eye for detail and creates the most brilliant pieces. I aimpley adore this art deco inspired set, which is available incomes in a ton of colors.

Still Thinking About A Title...

I was feeling quite fluish the last few days, so it felt like forever since I had posted. Even if I only take a couple days off from SL, there is always so much stuff that has happened in my absence. Marry Lemur of Overhigh is always creating and releasing so many wonderful items. I have no idea how she manages to come up with so many gorgeous designs so quickly, but she does! I seriously love all her latest releases, so it is impossible to choose just one favorite. However, for this post, I chose her new 'Bob' dress.

 I was really drawn to it's chic geometrical print, which is mixed with a relaxed and sexy diaphanous texture.  It just screams Summer, even though it almost Fall. But, I refuse to submit to Autumn clothes just yet!

As for accessories, I added some bold and gold new statement pieces from LaGyo's new Summer Collection. Gyo's new collection is to DIE for! So, do yourself a favor and check it out ASAP. It is located in a Safari-like tent in front of the LaGyo Mainstore. 

I also could not resist this new 'Lion Tail Necklace' from Daphne Klossovsky of HANDverk! Actually, I think it was released a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I had been experiencing a lot trouble with my inventory and had been missing a lot of items - including this one. I just finally sorted the problem out (literally) and found this stunning necklace that Daphne had released for this round of the Zodiac. I am always amazed at her eye for detail. This is another MUST have!

Ok, I am really EXCITED about these last two items! One of these items are the new Slink feet appliers from -Belleza- ! FINALLY! I have been waiting and waiting for -Belleza- to release their Slink appliers for feet! They had already released their hand appliers, so it just made me that much more impatient. I am addicted to appliers for Slink's mesh feet and hands. I was completely at a loss, since I wear -Belleza-  skin all the time. Anyway, they are beautiful and well worth the wait! Shyla Diggs did an extraordinary job with the texturing! They are in the -Belleza- Mainstore now, so go grab them!

OMG! And these shoes are just too fabulous words! Jin Elfan of Leverocci outdid herself again! These super luxurious 'Satin Wrap Heels' are not only beautiful, but designed to be worn with Slink's medium height mesh feet - which is another aspect about these shoes that I adore. As long as I have applier's from my favorite skin designers, I am set! No more fussing for hours, while trying to match my feet to my skin. I also can not get over how perfectly rendered these shoes are! They are available in a ton of colors and also a plastic version too. You HAVE to try these shoes on right NOW! You will not want to take them off!

Vanity Hair at Hair Fair 2013

Vanity Hair is a name that has become synonymous with "high fashion and glamorous" hair. Tabata Jewell,  who is the brilliant designer behind the name "Vanity Hair", always strives to create unique and fashion forward style styles. What I love most abut her hair releases, is that they are always fabulous and unpredictable. You just never know what she will create next! It could be a stunning updo or it could be an edgy flirty style. However, for this year's Hair Fair, which will be be ending tomorrow, she went all glam! All 3 styles that she created are absolutely STUNNING and a must have for any fashionista's wardrobe.  Well, why don't you take a look for yourself at the below picture?

I really can not pic a favorite style. I love the full and slightly tussled look of "Fantastic Girl". I adore the large curl adorned updo with a sleek middle part in the front, which makes up "Sonata". And "Boys will be Boys's" super chic low pony, which also has a middle part, is just too hard to resist. The Home Show Is Here!

There are a lot of events that are going on this Summer. One of my favorite types of events involve home and garden creations. So, suffice it to say, I am really excited to be a part of this year's Home Show. The Home Show's awesome organizer, Valena Vacano, managed to put together two beautiful sims full of SL's best home/garden decor builders and designers. There are so many fabulous event exclusives that I had no clue to where to start! I decided on the garden. I had fallen in love with this adorable and beautifully made, 'Garden Daybed' from Tegan Serin of floorplan. They come in several colors/patterns choices, as well as having a ton of great animations to choose from. I added some shabby chicness to the mix with Cory Edo's, of Trompe Loeil, 'Pallet Chairs'. They come in 3 different style options - regular, with pillow and with a blanket. I needed a table, so I used this 'Deconstructed Coffee Table' from Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea. This coffee table is gorgeous and has so many amazing little details too. Be sure to see to more of it. LOL.

I could not help but show-off this brilliant 'Mesh Garden Shed' from Heavenly Villa of L'aize Dayz. Her eye for detail is extraordinary.The structure is simple, pretty and the perfect addition to any garden (just like all the other items in these images). Since I have had a crazy week, I decided to sneak a quick LOTD into this post too. I have been wanting to post this lovely 'Boat Set' from Marry Lemur of Overhigh. I think this is definitely the quintessential short set for Summer. Marry has been releasing tons of wonderful new creations lately, so be sure to stop by her store and check it all out.

The stunning skin I am wearing, is the soon-to-be-released 'Jade' skin from Hart Larsson of [PXL Creations]. 'Jade' definitely represents a new generations of skins for [PXL]. There are major changes in this skin's shading and features, especially the lips (which I LOVE). Please stay tuned for a full release within the next couple of weeks! 

This 'Pig Tail' styled hair from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile, is just too cute for words! It is not a new release, but a fairly recent release that I have been waiting for a chance to blog. So, be sure to TP over to Exile and try on Kavar's new styles. You will be really like his new HUD hair coloring system too. There are so many options to choose from now!
