May Collabor88 Perfect Pin-ups

May Collabor88 is here and well underway! Once again, the Collabor88 creators managed to wow me with their amazing themed creations. Just when I think they can not top the previous rounds, they prove me wrong! LOL! The theme for May is called, Milkshakes and Turntables, which is definitely one of my favorite themes to date! What exactly is Milkshakes and Turntables? It's a perfect mix of late 50's to early 60's tailored styles and kitsch with a rockabilly edge. The color palette includes shades of pink, aqua, mint, red and black.

Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy created the following look, which sums up Collabor88's May theme perfectly! I am totally in love with her Unbuttoned Knotted Shirt, as well as these High-Waisted Skinny Jeans. As always, Azure's creations are textured and rendered to perfection, making this ensemble even more irresistible! By the way, the Unbuttoned Knotted Shirt comes with a HUD, so you can change the color/pattern of the inside top. You can also chose to wear the shirt without the inside top.
These seriously sexy Moxi Heels from Darling Monday of fri.day are to DIE FOR! I love the glamorous pin-up girl feel of these peep-toe heels, which were made to be worn with Slink's AvEnhance Feet (High). You will definitely want to grab these shoes in every color available!

The super talented Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo, created the perfect accessories to go with all your Collabor88 exclusives. She made these fabulous Mary Bow Bandanas that come in a ton of iconic patterns and prints. Gyo also designed these gorgeous Mary Swallow Earrings, which add a bit of rockabilly kitsch. Speaking of awesome Collabor88 accessories, Polyester Partridge of (Yummy), created this delicious Cherry Necklace, as well as a whole line of other fruity necklaces and colorful baubles.

aida Ewing of Glam Affair, created another STUNNING new skin for Collabor88, called Coral! She is available in 8 beautiful make-ups and in a choice of 3 skin tones (Arctic, Asia and America). Each make-up comes in 8 different brow colors (embedded into the skin), as well as no brow option too! I'm trying really hard to catch-up with all the AMAZING Collabor88 exclusives for April. I would love to blog every single thing that can be found there this month, but I don't think that will happen. LOL! But I will try. The super talented Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy, created this seriously gorgeous Sophie Cut-Out Ruffle Top and Su Pencil Skirt. I really love Sophie's delicate spaghetti strap top that are further complemented by an asymmetrical ruffled bottom. The Su Pencil Skirt is beautifully fitted with demure slit that goes up the side. Maxi Gossamer has been making shoes! She been creating wonderful and well detailed sandals that are to be worn with Slink's Avatar Enhanced Mesh Feet. My camera did a terrible job of picking-up this lovely Charmed Anklet in the first pic, so I took this close-up pic (see above image). The anklet was created by the talented Caelyn Hancroft of Cae. Not only is this anklet delicate and beautiful, but the charm can be changed via HUD (The Pic of the HUD, as well as all the charm options, is at the top of the above image). You have got to LOVE that! You can also change the metal to, which comes in a choice of silver or gold. Each package includes an anklet for both your right and left ankles, as well as version for heels! This is the perfect warm weather accessory. My Grandmother just passed away and it was totally unexpected. I have spent the last few days in tears, while trying to get everything together before I fly out. I was hoping do a full a post. but I am on way out the door and will have limited internet access at my Grandmothers. I probably wouldn't even have time to post anyway. Winter Events!

There are so many great events that are going on right now that is almost impossible to keep up. So for this post, I wanted to show a sampling of some of favorite my event exclusives that feature skin, hair and accessories....

Since I was so busy with RL over the Holidays, I didn't get a chance to post all the new items that I wanted to. So I am going to do it now! 

nina Helix of .Birdy. Skins, created this beautiful new skin line, called Jordan. Jordan comes in more darker ethnic skin tones, in contrast to Nina's lighter toned skin releases. She is available in 6 lovely skin tones, which include: Toffee, Latte, Olive, Coco, Mocha and Cafe. The skin itself is pretty much bare, but it is so gorgeous that is does not need much make-up. It was a December Collabor88 exclusive, but it should be in that ~Tableau Vivant~  Mainstore by now. The hair is unisex and is made of rigged mesh, so it comes in several sizes. I love the HUD driven color packs which are based on the 4 Seasons. This is gives you a ton of wonderful tones choose from. The hat is texture change too via HUD and allows for every color imaginable. This is definitely a Winter MUST!

These amazing statement earrings by AvaGardner Kungler, were a TDR Fusion exclusive from (Kunglers Extra) and come in 3 different metals (copper, gold and silver). I do hope you can pick these up in the Mainstore too.

Always Save Some Of The Best For Last!

If you read my blog often, then you know I tend to wait towards the end of an event to post some of my favorite items. I would love to post such items as soon as I get them, but the feeds are usually so saturated with the same designs at that time. So this is why I like to wait until the things slow down a bit. Plus, these are often creations that you may have forgotten about, especially if you were not able to get into the event right away.
I was soooooo excited to find out that Onyx LeShelle of Maitreya is now a permanent Collabor88 designer! Her debut creations for December were absolutely phenomenal, but I would expect no less from this iconic and gifted designer.

Onyx created this fabulous Oversized Coat in several lovely soft and muted tones. I can never have enough over-sized coats, especially ones like this that work well for layering. I paired Onyx's Panel Leggings with this coat, since they went together perfectly! I also adore the geometrical feel that the panels give to the overall look. Please make sure you run over to Collabor88 to try on these demos, since today is the last day for the December cycle!

Speaking of gorgeous December Collabor88 exclusives, Bubbles Clawtooth of Clawtooth, created this AMAZING headband adorned hair style, called Snuggle Party! The name of this hair says it all. The over-sized knit headband (I know it is not really a headband, but my brain is a bit dead at the moment) keeps your head warm and cozy, while still looking fabulous. Plus, I love the wispy and slightly messy tendrils. Bubbles has been on a roll lately, especially when it comes to creating such gorgeous and unique hair styles. This is another MUST demo at Collabor88 before it ends. 

aida Ewing of -Glam Affair-, created a new line of skin for this round of Collabor88. It is called, Mokatana (Hmm... I wonder where she got this name from?) and she is seriously lovely! It is available in the America skin tone and comes in several beautiful make-ups with 7 different brow colors embedded into the skin! Need I say DEMO it ASAP?

That Old Black Magic Called Love

A new round of Collabor88 has arrived for October! Just when you think it can't any better than the last cycle, it does! For October the theme is "Black Magic". Think sleek structured lines, soft leathers and lace details. All in tones of black, brown, purple, teal and tan. It is impossible to pick a favorite item this round, so I chose to wear the first thing I saw in my messy inventory, which was this gorgeous 'Dakota Corset Gown' from the uber talented Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy. What makes this gown particularity special, is that is comes with 4 wear options! You can wear it as gown, like I am wearing in the below pics. It also can be worn as chic mini dress - strapless or with a sheer overlay. You can also just wear the bottom part of the gown as skirt. This dress can be worn so many different ways, it is just up to you how you choose to style it.

Claire Messenger of N-core has been releasing so many beautiful new shoes lately. Her latest release is called "SHAE". I love how this fabulous heel is made up of thick sexy leather straps that are adorned with a shiny buckle. This is a definite wardrobe must!

I was having a really hard time deciding on accessories. So I decided to show you two different looks. In the above pics, I could not resist wearing this brilliant mask 'Up-To-No-Good Mask' from Polyester Partridge of (Yummy). It is also a Collabor88 exclusive this month.

In the below pic, I decides to go with this seriously lovely "Vlora" headpiece, which was created by Chirzaka Vlodovic of *LODE* Headwear. This floral headpiece is to die for and comes in a ton of colors too. You can pick it up at L'accessoires. 

I also went with two different skins. The first skin, which I am wearing in the above two pics, is Glam Affair's 'Lucy' in a snow skin tone. However, I messed-up. I thought it was still available at TDR Fusion, but it is no longer there. I am so sorry about this. On a brighter note, aida Ewing of Glam Affair released 4 more make-ups of her latest 'Neva' skin line for Collabor88. It is available in Artic and Jamaica skin tones. 

Truth Hawks just recently released a couple gorgeous new updos. I am in LOVE with this braided updo, which is called "Vida", that has perfectly whispy tendrils framing my avatar's face.

Falling Forward

I think my laptop issues are fixed now and I feeling a little better. I am very behind though. I know much of what I am showing you has already been seen. However, since I love these creations, I will show them anyway. Most of the creation's I am wearing can be found at this month's Collabor88!
Harry Hyx of ISON  really went all out for this month's round of Collabor88. He basically came out with a whole new Autumn line. He created gorgeous opened pea coats, delicate pleated shorts, soft wool sweaters, beautiful over-sized leather clutches and super sexy riding boots. For this post, I chose to wear all these items, except for the sweater, which you will see in an upcoming post!

 I couldn't help but wear Azure Electricteeth's (of Tee*fy) lovely 'Turtle Neck Basic Sweater' with this ensemble. This sweater is truly a wardrobe MUST! It comes with several wear options, which include two specifically made for layering! I love mesh, but I hate that it can be difficult to layer. With the colder weather approaching, you can see where this can be especially troublesome. This sweater works with everything!

Did I mention just how hot ISON's 'Cult Riding Boots' are? Harry Hyx has this wonderful ability to create clothes that are both smart and sexy. They hug the female form in just right places; showing just enough, but not too much. You really must grab all these items, especially at Collabor88's amazing prices. 

Truth is back and with a lot more colors! After almost a month of no new releases, he came through with this gorgeous new hat adorned style, called 'Juniper', for FaMESHed. This style is not the only new thing Truth has created. His hair now colored via HUD. Since the HUD holds many more shades per color pack, including his 'root' options, I doubt you will have any problem finding the perfect color, I had heard he was making this change, like so many of SL's hair designers, but was not sure when it would happen. I am sure you discovered this by now, since he has released more hairstyles. Anyway, I am really excited about this change and glad it is finally here! Now my biggest problem is deciding what shade to wear! Btw, I think I will do a post devoted to all the recent hair releases, since I had not been able to blog much this month. There have been so many amazing new hair releases from all my favorite virtual stylists.

Beautiful, But Late

Do to health reasons and other RL stuff, I had not been around SL much for the last 6 weeks (give or take). So, suffice it to say, I was late meeting my deadline to post these pics for the August cycle of Collabor88 . However, since I had taken these pictures and I was so in love with all of August's creations, I figured I would post them anyway. I do believe that almost all the Collabor88 exclusives will be in the designer's mainstore. So, let me post these pics and credits really quick. Btw, aida Ewing's (of  -Glam Affair- ) new "Katya" skin that I am wearing is too gorgeous for words!

Azure Electricteeth (of Tee*fy) and Marie Laurderson (Milk Motion) really went out of their way to create the most lovely 20's inspired clothes and accessories. 

Gyorgyna Larnia (of  LaGyo) also out did herself with here "Helen Necklace and Bangles" . 

All of the home decor items were amazing too. Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea and Ewan Mureaux of Conspiracy Theory, collaborated on this fabulous art deco inspired "Beresford Vanity, Clock and Wall Light". The "Beresford Collection" also includes a bed, night stand, dresser and lamp in a choice of "Razzle" or "Dazzle" color palates.

I am also in love with this "Mission Armoire" by warehousefifteendesigns Resident of Apple Fall. M4ri1yn Magic of  ~Tableau Vivant~, made the brilliant "Stag Chair", which comes with a choice of 2 texture changing options - via script or via HUD. The wall mirrors, framed prints, and room are all part of the "Alders Living Room in Mahogany" from The Loft.
