1.1.11 - First Look of The Day and Year ( Feat. Modd. G )

Wow! 2011! We are officially head-on into a new decade. The arrival of this new year brings on A LOT of reflection of years past and what the future holds in store. I am reminded of the people in my life who I am thankful for and gifts that I once may thought of as a burden. Now, much of these realizations are personal, so I won't get it into here. So, I figured I would state quickly where I would like to see this blog going in the new year.
I have come a long way in SL. Not only is is new year for me, but I am now one year old and my blog is almost 8 months old. I came into this knowing nothing and had no idea I would even get this far. I have so many people to thank for this and I think you all know who you are. What I would like to implement into this blog, are more 'LOTD' type styling. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE featuring designer's new releases, especially those that I love and respect. However, I also would like to show more of my own style. Plus, by doing this, I get to put my 130K+ inventory to use. *LOL* So, if you have any ideas, comments or feedback, please feel free to let me know. J'adore Mon Tissu!

Unless you have been living under a sculpted prim rock, you had to have seen, or at least heard about, the debut designs from { Mon Tissu }. I know many of us have been eagerly awaiting the opening of this store, since it is the merging of two of  SL's most talented and favorited designers, Julliette Westerburg and Emma Gilmour. However, for this venture, they are going under the alternative avatars, Elie Spot and Anouk Spot. Regardless of what names they use, their creation are even more brilliant than I anticipated. Staying true to their talent, all their designs and textures are hand drawn. I am always amazed at how realistic and detailed these pieces are, especially since they are not loaded down with tons sculpted prims. However, the sculpted prims, which are crafted to perfection, are works of art in themselves. So, I could go on about { Mon Tissu } and all the incredible features of their designs forever, but I'll just let you take a look for yourself. *With Love From....Hunt Finds.....Part 1

I know I am a bit late on the previews for the 'With Love From....Hunt', but I still want to share some of my favorite finds in a few installments. This time of year there are so many amazing events going on, so it can be difficult keep up with everything. Anyway, in regard to 'With Love From...', I tried to create my looks using predominantly finds from the hunt. I must say that all the items I received from this hunt were exceptional. All the designers really went all out to give us high quality creations for a mere $10L! This is definitely one hunt you do NOT want to miss. And, just so you know, the second half of this hunt, which is called 'Happy Holidays', will be starting on the December 10th at ISPACHI. I will have some previews to show you in an up coming post. Woot! Another amazing week for Truth's releases! This week Truth kept things simple and just released 2 styles instead of his usual 3 or 4. I am sure he's been very busy with his new collections. So, even with all this stuff going on, Truth still managed to grace us with 'Joey' and 'Gwyneth'. I have been thinking of words to describe 'Joey', since this style is quite ingenious and unique. So, I guess I would categorize her as a combination 'faux hawk/ up-do' that is softened around the face with graceful side-swept bangs. Truly amazing! Then we have 'Gwyneth', whose style is long and romantic. Her wavy locks are pulled back on one side and fastened with an adorable color clip. New from TRUTH

I am just getting over being really sick, so this post will be a bit short and sweet. However, I do want say that I was super impressed by Truth Hawk's releases this week. Yes, I always love his new releases, but Truth really went all out this week. We have a lovely 'updo'  called 'Bonnie' and an ultra chic 'partial updo', named 'Sonya'. And of course, I couldn't forget about his two fabulous new long hair styles, called Francesca, who come is 2 slightly different versions. Like most of Truth's latest releases, all styles come in a standard version and a streaked version with 63 colors to choose from. You have got to love that! New 'Fall Courds' from *BOOM*

Aranel Ah has just created these super cute new 'Fall Courds' and I am completely in LOVE with them! They are long corduroy shorts that come with two different cuff options. To make for an easy fit, Aranel also included two different sizes for each cuff style. You have go to love that! I must say that these are the perfect addition to one's Fall wardrobe. They can be worn with a long sleeve tee for a casual look, or a nice jacket for a more classic look. Basically, the options are are endless and these courds are a definite MUST buy. Plus, who can't resist Aranel's  amazing detailing and adept prim-work? As always, the 'Fall Courds' come in a myriad of different colors, so I am sure you will have no problem finding your favorite colors. NEW 'Low Waist Jeans' from Hyper Culture!

Just like shoes, I can never have enough jeans. And just when I thought I couldn't find another style with that extra something special, Christensia Parkin sends me her latest creation....'Low Waist Jeans'. They come in 5 gorgeous colors and are have a deliciously low cut waist, which shows just a hint of booty. The shading on these jeans is absolutely remarkable and Christensia has really outdone herself with the incredible prim-work on the cuffs.
