That Old Black Magic Called Love

A new round of Collabor88 has arrived for October! Just when you think it can't any better than the last cycle, it does! For October the theme is "Black Magic". Think sleek structured lines, soft leathers and lace details. All in tones of black, brown, purple, teal and tan. It is impossible to pick a favorite item this round, so I chose to wear the first thing I saw in my messy inventory, which was this gorgeous 'Dakota Corset Gown' from the uber talented Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy. What makes this gown particularity special, is that is comes with 4 wear options! You can wear it as gown, like I am wearing in the below pics. It also can be worn as chic mini dress - strapless or with a sheer overlay. You can also just wear the bottom part of the gown as skirt. This dress can be worn so many different ways, it is just up to you how you choose to style it.

Claire Messenger of N-core has been releasing so many beautiful new shoes lately. Her latest release is called "SHAE". I love how this fabulous heel is made up of thick sexy leather straps that are adorned with a shiny buckle. This is a definite wardrobe must!

I was having a really hard time deciding on accessories. So I decided to show you two different looks. In the above pics, I could not resist wearing this brilliant mask 'Up-To-No-Good Mask' from Polyester Partridge of (Yummy). It is also a Collabor88 exclusive this month.

In the below pic, I decides to go with this seriously lovely "Vlora" headpiece, which was created by Chirzaka Vlodovic of *LODE* Headwear. This floral headpiece is to die for and comes in a ton of colors too. You can pick it up at L'accessoires. 

I also went with two different skins. The first skin, which I am wearing in the above two pics, is Glam Affair's 'Lucy' in a snow skin tone. However, I messed-up. I thought it was still available at TDR Fusion, but it is no longer there. I am so sorry about this. On a brighter note, aida Ewing of Glam Affair released 4 more make-ups of her latest 'Neva' skin line for Collabor88. It is available in Artic and Jamaica skin tones. 

Truth Hawks just recently released a couple gorgeous new updos. I am in LOVE with this braided updo, which is called "Vida", that has perfectly whispy tendrils framing my avatar's face. 

Maxi Gossamer outdid herself again with this 'Shadow Cross' necklace. This too is a Collabor88 exclusive this month!

Light!

I am so sick of feeling crappy and am hoping for a speedy recovery. I figured I would start with a relatively easy post that just contained one image. However, nothing is ever fast or easy with me. LOL!, I tend to unnecessarily fuss over stupid things. I had this fabulous mesh 'Giant Dish Hat' that was created by Amberly Boccaccio of -Glam Affair-. In comes in a ton of stunning colors and is available at the L'Accessories event.
Speaking of -Glam Affair- goodness, I am wearing the beautiful new Margot skin, which was created by aida Ewing. It is a Collabor88 exclusive and comes in a choice 6 gorgeous make-ups, a ton of brow colors and also a 'clean' make-up option (which I am wearing). All the make-ups come in the America tone. It is not too dark and not too pale, so it should be a perfect skin tone for most. I really hope aida decides to create a whole line of this lovely skin. I was hoping to get this post up last night, before the Cosmetics Fair was over, but I failed :(. I chose to wear one of aida's amazing Margot full make-up tattoo's from this event for this post. However, you never know, she may decide to sell them in the -Glam Affair-  mainstore.
FINALLY! After much waiting, Kavar Cleanslate of Exile, just released a bunch of new hairstyles! This was a LONG awaited release and now we know why it took so long! It seems that Kavar was working on a new HUD system for his hair! There is a HUD for each color set (ie, dark blondes) and for each hair color (ie, Hollywood), there are 8 streaking options. You simply must try on a demo and see all the fabulous looks that you can create. I am wearing the gorgeous 'Desperately Wanting' hairstyle in the below image. However, due to the pose and camera angle, I was not able to show it off in a nice way. I ended up altering it with a ton of brushes in Photoshop, in order to give it a finished look. Especially since my glitchy avi was obstructing it's lovely flow. I will have to wear it in another image to show you just how awesome it is. In the meantime, you probably should just go try on demo and check-out all the great new releases!
Oh! I hope you can see the beautiful 'Perky Bowkerchief' from Aranel Ah of *BOOM*. It comes in every yummy color imaginable. There are 2 short styles, 2 long styles and 3 attachments points. It is indeed the perfect accessory to dress-up any outfit or no outfit at all, like below.

Skin Fair Review Part One

There are so many wonderful skins to be found at 'Skin Fair 2013'. So, I figured I would do it in 'Portrait Styled' sections. For this post, I decided to feature the gorgeous new skin, Mya, from Tricky Boucher of -Belleza- . Mya is available in 5 gorgeous skin tones and 10 stunning make-ups. She comes with blond, dark and red brows, which are embedded into the skin. In addition, Mya comes with 7 optional lip tattoo layers, a cleavage layer (tattoo and shirt) and also a hair base tattoo (blonde, dark and red). It is obvious that Tricky worked hard to bring a different look to this skin. The shading and skin definition is superb. I also noticed a change in lips shape, which is also quite beautiful too.
 I also decided to feature rebeca Dembo's, of CandyDoll, latest Skin Fair creation, called Hanna. Hanna comes in 4 lovely skin tones. Each tone comes with a hair base, teeth option and cleavage option that is embedded into the skin. Hanna also comes with 4 freckle tattoo layers.The freckles are an especially nice bonus and are beautifully rendered too! I really love the fresh faced skin and perfectly defined lips that Hanna has to offer.

Fell into a sea of grass and disappeared among the shady blades...

I apologize to everyone for my lack of posts. Unfortunately  I have had some serious RL family matters to attend to. I hope things will improve soon and then I can get back up to my normal lazy schedule. LOL. I really do not want to go into detail about what is going on, so I won't. I just hope things work-out out well over the few days. I will be under a lot of stress util then.
Anyway, in more uplifting news, I have a lot of gorgeous creations to show you! I am so excited that cocoro Lemon has been creating again. Her mesh is seriously amazing! Of course, since she has always been on of SL's best designers, I would expect no less. For this post, I wearing *COCO*'s latest 'CroppedSweater&Shirt'. This for me is the perfect layered top. I just adore the button-down blouse with a cropped sweater layered over it, is a definite wardrobe staple. I love to layer, but mesh makes it very difficult. I love mesh, but I also miss being able to layer with ease. So this top is nice alternative.
Aranel Ah, of*BOOM*, created an awesome line of over-sized mesh 'Norfolk Tweeds' pants. I love their relaxed, but still very classic feel.
I sure most have you seen me wear the limited edition 'Sophia' skin line from [PXL Creations], which was created for the 'Around The World' event. I know many people have been wondering if and when a full line will be released. Well, just so you know, a full line is in the works! It will made up of seven skintones (like FAITH and KATE) with many make-up options and released VERY soon! I am really excited about this, especially since 'Sophia' is my favorite [PXL] skin to date. The skin is hand painted with an extraordinary amount of detail. So, I could not help but show a sneak preview of one of the new make-ups. It is the sunkissed tone with peach-glossed lips. Hart really did a perfect job! However, until the full line is released, the limited edition 'Sophia' is available for purchase in the [PXL] mainstore.

The Glamorous Life

The -Glam Affair- Team (aida Ewing, M4ri1yn Magic and Amberly Boccaccio) never seems to stop producing amazing creations. Not only do they create some of the best skins on the grid, but they also have been releasing stunning accessories, clothes and mesh make-ups. For the current cycle of Collabor88, aida Ewing created an beautiful edition of her 'Renee' skin, called 'Trending'. I love the subtle tones and luminous complexion. I also hope aida releases a whole line of this skin as well. M4ri1yn Magic designed a simple, yet very sexy mesh dress, called 'Livia'. I love the high collar that cuts diagonally across the torso, leaving the dress backless with just enough skin to leave some to the imagination. Amberly Boccaccio has been creating so many lovely mesh accessories lately. Her stunning headpieces are prime example of such work. For Collabor88, she constructed the delicate 'Hanami Headpiece'. I just adore the the delicate mesh cherry blossoms that fall across my head. The January cycle of FaMESHed is sadly coming to an end. As always, there are so many AMAZING original mesh creations to be found there. The fact that FaMESHed showcases all original (ie, no templates) mesh content, is one the main reasons that I really love this event. I think it is very important to focus on all of these talented designers, who have worked so hard to bring us some of best mesh creations in SL.
Hmmm, so where do I start? E! Eclectic Apparel! E! has come such a LONG way in the ranks of SL fashion. Their design team makes beautifully rendered mesh and pays a lot of attention to detail.  Each collection gets better and better with every release. In the following pictures, I am wearing their awesome 'Xanna' pants. They are perfect for any casual (but still chic) look. They also created a 'Libby' top to go with these pants. I was going to wear it for this post, but in the middle of a styling crisis, I found something I else I wanted to wear the top with. I really love mixing matching. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and was not able to take pics of it of yet. However, the 'Libby' top will be available in E! Mainstore, after FaMESHed ends. So, stay tuned for an upcoming post with that top. It is seriously cute!
NyuNyu Kimono of Nyu, is also another FaMESHed regular. I have come to love her sleek lines and minimalist approach to designing. Her clothes are always perfect for a more sophisticated look. Her 'Button Back Shirt', is a prime example of her gorgeous creations. I paired her dress with the super sexy new 'Spiked' pumps from FANATIK, which can also be found out at FaMESHed. They come in a TON of different colors and you can choose from silver or gold spikes (via a texture change HUD).

Three Years Down!

I would like to wish everyone a VERY happy and healthy New Year! Not only is it a new year, but I am now officially three years old in SL years. Yes, it was rez day. I really never thought I would still be here, especially blogging. When I started this blog, it was purely a justification for my new found SL shopping addiction. It is bad enough I shop too much in RL, but SL just made it that much worse! LOL! Basically, I thought I would posts a few looks every now and then for my own personal 'Look Book', but never in my wildest dreams did I think anything would come it! If I seriously thought anyone would actually read or look at my blog, I would have given it a different name. To be honest, I still do not know if anything has come of it or if anyone really reads it. LOL! Well, that is not entirely true. I have met so many amazing people via my career as an SL blogger. I would have never met my closest SL friends, if it were not for this blog. Anyway, I am not sure where I am going with all of this, but I just want to thank all of my closest friends (you know who you are) for putting up with me for all this time. I would not still be here, if it were not for all of you. Now, I will shut-up, so you can check-out my look for the New Year!
