ISON for June C88

I have couple more quickie post for June's Collabor88 before it comes to end. There were so many amazing creations, as always. Harry Hyx of ISON, always creates the most incredible designs, especially for each cycle of Collabor88. June was no exception, I am absolutely in LOVE with this gorgeous relaxed Ruffle Bottom Button Up shirt!

This fabulous Button Up shirt can be worn so many ways! It can be worn by itself, while lounging around the house or pool, or with soft cotton pants for a chic casual weekend look. Regardless of how you choose to wear it, it is wardrobe MUST HAVE! So are Harry's Avery Strap Boots,which are sexy studded and ankle high. I love the soft suede texture that is perfectly complimented by large metal buckles! So make sure you run over to June's  Collabor88 before it ends! 

 I finally started catching-up a bit with stuff and was able to finally blog a few amazing new items from the fairly new brand, Plethora. Plethora brings to the grid some of he most original, quirky and brilliant items that you can find! From creations that you have been dying to see inworld to stuff you never even thought you would need (but now must have), Plethora has it! They are participating in Rhapsody right now and created these awesome CD Player Headphones, which I am wearing on my head. They weren't actually designed to be worn on my head, but the items were so easy to modify that I could make it work! I also have this beautifully rendered CD Player, which is also from Plethora, that lets you eject, play, stop, etc... by simply pushing the button. You know, just like how a real CD player would work! LOL! Sometimes I wonder if I make sense. You can also link the headphones that I am wearing on my head into the CD player that is shown on the sofa. There are also speakers you can buy, which allow the same linking and unlinking of parts. Pretty neat, huh! Just a suggestion, make sure you make a copy before modifying any items. Both items come in a ton of fabulous colors and make the perfect accessories, home decor pieces or photo props. So, please make sure you check them out at Rhapsody ASAP!

I'm still rushing to catch-up with all of April's events and am obviously cutting it real close! It is the last day of April, so please make sure you run and check-out the following events exclusives (if you haven't already) before the venues close this evening.
The first of May is almost here and Spring is well underway. I am in love with all the pretty pastel tones and dreamy prints that are flooding the stores this season. Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, one of favorite creators, has followed suit with a ton of gorgeous new items for all the different events.

I particularly adore this gorgeous Ory shirt and skirt combination piece, which was an April FaMESHed exclusive. Unfortunately, I am just now realizing that I made the mistake of putting this month's FaMESHed exclusives in my inventory's Seasons Story folderrrrrr. OMG! Oops! A huge oops! I had planned to post this dress for Seasons Story, which is ending tonight a 12am SLT. However, it was created for April's FaMESHed, which is now over (grrr)... I do apologize for this massive mistake. Thankfully, you will be able to purchase it in Baiastice Mainstore now! The pretty pink Metallic Letters Clutch that I am holding, IS part of Baiastice's Seasons Story exclusive. At least I got that right!

This stunning skin is indeed a Seasons Story exclusive from aida Ewing of -Glam Affair-. It is part of her latest Brandi skin line, which comes in a choice of 5 lovely make-ups in 2 skin tones (Europa & Frost). Each make-up comes with 12 brow colors (including 3 new pastel colors and a no brow option) that are embedded into skin. You can also purchase an additional pack of 14 vibrant lipsticks, making the wear options virtually endless. 

The hair, which is yet another another Seasons Story creation, is from the talented Kavar Cleanslate of Exile. It is called San Francisco, and it comes with flowers (color change too) in it's hair! However, I decided to wear this amazing Spring Crown from Anemysk Karu of ANE. These gorgeous rose Strappy Heels are also from ANE. You can find both the Spring Crown and the Strappy Heels in ton of brilliant colors at this months Collabor88.

The mistake I made with the first dress, I also made with this super cute Ruffle Collar Blouse & High Waist from Nyu Nyu Kimono of NYU. This was a April FaMESHed exclusive, but you can find it in the Nyu Maisntore now. I simply love Nyu Nyu's minimal yet very feminine creations, which are expressed so perfectly in this Spring ensemble.

This beautiful Daenerys skin is from nina Helix of Birdy and (you guessed it) is a Seasons Story exclusive. This dewy skin is definitely one of my favorite Birdy skins to date. It is sold as simple make-up free skin that comes with nice variety of brow colors that are embedded into it. It also comes with a brow free option and has several cleavage choices (including a smaller size sans nipple) that can be changed via tattoo layer. I dipped into my huge collection of various make-up tattoos, since I wanted a pinker tint to the lips and eyes (as well as liner) for this look. However, the skin is perfect without make-up! Do yourself a favor and demo this skin ASAP!

This one-sided braid, is one of TRUTH's latest and greatest releases, called  Elyse. There are a ton of amazing new hair styles at the TRUTH  HAIR Mainstor right now! Yay!

Pose Fair 2014 is still going on! If you like to take pictures in SL then you really need to go and see all the incredible poses and props featured there. The awesome pose that I used for the first picture of this post, as well the bird prop (in pics 1,2 and 4), is a Pose Fair gacha exclusive from Olivia Lalonde of Le Poppycock. This collection consists of 12 different poses (including 2 rares) that you can use alone or with the blue bird (which has the pose scripted into) that comes with it. These poses are perfect for Spring, so try your luck and collect each pose (the doubles always make for a great gift)!

Speaking of Pose Fair creators Nati Willaims of Imeka Poses crated the charming pink Flowery Mini Bag, as well as the poses used in pics 3 and 4. The poses are part of her Charmy and Miwa pose collections at Pose Fair 2014. 

Poses for a blogger are just important as clothes. They give our images energy and expression, which is not an always such an easy thing to do. This is why I find it very important to credit and support these talented creators!

Rebirth and ISON Collabor88 Exclusives!

If you had read my previous post, then you know I had been away for the last week. My Grandmother, who I was very close to, had unexpectedly passed away. These last months in general had been fairly rough for me, which was mainly due to health issues and other RL stuff. However, after having lost such an important part of my life, it all seems quite trivial in contrast. It feels as if a huge part of myself has died. I had spent most of the last week running around non-stop and spending time with family down at my Grandmother's house in Florida. The extra family support helped soften the blow and gave me some much needed comfort. Unfortunately, now I am back home and faced with the reality of it all. This has to be one of the toughest things I have ever had to deal with. I just have been pushing myself to go through the motions of being human, trying to keep my brain occupied. For the most part, I find myself in constant state of reflection that triggers thoughts of things I need to change about myself. Hopefully, this will result in some sort of positive transformation....

Now that I said all of that, I will change the subject. 

In much happier news, the April cycle of Collabor88 has been well underway, bringing us a palette of watercolor inspired pastels mixed with romantic and flirty Spring creations. One of my favorite ensembles from this round, has to be from the seriously talented Harry Hyx of ISON. He created this lovely delicate Silk Camisole, as well as this perfectly pleated Midi Skirt. Both of these gorgeous separates are beautifully rendered and are available in ton of pastel and neutral colors. The Silk Camisole comes with 2 style options - regular neckline and a low cut version. Terminal Frost!

 I apologize for this post being so late, but I've been having problems with my cable over the last week. Plus, blogspot seems to be failing me lately and not saving posts. I think it is time to switch over wordpress.

Anyway, it had been a long time since I had done a dual post with anyone. My RL has been really crazy due to health issues and family drama; not to mention the holidays. As a result, my SL time is more limited than usual and I tend log in at odd hours. So, last week, I was speaking with Ms.Kaelyn Alecto about all the amazing items the designers had created for December's Collabor88 and The Arcade. We decided to get together and feature one of our all time favorite designers, who is AKA the talented Maylee Oh of The Secret Store. Maylee, as always, created the most incredible items for both events. She made these awesome ice skates for The Arcade. Just so you know, men can wear these skates too! For Collabor88, she created these beautiful Sarah Dress Coats, which Kae and I wearing, and they matched perfectly with her skates. 

Obviously, Kae and I decided to take the pictures for this post at her super photogenic SIM, It All Starts With A Smile. By the way, if you have not been there yet, you really need to check it out ASAP. It is the perfect setting for winter photos. Kae's partner Maxx was here, so we decided to take advantage of him and use him as a prop. 

He also came in handy after Kae fell on the ice. When we finally stopped laughing at her, we had to carry her all the way home. Who knew mesh was so heavy?

Btw, the skin we are wearing is the latest release from aida Ewing of Glam Affair, which is called "Kaelyn" (Hmm... I wonder who that skin was named after?). This skin is absolutely stunning! I love all of aida's skins, but this one extra special. 

 Kaelyn (the skin, not the avi) comes in 12 gorgeous make-ups (plus one bare skin - no make-up) and 6 lovely skin tones. Nyu for AVENUE Fashion Week Fall/ Winter 2013 - Part 1

AVENUE Fashion Week is in full swing! SL's best designers across the grid are showing off their Fall/Winter lines on the virtual runways. This year, the super talented NyuNyu Kimono of Nyu is participating in AVENUE Fashion Week. Her looks focus around sleek A line jackets, tailored shorts and shirts, double breasted jackets and collared dresses with clean lines. Her whole collection is absolutely lovely! For this post I will show you two of the looks that you can find at AVENUE's Fashion Week.
The first is beautiful white Slip-on Coat with matching Shorts and Open Front Shirt. Who says that white is not to be worn after Labor Day?

The Second look is a black Double Collared Coat that has a white top built into it...

Both of these looks are put together perfectly and also represent the minimalist style that Nyu is so famous for. There are more gorgeous looks too come, so please stay tuned!
