Hmmm! So much going on! First of all, I am so happy to say that for the first time EVER, I was able to see the MAYFAIR SIM fully rezzed! If you read my blog, you probably have heard me whine quite a bit about my mesh issues and overall connection problems.  Mesh would rarely want to rez, especially a whole mesh sim with detailed baked textures. If I needed to purchase something from Celoe or Mon Tissu, which was not on MP, I had to blindly click around for the vendor I needed. I was only able to do that after about 5 relogs too. Finally, about a month ago, I found out what was wrong with my connection. I needed a better router. And, let me just say, SL has been a whole different experience and much more fun to say the least. So the MAYFAIR SIM was my final test to see if my issue was truly resolved. I have to admit, I put it off for quite some time since I was scared I would still see nothing. But yesterday I decided to go there and it rezzed right away! Yay! I decided to take the pics for my post there too.
I also have some good news for -Belleza- skin lovers. The team over at -Belleza- created a new monthly event at their store, called 'Best Buys'. On the first Friday of every month, they will release exclusive skins for just $400L and it will last for 3 days only. For this first round, they released 'Ava' in 3 gorgeous make-ups! They also released 2 special versions of their male skins as well. The 'Ava' skins are available in 4 different skin tones (pale, sunkissed, tan and medium). The -Belleza- appliers for Lush and Lolas are compatible with these tones. You can also get the 'Ava' lips pack (in your favorite skin tone), to give your skin more wear options.
Oh! I really was so excited and flattered to find out that blogger extraordinaire, Nadja Baxter (of German Style), chose me as her blogger "pick"for Style Academy Feed's 'Faculty Picks'! I have always looked-up to Nadja for her fabulous style, stunning images and longevity as a blogger. It was truly an honor to be chosen by a blogger with such prestige and talent. To be honest, I really did not even think she knew I existed. LOL. I am always surprised to find out that anyone knows who I am, especially since there are thousands of SL fashion blogs. Nadja chose Mimikri Kit as her 'Designer Pick", which I was thrilled about. Both Nadja and Mimi are SL originals, who helped to shape the SL fashion world and make it what it is today. Wow! I am on a ROLL! Two posts in two days! I am going to try for three, but I will not promise anything. It always seems when things are finally going smoothly, a huge bump in the road in the road appears and throws me way off course. For this post, I wore a color I never thought I would ever wear - PINK! Except for lingerie and sleepwear, I never wear pink. Not even  in SL. However, the uber talented Nevery Lorakeet (of *LpD*) just released this gorgeous mesh *LIV* coat. It comes in many wonderful color combinations, including black (my favorite color...errr shade), but the I really loved the pink. Nevery is always designing such amazing original creations. Leather and Lace

I just found some info the hard way. Do NOT install 'Skydrive', if you plan on taking pictures in SL or want to crash every 5 minutes. LOL! I had installed 'Skydrive' late Thursday night. I probably was not thinking too clearly from all the Thanksgiving food and wine. I did have this gut feeling that it could interfere with my viewer, but it started-up ok. So, I did not pay any attention to it. After a terrible couple of days dealing with my inventory not loading at all and crashing all the time, I finally was ready to take a picture. It crashed before I could hit the save button. I was really tired, so I went bed and figured it was just another crash. The next day, I struggled all day to rez my avatar. Once again, I got everything in order and was ready to snap away. But I  couldn't. No matter what setting or viewer I used, I crashed as soon as tried to press save. I started to freak, thinking something was majorly wrong with my computer. I decided to check the JIRA's to see if maybe there were some kindof bug or issue with SL over the Holiday weekend. And, sure enough, it said that 'Skydrive' would cause this type of behavior from a viewer. So, I quickly un-installed it and prayed that this was the problem. It was!  Whew! If my pictures suck, it is because I rushed to take them.

Winter In The Sun

Hart Larsson of PXL Skins has created yet another amazing new skin! This new skin is called, 'Sophia'. This is most definitely my favorite PXL skin to date! All of Hart's skins are lovely, but something about Sophia's lips, make this skin perfect for me. But, before you go running to try on some demos, I must remind you that 'Sophia' is not yet available in the store and this is a  just tiny teaser. However, 'Sophia' will be making her debut with a mini release at the 'Around The World' event, which starts on the 15th of November! This is definitely one release, you do not want to miss!
Oh! Speaking of awesome new releases, Ikon Innovia just released a stunning new line of eyes! They are called 'Eternal Eyes'. As you probably know, all I wear are Ikon's eyes. So, I am always excited when he releases new ones. I think these are his best yet! Ikon's eyes always look so realistic and brilliant. In The Flesh

Fleshtone  has created some amazing pieces for the Fall season. From beautiful fur trimmed shrugs to slinky little dresses, the Fleshtone Team always delivers classic, sexy and very feminine creations that I simply adore. For this post, I decided to feature two designs from Gisele Mubble of Fleshtone . I chose this fabulous 'Birdie Fur Trimmed Shrug' and this uber chic 'Hyuna Leather Skirt'. Both items are mesh and come in several different sizes for the perfect fit! You really must do yourself a favor and check-out all of the fabulous clothes and accessories at Fleshtone .
I also wanted to give a quick heads-up regarding the skin I am wearing. It is the November group gift from Filthy Skins and it is stunning! If you are not already a Filthy group member, I highly suggest paying the small fee to join. Each month, Alexandra Barcelos always releases a lovely skin gift, which makes being part of this group well worth it. I also recommend taking a trip down to store just to try on some skin demos. Elegant Steps

Vintage Fair 2012 is at it's peak! I am actually a bit overwhelmed by all the amazing creations that are influenced by so many different eras. One of my favorite finds, is definitely the 'Elegant Steps' dress from Giz Seorn of GizzA . For the fair, she created this 40's inspired dress in black, which goes perfectly with the 'Vintage Tuxedo' that she created for men. Yes, there are also many fabulous finds here for males as well. This is one event that definitely does not just cater towards women. So, I encourage all fashion forward men to get their cute pixelated butts over to Vintage Fair now! Girls, please drag your stubborn boyfriends with you when you go, so you make them get some gorgeous new clothes. Unfortunately, I know way too many men, who love to stick to just one or two outfits. This has definitely got to stop! LOL! I also must mention that GizzA is one of the very generous sponsors of Vintage Fair, who helped make this awesome event possible.
Speaking of sponsors, oOo Studios is another creator who helped make this event possible. Olaenka Chesnokov's poses are some of the best on the grid. In fact, I would definitely say the she is one of my top three favorite pose creators. For Vintage Fair, Olaenka created some really fantastic singles and couples poses. I must apologize for my lack of posts, since I have been realy under-the-weather for the last couple of weeks. I am trying to get well, so I can finally catch-up. Anyway, on a brighter note,  I have to say that the June session of Collabor88, called 'Shindig', has some amazing guests designers and a seriously amazing theme. Toki-Doki Summer!

 Maya Levane, of Toki-Doki, has been releasing so many wonderful creations for Summer. So, I figured that I would devote a whole a post her and a couple of these amazing pieces. Everything Maya creates is so lovely and impossible to resist. Her talent seems endless and this is just one of the many reasons why I love her work. For this post, I decided to wear her lovely 'inurita' dress. I chose to pair it with her latest 'summer nights cardigan'. Now, I love cardigans! Especially since I love to layer. And this particular cardi comes is so many stunning pastels and neutrals colors. It is mesh too!  I think this will definitely be my new 'goto' cardigan. Now the 'inurita' dress is not mesh, but does it have to be? I love that Maya can create amazing mesh and non-mesh clothing and also have an eye for knowing just what medium a certain item will look best in. So, let me stop rambling... It All Fades to Gray

I have a bunch of fabulous new releases to show you. One of them was supposed to be over a week ago, since it was a 'limited couture' exclusive, but it never published on my blog (I stupidly put in the wrong date).  I am so sorry if it is gone and I can't believe I made such a terrible error. Anyway, I have a bunch of new creations from the fabulous aida Ewing of -Glam Affair- and ~Tableau Vivant~. The first is  a 'Wear Gray For Day' event exclusive and the other is the first in series of 'themed props' and skins.
The 'Wear Gray' exclusive, is a stunning desaturated (i.e. gray) skin tone that comes with a bunch of brilliantly colored eye tattoos. Plus, the proceeds go to great cause to help raise funds towards various Brain Cancer Research foundations. The next beautiful skin is part of the previously stated 'theme' collaboration by -Glam Affair- and ~Tableau Vivant~, called 'Demoness of Lava'. This was for 'Limited Couture', so it may be gone. I am so sorry if it is. The captivating black skin with a flaming mesh pant layer, blends seamlessly with the lava filled set. This is truly a brilliant idea and creation. Perfect for artists and photographers. I was lucky to have my good friend and uber talented artist, LouLou Teichmann, do this photo with me. In The Flesh...

I hate being so behind, because my pics always looks like crap. I always get a brain blockage when I am pressed for time and nothing seems to work. I also feel bad, because a good a friend of mine happily volunteered her services to find the perfect place to take my pictures. I agreed in a very grumpy manner, not because of her, but because I just was feeling down and lacking confidence. She did find the cutest location, but because of possible post processing issues, I chose another space in this wonderful SIM. And, even if I didn't show it at the time, I sincerely appreciate all her help and positive energy.
Anyway, speaking of late and seriously behind, this post is wayyyyyyyy overdue. It is from Fleshtone's latest big release, which is AMAZING! It also includes new hair from Truth Hawks. And more of the fabulous new skin release, called 'Kae', from Lara Hurley.

La Legere

 Aeon Perian, even though I only become acquainted with his designs fairly recently, is one of favorite SL designers. His imagination has no limits! He can go from avant garde to subdued 'city chic', while still maintaining his amazing sense of style and eye for detail. Aeon's use of patterns and textures has truly impressed me. He can make two opposing forces, look like they were made for one another. This aspect of his work, is very apparent in his latest mesh dress, called 'La Legere'. This dress is STUNNING and a definite Spring MUST have! I highly suggest you go down and see all the brilliant patterns and colors in comes in for yourself. However, it is rigged mesh, so make sure you try a demo first. Just in case you do not know, rigged mesh can not be modified. However, I have not really had an issue with mesh not fitting, since it always comes in a few different sizes. Here is your limo to ~plank couture~:

I also must mention that Lara Hurley just released another fabulous new skin, called 'Kae'. Like all her skins, 'Kae' is comes in soft make-ups and luminous skin tones. Plus, Lara gives you a ton of extra lip and eye make-ups for unlimited looks. I have yet to wear a skin from Lara that doesn't make my avatar look more than amazing. Plus, they fit just about any shape. I find this especially true with 'Kae'. So, tp your butt on over to Lara Hurley Skins and try on a demo now! Here is your limo:
