I Wake-Up In The Morning To The Beat Of A Drum...

The Summer Solstice has arrived and Summer is now officially here. Because of all this, I have not been around much this week. I was really only able to log in temporarily to check NCs and messages. So, suffice it to say, I have A LOT of catching-up to do! Not to mention more events to blog too! It is really hot and I am super tired, so I will try to keep it brief. However, I am so in love with all of these new releases that are in this post! First off, I know you have seen these new creations from Azure Electricteeth of Tee*fy all over the feeds! They are Arcade Gacha Event exclusives and have an amazing native/bohemian feel to them. In this post, I am wearing her 'Aurelia Summer High-Low Dress', 'Feather Crown Headband' and 'Leather-Made Goat Head  Backpack'. These are all items that can be won in many colors and styles via The Arcade gacha machines. This is one machine worth playing! Azure's creations are always brilliant!

I have been dying for Jin Elfan of Leverocci to release more hair. She said she was not planning on doing so, but she ended up releasing this absolutely stunning new style called 'DIVA'. The name definitely suits the hair. It is long, super straight and gorgeous. It is all rigged mesh and I am positive that she baked the hair textures, since they are unbelievably realistic and perfect! 'DIVA' comes in every color imaginable and is also available on Marketplace. So DEMO it NOW!

aida Ewing just released a beautiful new skin, called "Summer". It is a Summerfest '13 exclusive and comes in several lovely make-ups and in 2 skins tones - America and Jamaica. I sincerely hope aida releases a whole a line of this skin, since it is simply divine. I strongly urge you to check-out Summerfest '13 now and try on some demos ASAP. 

Oh! I almost forgot! Ikon Innovia just releases more awesome eyes! They are called 'Ascension Eyes' and are basically a continuation of his 'Destiny Eyes', which were available at the 'The Boutique'.I am in love with  these eyes and he created 15 new colors to add to the collection. So, make sure you go to the IKON ainstore and try some on!

Autumn Blues

Things have been a a bit nuts lately with my health, family, and not to mention all the SL technical issues, so please bear with me. I am trying really hard to get back to a normal posting schedule. Thankfully, I have a lot great friends and I don't know what I would do without them. So with that said, let me talk about this post. Maylee Oh of The Secret Store has been creating again. I am totally in love with her new mesh 'Oversized Sweater'! This is the perfect Fall wardrobe staple and can be worn in so many ways. I chose to pair it with my favorite 'LouLou' jeans from 'Mon Tissu'. I also had these awesome new mesh 'Siberia Boots' from  Leverocci, which are pure love. Mon Tissu Blogger Contest Entry!

Even though it is almost officially Autumn, it is still fairly warm in New York. Although I welcome the crisp air and beautiful colors that come with Fall, I still feel like holding on to Summertime a little bit longer. With this in mind, I wanted to recreate a scene on a sailboat in a place similar Montauk Point, New York (as best as SL could possibly let me). As I worked on this post, I could imagine the sunlight warming my skin, the smell of salty ocean air and the cool winds that would brush against me. And, since fashion is my passion, I could not help but think of what I would wear. The attire for such a post, requires the cool and casual chic of Mon Tissu. As I am sure you are all well aware, Mon Tissu creates the most amazing clothes on the grid. Their use of extraordinary textures, well rendered mesh and beautifully crafted prims, is undeniable and always leaves me awe struck.For my outfit, I chose their comfy striped 'Slouchy Sweatshirt' that I am totally in love with right now. I adore the hint of skin it reveals as it gently falls off the one shoulder. I paired this gorgeous top with my favorite 'goto' jeans, which are their 'Nora' jeans. They are the quintessential skinny jeans and hug your body in all the right places. To add a finishing touch, I decided to wear Mon Tissu's stunning 'Openwork Wedges'. These shoes are can be worn so many ways and compliment almost any casual look.
For me, this is a style that I would definitely wear in RL and especially for a relaxing day on a sailboat. I hope you like...

FAIL!

Grrrr...  I was not going to do this post for the end of the July cycle of Collabor88 , because I had found out that it was over earlier than I had planned. Actually, I had wanted to do this post on a couple days ago, but it took me until late last night to finish, because I am having serious issues with SL. I don't know if it is SL, my connection or possibly something wrong with my new gaming laptop. This is basically what has been going on:

- I constantly crash (people of my friends list must love this)
- Mesh takes for ever to rez (if it does rez)
- I almost always have to clear my cache before I log or I will not be able to log in.
- I crash when I teleport anywhere. I have to log in directly to each SIM I want to access
- My notecards are not saving and uploading.  So, unless I double check it, I run the risk of sending out a blank one.
- I am usually a ball of mist until most of my inventory loads. Plus, my inventory takes forever to start loading. It stays at approximately 800 items for what seems like an eternity. The fact that I have an insanely large inventory does not help matters either

I hate to complain on my blog, but this has been making it almost impossible to get anything done! Let alone take pics and post them. I am soooo FRUSTRATED! I am submitting a ticket to LL, but since I use a TPV (Firestorm), I don't think they will help me.
Now that I went off on tangent, I forgot what I was originally going to say. Oh yes, I decided to post creations from the July cycle of Collabor88, even though I had found out the doors had closed by the time I posted my pics on Flickr. But, I had spent two days on these pics, so I am going to post. These images should look like I spent two days on them, but they do not. They are awful due to all the trouble. I know a lot of these items are event exclusives, but most can be found in the designer's mainstore soon. You just may not be able to get them in colors that were made specifically for July's 'BLEACHED' theme or the great price.
Even though the July cycle is closed, the August cycle is opening tomorrow, which is the 8th. And, in case you did know, it is also Collabor88's one year anniversary! I can't believe it has already been year that I have been blogging this fabulous event! I am so honored to be a part of such an amazing team of incredible content creators and talented bloggers. I often wonder if they made a mistake, when I was asked to blog for this event. LOL! I just wanted to give a special thanks to Drinkinstein Sorbet and her awesome team - Jezibell Thorne, Sophia Harlow and octagons Yazimoto (forgive me, if I missed anyone). Thank you for making such a wonderful event possible and may there be many more years of beautiful and innovative creations!

Sunlight, opened up my eyes to see for the first time

I guess I would call this post a typical 'LOTD' featuring one fabulous and also lastest releases from Jin Elfan of Leverocci .This release, is aka her 'Soft Satin Blouse'. It is absolutely gorgeous and perfect rendered. Jin really is a genius when to comes to mesh!
I also decided to wear the new 'Lily V2' skin, fromTricky Boucher of -Belleza-. I have been long awaiting another new release from this skin maestro. And let me just say, it was definitely worth the wait! So, be sure to checkout some demos. I am wearing the group gift in this post.
Ikon Innovia just released a new version (v2) of is hugely popular 'Horizon' eyes, called 'Barely There'! They are so lovely and so realistic. In my opinion, Ikon creates the best eyes on the grid. Since the first day I tried them on about a year ago, I have been loyal convert. So, do yourself a huge favor and stop in and try on a demo.

I decided to take a quick detour from all the Vintage Fair collections, in order to show off some new creations from a fairly new designer. This talented content creator is Echo Requiem of Echo. I was really impressed by her beautiful hand drawn textures and carefully rendered prims. Her designs are classic staples that no woman in SL should be without. Plus, all her designs are 100L or less! You can not beat that! I really can not wait to see what Echo will be coming out with in the future. She is definitely one to watch. A Quick Fall LOTD feat. The Dressing Room

I am going to make this post really quick, becuase I have a terrible cold. I based this 'Look of  The Day' on my latest finds from The Dressing Room and The Dressing Room Blue.
