[PXL] Skins and LaGyo Jewelry For The Holiday Season!

I know that I had mentioned in a previous post (HERE) that Hart Larsson of PXL Creations is currently participating in MIAMAI's Black Label Series of Fashion Events. He created a very special, as well as limited edition, of PXL's long awaited upcoming new skin line! The new skin line is called, MIA! This limited edition MIA skin is available in three STUNNING make-ups, which reflect the color palate used in MIAMAI's amazing Black Label Fashion Event, and comes in choice of three lovely skin tones (PALE, NATURAL and SUNKISSED).

This is definitely my favorite PXL skin to date and I am seriously excited about this release (not to mention the upcoming full release). Instead of doing a normal skin review for this skin, I decided to make a portrait for each of the three make-ups. This portrait series, which includes my other favorite skin designers as well, also gives me a chance to show-off some of the wonderful jewelry released this month. All of the incredible creations that were seen during the show on December 7th for MIAMAI's Black Label Series of Fashion Events, will be on display and available for sale at the MIAMAI Mainstore. Monica Outlander, who organized this event and brought it to life, did an AMAZING job and is such a brilliant artist! You can pick-up the MIA BLACK LABEL EDITION skin at both the MIAMAI and PXL Mainstores.
I mentioned that this portrait series also featured some of the most beautiful jewelry released this Holiday Season - Well, it is rather obvious in above the picture, don't you think? The necklace and earrings were created by the uber talented Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. They are both part of her awe inspiring 'Matilda Collection', which can be found at Collabor88 this month. I am truly amazed by all the hard work and intricate mesh details that make-up both the necklace and earrings. They are literally works of art! The necklace and earrings are available in 7 beautiful color combinations, which reflect Collabor88's December color palate. I highly suggest grabbing them all! I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now

I'm drawing a blank today and can't think of much to say, which is a rare thing. I guess this post was inspired by Autumn in NY. I was just up in Woodstock visiting friends and family and I had forgotten just how beautiful the Catskills Mountain are in the Fall. The trees have all turned color and it is really an amazing site to see.
I had this gorgeous high-neck sweater and leather pencil skirt from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice that I had been meaning to blog. She created these beautiful Anne separates for October's FaMESHed. They come in a ton of wonderful autumn tones, so I highly suggest you run over to FaMESHed and demo them before the cycle ends in a day or two.

 N-core is also participating in the October's FaMESHed. For this round, Claire Messenger created a pair of seriously sexy MAMBO stilettos. They are to die for, so please make sure you demo these too.

I was recently sent some gorgeous mesh jewelry from new-to me designer Dieguinhooo Resident of [AMNESIA]. I was really impressed with this designer's creations, which are made up of bold and beautifully made statement pieces. For this post, I am wearing their BODYSPIT mesh necklace in gold. It's My Nature

Harry Hyx of  ISON, just released a gorgeous new mini collection of Spring/Summer mesh separates. It it made up of smart button down collared shirts that are tucked-in; sleek pencil skirts with a sexy side slit; chic bomber vests and jackets; over-sized leather boho bags; and even a beautiful dagger necklace. Harry's mesh is always perfectly rendered with the amazing textures. I am always in awe of  he places his wrinkles too.I know this may sound like an odd thing to be amazed by, but proper placement of such details gives the content much more realism.

For this post, I chose to wear Harry's 'Tucked-In Shirt' in a light neutral tone. The shirt comes with a HUD that gives 3 tone variations for each color you choose to wear. There is dark, medium and light tone. I simply adore all these options, since it makes a styling a breeze. I paired the shirt with his rich leather 'Bomber Vest' in taupe and added a pair of the lovely 'Tulip Shorts' from {mon tissu}.



To accessorize my look, I decided to keep things simple. I added  ISON's new 'Dagger Necklace', which comes in 3 different metals and 3 different lengths. I also decided to wear his wonderful new 'Boho Bag'. I am a huge fan of well made over-sized totes in RL and SL, so this bag is just perfect! I had this uber cute 'Owl Bracelet' from erratic, which I kept forgetting to wear and finally remembered. LOL. I can't emphasize enough just how much I love the clean lines and modern (but still very feminine) look too all of Harry Hyx's designs. You simply must TP over to ISON , so you can check-out Harry's new collection and try on some demos!
IKON (aka Ikon Innovia) just released a new line of stunning eyes, called 'Vanity Eyes'. If you know me, then you know that I love all of IKON's eyes. I am not usually loyal to just one brand for anything, but IKON pretty much has me hooked on his eyes. The 'Vanity Eyes' come in a ton of brilliant colors. However, if you normally wear IKON eyes, you may want to go a size up with the 'Vanity Eyes'. The pupils and iris are a bit smaller than in his previous versions. So, this is just something you may want to keep in mind. Please do your yourself a favor and try on some demos!
Oh! I almost forgot! Thora Charron of LeLutka, just released new hair styles. I am wearing her new 'Scarlet' style for this post. The short angular cut is just perfect for the warmer weather! So, with that said, here are your LMs:

MOLiCHiNO for AVENUE Spring/Summer Fashion Week Part 1

Aurelia Chauveau of  MOLiCHiNO s definitely on my list of  'SL's Top 10' designers. She has managed to consistently win me over with her perfectly rendered mesh and sleek designs. So, suffice it to say, I was ecstatic to find out that she was participating in 'AVENUE's Spring/Summer Fashion Week 2013'. For this post, I chose her gorgeous 'lemur gown'. It reminds me a lot of Valentino and you can not help but feel amazing when wearing it. I definitely recommend trying on demo and visiting this awesome event!
I am also wearing a brand new skin from PXL Creations, called "Jade". Unfortunately, since it is an April Collabor88 exclusive, it will not be available until to April 8th. I thought Sophia was my favorite PXL skin, but Jade has truly won me over. I love the youthful face that is reminiscent of Sophia and the perfect lips. The lips have a similar feel to GAIA, which I adore, but Hart created a whole new texture and shape for them. The body, as always, is perfectly rendered. Jade will be available in 4 different make-ups in the NAT(ural) skin tone. I am sure there will be more tones and make-ups to come, when Collabor88 is over (*hint hint*). The March cycle of Collabor88 is officially open! When I think of the theme and color palate of this round, it reminds me of Spring gardens and tea parties! It is full of lovely pastels, floral and other romantic themes. One of my favorite creations from this cycle, which is also a rose inspired all mesh collection, is from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. I am not just saying this because I work for her. LOL! Gyo truly captured the essence and mood of this cycle with her 'Isabella' collection. 'Isabella' is made-up of stunning headpieces  beautiful necklaces, delicate earrings and rings. There is also a very special dress, which is a collaboration between LaGyo and GizzA! It is all absolutely gorgeous! Plus, for this post, I got together with the extremely talented Loulou Teichmann  She created this amazing set that we are all posing on and in front of. Boob Envy!

Hell must have finally froze over, because I actually got a pair of mesh breasts! I had always been happy with my small default breasts and saw no need for a pair of huge mesh ones. I don't know if it was all the boob blog coverage or all the appliers being made by various designers, but the hype finally got to me and I needed a pair. Once I decided to take plunge (no pun intended), I had to decide what kind of mesh boobs to get. I know there are many different makes of these attachments, but the two mainstream brands are Lush and Lolas (as far as I know). I was tempted to get the Lolas, but there was not a demo available and I heard that you can not make them too small without corrupting the overall shape. Not to mention, they are not cheap and I really did not want to invest in something that I wasn't sure I would wear. The Lush, however, do have a demo and are about 700L cheaper. Just so you know, cost is not an issue when it comes it quality. The fact that you could make the Lush significantly smaller and also had a demo to play around with, had sold me. I really feel the Lush mesh breasts are made for those of us who like smaller breasts. If you prefer bigger breasts, then the Lolas are probably just what you need.
I have to mention a few things for you to keep in mind before purchasing mesh breasts. First off, due to an SL mesh bug, you will most likely see some seams from where the mesh breasts attach to your default pair. Unfortunately, unlike other mesh bodily attachments, you can not put on an alpha layer around your default breasts to hide them. Also, the smaller you make your breasts, the harder it is for the mesh to blend in with your avatar. I am sure that when a mesh deformer becomes available, this issue will be solved. So, until then, I recommend using a neutral WL, such as CalWL. If you turn-off basic shaders, you won't see any seams at all, but you will be stuck SL's basic windlight. If you are a photographer like me, you can play around with different windlights and shadow settings, until the seams disappear. FYI: The seam issue is NOT the fault of the designers who created the appliers or the mesh breasts!
Secondly, when fitting my Lush breasts, I noticed that certain shape adjustments improved the overall look and fit of the breasts. Depending on your shape, I would make your overall 'Breast Size' between 10-20 points on the slider (I set mine at 10). I would set the 'Breast Buoyancy' around 35-45 points (I set mine at 39). And, I found a setting of 0-10 points to be perfect for the 'Breast Cleavage'(I set mine at 5).
Now that you have your breasts all in place, you will want to add the skin and/or nipple 'applier' that is made for the skin you are wearing. As of right now, the only skin creators, who I know of that make appliers for Lush, are -Belleza- and [PXL Creations]. I am praying that -Glam Affair- comes out with one for Lush too! I guess until then, I will have to match their color myself. Both appliers are made beautifully and match their skins perfectly (as you will see in the pictures). Not only do [PXL] and -Belleza- have a skin appliers, but they come with nipple appliers with 3 nipple choices as well.
The [PXL] appliers come with 2 shading options. One normal and one push-up. The nipple appliers come with 3 different nipple sizes (small, medium and big). They are very easy to apply. You just select the texture, right click and add. You do this for the texture and for the nipple of your choice.
The -Belleza- appliers come with one shading option and a tattoo layer (as well as shirt layers) to help blend the texture to the mesh breasts. The texture and nipple applier (there are 3 different natural nipple looks to chose from) come in an easy to use HUD. Just click and go!
 I guess you will be able to see more about both creator's appliers, and the Lush mesh breasts, in following pics. I must warn you though, I did touch-up the images in Photoshop, in order to conceal the seams. Like I mentioned earlier, you really have to work with a neutral windlight in order to avoid this noticeable glitch. I also recommend checking-out the the demo thoroughly.
When you get the demo, take the time to adjust you avatars's shape, in order to fit the mesh breast. You also want to go into edit mode and find the right height for them. After that, use the built in re-sizer script, so you can find the most comfortable size for your taste. And then, I suggest testing different lighting. You will probably have to re-adjust the size and fit of your mesh breasts, as you go bigger or smaller. So, with that said, here are your LMs:

Last Day for January Cycle of FaMESHed

The January cycle of FaMESHed is sadly coming to an end. As always, there are so many AMAZING original mesh creations to be found there. The fact that FaMESHed showcases all original (ie, no templates) mesh content, is one the main reasons that I really love this event. I think it is very important to focus on all of these talented designers, who have worked so hard to bring us some of best mesh creations in SL.
Hmmm, so where do I start? E! Eclectic Apparel! E! has come such a LONG way in the ranks of SL fashion. Their design team makes beautifully rendered mesh and pays a lot of attention to detail.  Each collection gets better and better with every release. In the following pictures, I am wearing their awesome 'Xanna' pants. They are perfect for any casual (but still chic) look. They also created a 'Libby' top to go with these pants. I was going to wear it for this post, but in the middle of a styling crisis, I found something I else I wanted to wear the top with. I really love mixing matching. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and was not able to take pics of it of yet. However, the 'Libby' top will be available in E! Mainstore, after FaMESHed ends. So, stay tuned for an upcoming post with that top. It is seriously cute!
NyuNyu Kimono of Nyu, is also another FaMESHed regular. I have come to love her sleek lines and minimalist approach to designing. Her clothes are always perfect for a more sophisticated look. Her 'Button Back Shirt', is a prime example of her gorgeous creations. I paired her dress with the super sexy new 'Spiked' pumps from FANATIK, which can also be found out at FaMESHed. They come in a TON of different colors and you can choose from silver or gold spikes (via a texture change HUD).
I decided to add a some of my latest favorite releases into the mix of my looks, even though they are not available FaMESHed. So, with that said, RUN over to FaMESHed and pick-up some of the fabulous designs there, before it is over! Here is your LM:
