LOTD -12.4.10 Feat. *BOOM* and a few other amazing new releases!

Things have been pretty crazy with my RL. I haven't been well and just had ambulatory surgery and am currently recovering at home, so I apologize for any late reviews.  However, in all this madness, SLs designers and artists have been a huge distraction and outlet for me. I am thankful for this. One of the main reasons I started this blog, was to play to homage to all the amazing work that has been created in this virtual medium. It also provoked me to expand my own creative interests in photography and writing. So, thank you to all the incredible artists and visionaries in SL!
Anyway, enough of that mushy stuff! There have been some more amazing new releases in SL fashion, which are predominantly making up my LOTD. Aranel Ah just created some awesome new scarves, rightly called 'Righteous Muff", which are made up of the most fabulous textures and shading. Plus, they come with a cool mouth attachment that makes you look like you are breathing cold air. And, as always, they come is just about every color imaginable, including sepia for the upcoming weekly color challenge. I'm a little late to the 52 color blogger challenge, so I decided to wear the 'plum' colored muff to make-up for last weeks challenge. I know, lame....

I am also wearing the new preview version of the new '.ILLUSORY.' skin by Crushed Clarity. It is absolutely stunning and I can't take it off. I can't wait to see the whole line! I also threw on the new 'Delta Open Jacket' from moddishh GossipGirl, which is perfect for layering. Actually, most of moddishh's designs are great for layering. She has become one of my favorite 'go to' designers when I need certain piece to complete my look. Like, all the other designers listed here, her designs are hand drawn and are expertly rendered. LiLO Glom has seriously blown my mind with her new ::::Xmas:::: Skins! Now, I am a self-proclaimed skin addict, but LiLO has completely won me over with this new line.The fact that I absolutely the love the 'Light Skin' is a true testament to her abilities, since I have always been a 'Tan Skin' kind of girl. I literally have not been able to stop wearing this skin since she sent me the review copies. *Muahs* LiLO!

The face on the ::::Xmas::: Skin is absolutely stunning! The lips are perfectly defined and absolutely luscious. The 'oh so cute' teeth are adeptly rendered, making this one of the best 'toothy' skins I have seen to date. The slightly ruddy nose adds realism to this seasonal skin, since it's look like you just walked in from the cold. We all know by now that LiLO loves to give us several wear options and this skin is no exception. For each make-up, she gives us a plain version with just lip color and a full 'Makeup' version with blush and eyeshadow.

LiLO Glom is quickly becoming one of SL's favored skin designers. Her latest line of skin, also know as 'Winter Skin', is definitely a testament to her talent. The eyes have a sultry look and the lips are full and luscious. LiLO creates a fresh 'just-in-from-the-cold' glow to the cheeks, which are adorned with the cutest set of dimples. I have seen a lot of tattoo layers for dimples, but not too many skins that come with dimples already. I absolutely LOVE this feature! The New 'Pea Trench Coat' from E! Eclectic Apparel!

I love trench coats and can't seem to get enough of them in RL and SL. They are perfect transitional jacket for Fall and Spring.  They can add instant class to just about any look. Now, I have purchased quite a few trench coats, since I have been in SL and adore all of them. But this design is definitely 'one-of-kind' (at least to me). Eclectic Wingtips managed to create an incredible looking jacket with absolutely NO prims! Now, I know that's hard to believe. And,to be perfectly honest, if I had had been in a store looking at this trench and saw that it had no prims and system skirt on top of it, I would have definitely passed it up and chalked up the fabulous look on the vendor ad to just plain Photoshop magic. Now, I know you are thinking, did she just say, "system skirt"? Yup, and I think the way Eclectic used it is absolutely brilliant. System skirts have definitely been making a come back in casual wear. Eclectic uses this layer as the jacket's skirt. And it fits and looks absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how freeing it is, not having to worry about sizing and fussing with intruding prims. However, I don't feel this 'Pea Trench Coat', could look as gorgeous as it does, if it weren't for Eclectic's extraordinary hand drawn details. Her shading and highlights are on point! BTW, I will be adding a section to my blog for those of you, who may need help modifying their shape for system skirts. They tend extra curvage on the bottom, so you may want to slim down that part of your avi's shape, so you like you normally do. It definitely works well as a jacket skirt, since it adds the fullness that the prim usually does. But you may want to resize to fit a skirt. Many shape makers do include a shape just for this purpose. However, if you created your own shape (like me) or were just given a standard shape, I can give you a basic overview on how to do that. Of course, your shape must be copy/mod. Personally, I would never buy a shape that was not copy/mod. But everyone has their own personal tastes.

A Few Of My Favorite Things! Including New Releases from Berries Inc & [Addict]

As most of you know by now, I have been a bit behind in my posts, due to RL issues, a wicked flu and a crappy graphic card, over the last few weeks. However, things are somewhat back to normal and I'm doing my best to catch-up with all these awesome designs. One of my favorites being this 'Bettie Jacket' and 'Marla Skirt' from Berries Inc.. Summse Sands is an extraordinary designer, who always manages to come up with comfortable, but sexy and exceptionally rendered clothes. These are pieces are very similar to what I would wear real life, so it just makes me love them all that more. Her 'Bettie Jacket', is a gorgeous crocheted cardigan, with amazing detailing and prim-work. I just love the cute little bow accent on the side. The colors I am showing, which may be a bit hard distinguish between the 3, are all white with brown, green and fog colored accents. I just love these neutral tones, which are perfect for fall. Then there is the 'Marla Skirt', which Summse supplied with many several layering and resize options, which I always appreciate. You can choose to use a script resizer or do it yourself. You will notice in the pics, that I made the skirts various lengths and and sizes, in order to show it's versatility. I am also showing 'Marla' in the fabulous neutral tones of black, brown and grey. This is the perfect fall skirt, since it comes in a wonderful corduroy texture, which is adorned adorable with buttons and pockets. These two pieces are definitely my new favorite additions to my fall wardrobe. I literally have not been able to take these off, since I took the pics. *LOL*. Kianna's pieces are simply yummy! I will also be posting a more extensive review on these creations as well, but I couldn't wait to these. I am sure you can't help but notice that gorgeous bag, also known as the 'Day Tripper Bag'. This is called 'Hendrix', who is also one of my all time favorite musicians. And following suit to this trend, she named the rest of the 'Day Tripper Bags', which I will be showing you in a later post, after other famous and talented musicians (ex, Janis, Garcia, Zepplin & Stevie) of the late 60s and early 70s. So then I couldn't help but tap into my inner doe and don her uber cute 'OH DEER Antler Headbands', which come in 5 iconic colors, but I am wearing the 'carbon' in one picture and the 'snow' in another. Oh and I can't forget about the 'CHOCO Rings', which always makes me hungry! *LOL* Kianna created these delcious choclate bar rings, which are too adorable for words. They come in 4 colors - chocolate, gold, copper and silver. I obviously opted for the silver. New 'TRUTH'!

Truth Hawks just released 4 amazing new styles this week. I seriously can not fathom how he can continuously come up with not just one, but 3 or 4, unique and utterly incredible new designs each week. I guess it will just have to remain a mystery. Regardless, I really could not pick a favorite. I am in LOVE with them all! We have 'Bebe', who I feel a certain kinship with, since her hair is very much like RL hair, when not blown out straight. Actually, it was really bugging me out, because the similarities were just too much. 'Bebe' is thick and tousled with long and very natural looking loose curls. She comes in both a standard version and a streaked version with 26 colors to choose from. Then we 'Aiyana', who has a very Native American feel to her. She is thick and straight. The hair is carefully parted in the middle and then weaved into perfect braids. Now you can were the regular version of 'Ayiana', which is adorned with beautiful eagle feathers that come with 15 color change options. You can also opt to wear the plain version, which is obviously featherless, but equally fabulous. Plus, Truth included 7 shades of  face paint in tattoo layers, which definitely adds to the Native American feel. I simply adore this look. And last, but certainly not least, we have 'Nadine' and 'Nadine 2'. 'Nadine' is a sassy, but sweet, high ponytail that comes with headband that has 24 color change options and also a streaked version that has 26 colors. 'Nadine 2' is the practically identical, but comes without the headband. However, she still comes with the streaked version. Whew, talk about versatility! Woot! We have 3 more incredible creations from hair stylist extraodinaire, Truth Hawks. First we have 'Allegra', who is adorable with her perfectly disheveled bun/pig tail combo. Her look is completed with side-swept bangs and a braid that wraps around her head. Then we have 'Tara', who has a very full high hung ponytail. She comes in 2 versions. One has a color change band (18 different textures) and the other is delicately wrapped with a stand of hair. The band is almost like a mini 'scruchy', which gives a cool retro look. The plain is more modern and sophisticated. Either way, they are both gorgeous. Last, but definitely not least, we have 'Estelle'. 'Estelle' is long, luscious and has a loosely tied knot on the side. There are four new amazing styles from Mr. Truth Hawks this week! You got to love it! I am going to make this post short and sweet, since I am having major problems with my NEW laptop again, but let's not get into that. On a brighter note, we have 'Diana'. I am in lust with the loosely tied chignon that is just perfect for casual fall clothes or an ultra glam gown for a night on the town. This style is my new "wear-when-I-don't know-what-to-wear" hair, because it works with anything and will leave you looking well put together...even when SL doesn't. 

Now, there is another fabulous girl, who goes by the name of 'Gigi'. Much like the name, this style is short, cute and sassy. Plus, I adore the color change headband, which gives dual color choices and will match just about anything in your wardrobe. 

And last. but certainly not least, we have 'Sabrina'. Truth really went all out with this style. It definitely brings back a lot of junior high memories. I mean, HELLO, look at the mini side ponytail with the bauble elastic tie, which is also color change. This is too cute for words. And, if you want something a bit more understated, 'Sabrina' comes in a plain version as well.
