ONE VOICE and MANY SUPPORTERS

Unless you have been living under a prim rock in SL, you must know about the copyright complaint and DMCA take down notice filed by Hush Darkrose (aka HUSH Skins) against Gala Phoenix (aka Curio Skins). It is fairly easy for anyone with just a bit a common sense to say, "WTF?!". Gala has been creating some of the best and most sought after skins on the grid for years. I am sure almost every SL female avi owns at least one Gala's amazing creations. So, I had found it seriously difficult to believe that a content creator of this caliber and reputable reputation, could have been guilty of such allegations. And allegations are just what they are, nothing has been proven in court yet. Unfortunately, in order for Gala to defend her name in court, it will cost quite a bit money to pay a lawyer. The fee runs a very steep 20K USD. Thankfully, many of SL's designers have come together to raise these funds for Gala, by selling exclusive creations with 50-100 percent of the proceeds going to her cause. The last time I checked, around 8K USD has been raised! By participating in this event, called 'ONE VOICE', people are not only helping Gala, but are also taking a stand. This could happen to any content creator! Once a DMCA take down is filed, a creator can no longer sell their creations n SL until a decision is made in court. For many designers in SL, the sales from their creations are their only source of  income! It is frightening how can easily one can shut down a person's store and money supply. I am confident that the community will raise what Gala needs and them some. I also give her major props for standing by her name and fighting. I wish only the best and know that they will find her innocent of these insane changes. Last Few Hours of May Cycle of Collabor88, so HURRY!!!

I Focus On The Pain, The Only Thing That's Real...

I have been in depressed mood lately. It's mostly due to the fact that I haven't been well and the Summer is coming to end. I haven't been healthy enough to enjoy my favorite month and do the things that have become a tradition for me. I haven't even felt much like logging on 'inworld', since I feel like I have nothing positive to say and fear it reflects in my work too. I usually don't like to share too much of my personal life, but that is basically what has been going on with me.

How I Wish You Were Here....

Once again, I am completing a post that should of been up last night. You have got to love SL sometimes! *LOL*. Anyway, I FINALLY had the chance to post several pieces that I have been dying to blog for a little while now. Most of these are new (or at least fairly new) releases that I am sure you have seen already on other blogs or while pursuing the feeds. Two of these pieces come from the fabulous new designer, Elly Naire. I adore her simple, but very feminine designs that have become a wardrobe MUST! I am wearing her beautifully rendered 'victorian blouse', as well as her super adorable 'cowboy hat'. Both of these creations come in ton of gorgeous colors. I also got a chance to wear my new favorite earrings from Elikem Melodie of MONS. These amazing blue 'feather earrings', also come in green and white. Feathers have become a HUGE trend, especially when they adorn jewelry. So, I would just buy all three colors. I seriously LOVE them! Ekilem, who we all know makes "to-die-for" skins (you will be seeing several upcoming reviews of these too...laptop willing), also made some awesome bangles in a TON of colors and shapes. You will see in the pics below that I basically just mixed and matched them, while attaching as many as I could to my wrists (and that my viewer would allow me). For those of you who use Phoenix Viewer or Kirstens, you can attach several objects to one point, even though they don't give you second attachment points any more. All you have to right click on the object, select wear and attach to the object to the point that you want to wear it on. Depending on the attachment, you may need to mod. This is only necessary if you wear an object on a different attachment point then what it was made for.

New Releases from Amacci Hair!

Carina Larsen just released a bunch of gorgeous new hair styles just in time for Spring. What I love most about her latest releases, are all the 'hat styles'. Not only are the hats awesome, but each part is texture/color change. Needless to say, this makes the combinations and styling options almost limitless! You can also opt to wear the hair with or without that hat. You can even wear the hat with a completely different style hair too. Carina definitely does not leave me wanting for more wear options. All of her creations are so fabulous that I don't know where to start. Well, I guess I do have one style that I find extra special and her name is 'Tracy'. 'Tracy' is wide brimmed straw hat with a hole at the top for the ponytail hairstyle. She is fabulous! As I mentioned before, the hat is color/texture change, so you can match it with anything in your Spring wardrobe....

I have another uber fab 'hat style', called 'Hannah', but she has a low ponytail topped off with a cool fedora. Like all the other hats, this is color/texture change. I was actually able to match it perfectly to my blazer. Love it!

Now, I have couple of 'non-hat styles' to show you. They are actually rather long, straight and thick. Carina creates wonderful textures for her hair. They have the 'flexi' for movement, but not too much. I think we have all seen hair with too much 'flexi' and it just looks greasy. Carina manages to find a prefect balance between sculpted prims for hold and flexi-prims for movement. A prime example of this would be with her latest style, called 'Emilia'. She has a coy look with a sexy side part and is definitely a must have!

If you like 'Emila' then you will definitely love 'Amita'. Instead of a side part, she has bangs with a bit of fringe. Her hair is slight tousled and place over the shouler and around the back of the neck, Simply Stunning!

The latest from ~*INDIE ROSE*~

Angelina Eizenberg has created yet another gorgeous collection! I always adore Angelina's romantic and feminine pieces that throughly display all the thought and care she puts into them. I know this post is a bit late again, but better late than never. Besides, these are designs that are always worth a second a glance. With this release, Angelina created a line a carefully sculpted blouses, called the 'Satin Belt Blouse', in brilliant pastel shades (e.g. beige, pink, lavender, blue and yellow). Angelina also designed some lovely 'Floral Skirts', which match the aforementioned tops beautifully. I love the whispy and silky textures of these 'Floral Skirts'. They have a slight boho feel to them too; another definite plus!.

In contrast to light 'floral skirts', Angelina also came out with a line of full knee-length 'denim skirts'. This is definitely a refreshing alternative to all the denim minis out there. Once again, Angelina does not lose her eye for detail and renders another wonderful piece. The denim skirts; which come in dark and light washes of blue, grey and brown; also go will with the 'Satin Belt Top'. However, as you can see, I chose to show some different wear options. One thing that I have always appreciated about Angelina's clothes, is the fact that she always gives you every layer imaginable. The ways you can style her pieces are practically endless!

Amazing Newness from TRUTH & Lazy Sunday With Absolution

I have some awesome new releases from TRUTH and Absolution to show you. So, I figured I would combined the two creations. First, I would like to get down to the hair. Wow! Truth really went all out this week and produced some incredible new styles. I honestly can not pick a favorite style! He gave us three gorgeous, as well a little edgy, new creations. Two of them are long with bangs, but also a include a version without bangs. Truth also gave us sleek short style as well. 'Bea' is very similar 'Adele'. However, 'Bea' has gorgeous waves with a long curl that makes her absolutely irresistible. 'Bea' also comes with a non-bang version, standard colors and streaks...
