Nothing Burns Like The Cold

It's been one crazy Winter. One week warm and the next two week freezing. Everyone has the flu and is laying low, so I am trying to make the best of it. At least the days are getting longer now.
I am going to make this post quick, despite the fact that there are so many lovely items to talk about...

The super talented NyuNyu Kimono of NYU, created this super adorable shift dress for Seasons Story. I love the clean lines and minimalist look of this piece, which NyuNyu is so famous for. It just goes to show that beautifully rendered mesh and great textures speak volumes.

Nina Helix of .Birdy., made this lovely new skin that I am wearing. It is called Savannah and is a Seasons Story exclusive too. Nina also created those uber cute bunny coffee mugs behind me. They are called Bunny Cafe and are an OMGacha exclusive this month! Nina makes such amazing mesh items and you will definitely want to collect all of these Bunnies! They are only 75L per play, so make sure you try your luck!

The talented Gyorgyna Larnia finally created a new release for the LaGyo Mainstore! It is this stunning feather necklace that I am wearing. This dramatic Mollie Necklace has a bohemian feel to it, yet still makes a bold statement, I am really in love this necklace, so make sure you check it out ASAP!

Uff! I know it is hard to see, but Caelyn Hancroft created the shorter necklace. It has disk shaped pendant with a tree in it. Not only is it perfectly rendered, but it comes with a HUD that lets you fully customize the colors. I will have to wear it again to show you. Caelyn is really making a name for herself by designing some of the most beautiful jewelry on the grid. The necklace is another Seasons Story exclusive this month!

 Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea has been very busy lately, making amazing furniture and home decor items for several events this month. One of my favorite items is this Roux Coffee Station for The Neighborhood. Obviously, I love coffee and anything related to it. However, this is the perfect addition to one's virtual kitchen. Especially when it is cold outside (like it has been in RL), since it adds lots warmth and charm.

I once again apologize for my lack of posts this month. My RL has been absolutely crazy and I have not had much time for SL. Because of this, I feel a bit overwhelmed by all the amazing and wonderful new releases and events. There are so many fabulous items to blog and so little time! I will try to make this post quick, so I can catch-up.

Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, created this STUNNING Kirsty dress for this month's FaMESHed. This chic and flirty strapless dress is absolutely gorgeous. I love the sleek lines that are offset with a ruffle on the side. As always, Sissy rendered this dress to perfection with beautiful textures and tones. Please make sure you run and grab this lovely frock before FaMESHed comes to a close!

This gorgeous skin that I am wearing is a Cosmetic Fair Winter Edition exclusive from aida Ewing of Glam Affair. It is her latest Mokatana skin, which is available in Artic skin tone and comes 8 vibrant fashion forward make-ups. aida's skins are always lovely and well thought out. Winter Events!

There are so many great events that are going on right now that is almost impossible to keep up. So for this post, I wanted to show a sampling of some of favorite my event exclusives that feature skin, hair and accessories....

I am absolutely in LOVE with this latest new skin from -Glam Affair-, called Magenta! What makes this skin extra special, is that aida created it in a new skin tone, called Asia. Just like the name of the skin tone, the facial features reflect a more Asian ethnicity, which are absolutely beautiful! This special edition was created for this round of The Seasons Story. Speaking of brilliant Collabor88 creations, Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo created this lovely Chantelle necklace and earrings. These pieces are so simple and glamorous at the same time.They are available in a choice of 3 metals and are the perfect finishing touch for any outfit!

Since I was so busy with RL over the Holidays, I didn't get a chance to post all the new items that I wanted to. So I am going to do it now!

It was a December Collabor88 exclusive, but it should be in that ~Tableau Vivant~  Mainstore by now. The hair is unisex and is made of rigged mesh, so it comes in several sizes. I love the HUD driven color packs which are based on the 4 Seasons. This is gives you a ton of wonderful tones choose from. The hat is texture change too via HUD and allows for every color imaginable. This is definitely a Winter MUST!

IKON's Promise Eyes and Belleza's RIA!

I am so excited! Ikon Innovia of IKON is now a FaMESHed regular! This means more stunning new mesh eyes, from my all time favorite eye creator! For this month's FaMESHed, Ikon released the new Promise Eyes, which are absolutely gorgeous. I love the window reflection in the eye and the details are so life-like. These are just a few of the brilliant colors available.They basically come in every color imaginable and only cost 150L per pair. The biggest problem is choosing a color, since they are all so lovely! Each purchase includes: 5 sizes of both regular system eyes, mesh eyes (can be worn without the mesh attachments too), and a convenient HUD for precise fitting, various options and different effects. The HUD is easy to use and allows for a perfect fit in a matter of seconds.You can easily change the overall size of the eye or just the iris and pupil, you can change the degree of shading on the white of the eyes, add glow and add brightness.

Always Save Some Of The Best For Last!

If you read my blog often, then you know I tend to wait towards the end of an event to post some of my favorite items. I would love to post such items as soon as I get them, but the feeds are usually so saturated with the same designs at that time. So this is why I like to wait until the things slow down a bit. Plus, these are often creations that you may have forgotten about, especially if you were not able to get into the event right away.
I was soooooo excited to find out that Onyx LeShelle of Maitreya is now a permanent Collabor88 designer! Her debut creations for December were absolutely phenomenal, but I would expect no less from this iconic and gifted designer.

Onyx created this fabulous Oversized Coat in several lovely soft and muted tones. I can never have enough over-sized coats, especially ones like this that work well for layering. I paired Onyx's Panel Leggings with this coat, since they went together perfectly! I also adore the geometrical feel that the panels give to the overall look. Please make sure you run over to Collabor88 to try on these demos, since today is the last day for the December cycle!

Speaking of gorgeous December Collabor88 exclusives, Bubbles Clawtooth of Clawtooth, created this AMAZING headband adorned hair style, called Snuggle Party! The name of this hair says it all. The over-sized knit headband (I know it is not really a headband, but my brain is a bit dead at the moment) keeps your head warm and cozy, while still looking fabulous. Plus, I love the wispy and slightly messy tendrils. Bubbles has been on a roll lately, especially when it comes to creating such gorgeous and unique hair styles. This is another MUST demo at Collabor88 before it ends. 

aida Ewing of -Glam Affair-, created a new line of skin for this round of Collabor88. It is called, Mokatana (Hmm... I wonder where she got this name from?) and she is seriously lovely! Last Day for December's Arcade and Goodbye to Firestorm Beta!

I had finally got around to downloading the new Firestorm Beta earlier this month and was so excited to use it! Unfortunately, it became impossible to use. I have a great ASUS gaming laptop with an awesome NVIDIA graphic card, so I did not think I would have any problems. These are some of the issues I had experienced: very slow performance, crashing when inventory half way loaded, video card driver crashes when taking pics, etc... I am sure my performance would be much faster if shadows and the advanced lighting mode were not in use or if I did not take such large pictures, but I am usually only on to take pics! It was making blogging virtually impossible for me. I can be rather stubborn and determined, but this was making my whole SL experience NOT fun and unproductive. So this is my last post using Firestorm Beta and I am reverting back to the old Firestorm until the bugs are worked out. I hope this is not the price I will have to pay in order to use anything "Materials Ready". FYI: This is just my personal experience using the aforementioned viewer. Please do not let my experience deter you from trying it out

The main reason I was so persistent in using Firestorm Beta for the above image, is because I wanted to show off the amazing materials ready detail on this awesome Oh Deer Igloo from FrankLee Anatra of {what next}. The gorgeous hooded winter dress actually comes with the hair! This is a special Arcade exclusive from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile and is called, First Snow! Each gacha try allows you to win one of 15 hair color packs and also a HUD with 10 different colors for the dress! There is a special RARE HUD that has several dress colors in a sparkle texture too! I was being a bit boring for this post, since I loved this shade of cream sans sparkles. 

I nearly fell over when I saw this beautiful Suede Muff from Maylee Oh of The Secret Store! And Guess What? It is FREE! Well, if you can find it... It is one of the many amazing hunt items that you can find at Inspiration Point's Christmas Hunt. All of Inspiration Point's designers are taking part in this awesome hunt. After you touch the hunt sign, you should receive a folder with a hunt HUD and hunt map. Both the hunt HUD and map show where the hunt items are located. You can find hunt items hidden in a tiny green Christmas Tree. So Happy Hunting! This hunt ends on the 31st of December, so hurry over there, if you haven't already!

You also need to run over and grab this seriously pretty snowflake adorned necklace from Cae. This all mesh necklace is called, Let It Snow, and you can change the texture (silver and gold) of all it's components via HUD. I sincerely adore Caelan Hancroft's beautifully and delicately rendered jewelry. It always adds the perfect touch to any outfit.

ISON for December's Collabor88

December's Collabor88 has some of the best creations from my favorite designers this round. One of my all time favorite creators, Harry Hyx of ISON, is one of these designers. He created a bunch of MUST HAVE Winter separates in soft neutral tones.

For this post, I decided to pair Harry's sleek chic asymmetric tank dress with his soft and slightly rugged raw hide vest. I adore the contrast between the two textures and styles. Not to mention, both of these pieces can be worn in so many different ways. These are two Collabor88 exclusives from ISON that should not be passed up!

Another one of my favorite Collabor88 exclusives this month is this stunning Matilda necklace and earrings from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. I know I had already blogged this set in another color, but it was so lovely that I had to show it off again in a different color. Both the necklace and earrings are beautifully rendered and executed, giving I am definitely in LOVE!

As previously mentioned, PXL Creations has a special VIP Group gift this month. It is based on their JADE skin line in a pale tone and has healthy "winter" blush, hence the name JADE Winter. A Glamorous FROST!

For this month's FROST event, Glam Affair will be participating as Tableau Vivant's guest! This team of talented designers, created  the most STUNNING winter skins and accessories for this event!

aida created special FROST edition of her Neva skin line! It is made-up of 3 beautiful icy make-ups in an ethereal pale skin tone, which is perfect for the cold winter month's ahead. Each make-up pack includes: 6 eyebrow options (embedded into the skin - 6 skin in all), 4 appliers (Lolas Tango Skin Appliers, Slink Feet Skin Applier, Slink Hands Skin Appliers, and *L.inc* Phat Azz Skin Applier) and 3 suggested brow shapes! You have got to love all these options!

Now, if that is not enough, aida and M4ri1yn created a ton of new make-up tattoos and lashes for the Seraphim Social. This headpiece is part of of their Snow Queen hair style, which is an unrigged mesh updo that I adore, but am not wearing in this post. I wanted to show my whole face, so I decided to go with slicked-back updo form from Faenzo. Please forgive me for this. However, Snow Queen is one hair style from ~Tableau Vivant~ that you so NOT want miss! I also love that you can wear the head piece with other hair styles. You can wear the Snow Queen hair alone too!

Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, just released a couple of party dresses for the Holiday Season. I chose to wear her super elegant Gemma dress in a frosty pink, in order to complete my look. I am in awe of how this dress just hugs the body perfectly. It is a prime example of what mesh was made for! This dress also has a seriously low back, which is undoubtedly sexy and also allows me to show off Maxi Gossamer's Tiffany Back Necklace, which was a Jewelry and Accessories Expo exclusive!
