Stepford Wife

I am absolutely in love with Maylee Oh's, of The Secret Store, 50's vintage inspired Betty Swing Dress. This stunning creation with it's perfectly rendered textures, is also a May Collabor88 exclusive this month. This dress, which comes in a beautiful array of patterns (floral, polka dots and stripes) and colors, can be worn and styled in so many different ways (especially since it comes with texture change HUD for the belt). So I decided to go with a more classic look that made me feel so elegant, beautiful and well...perfect...kind of like a 'Stepford' version of myself. LOL.

Anyway, Maylee has once again won me over with yet another gorgeous creation! You absolutely MUST demo this dress ASAP at Collabor88!
May's Collabor88 also has a ton of amazing accessories to go with all the fabulous clothes. I seriously adored this Frankie Purse from Natalee Oodles of Noodles. This beautiful purse goes so well with this dress too!
I also couldn't resist these fabulous Glossed Pumps from Hervé Faenzo. Like the purse and the dress, they are rendered to perfection and are a May Collabor88 exclusive!

Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo created the most stunning jewelry for this month's Collabor88. I know it is a bit hard to see in these pics, but I am wearing her Mary Necklace (with swallows and flowers) and Mary Flower Earrings. The necklace and earrings are available in 3 different metals (gold, silver and bronze) and the flowers come with a texture-change HUD. This makes matching a cinch! Bubbles Clawtooth of Clawtooth, didn't hold back either this month. He created this lovely retro-esque hair style, called A Little Lamb. It also comes with this texture change bow, which totally completes my look! This another MUST demo item.

Last Day for December's Arcade and Goodbye to Firestorm Beta!

I had finally got around to downloading the new Firestorm Beta earlier this month and was so excited to use it! Unfortunately, it became impossible to use. I have a great ASUS gaming laptop with an awesome NVIDIA graphic card, so I did not think I would have any problems. These are some of the issues I had experienced: very slow performance, crashing when inventory half way loaded, video card driver crashes when taking pics, etc... I am sure my performance would be much faster if shadows and the advanced lighting mode were not in use or if I did not take such large pictures, but I am usually only on to take pics! It was making blogging virtually impossible for me. I can be rather stubborn and determined, but this was making my whole SL experience NOT fun and unproductive. So this is my last post using Firestorm Beta and I am reverting back to the old Firestorm until the bugs are worked out. I hope this is not the price I will have to pay in order to use anything "Materials Ready". FYI: This is just my personal experience using the aforementioned viewer. Please do not let my experience deter you from trying it out

The main reason I was so persistent in using Firestorm Beta for the above image, is because I wanted to show off the amazing materials ready detail on this awesome Oh Deer Igloo from FrankLee Anatra of {what next}. It is just one of the many different igloos that you can win from their Arcade gacha! Each Igloo has it's own theme, which includes: a sled, sleeping bag in igloo, tree lights and a mailbox (RARES). There are also several couples and singles animations in and outside the igloo! So make sure you try your luck!

I am also in love with these uber cute penguins from the talented Aime Takaaki of *MishMish*. These guys are also an Arcade gacha exclusive that you simply can not pass up!

The gorgeous hooded winter dress actually comes with the hair! This is a special Arcade exclusive from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile and is called, First Snow! Each gacha try allows you to win one of 15 hair color packs and also a HUD with 10 different colors for the dress! There is a special RARE HUD that has several dress colors in a sparkle texture too! I was being a bit boring for this post, since I loved this shade of cream sans sparkles. 

I nearly fell over when I saw this beautiful Suede Muff from Maylee Oh of The Secret Store! And Guess What? It is FREE! Well, if you can find it... It is one of the many amazing hunt items that you can find at Inspiration Point's Christmas Hunt. All of Inspiration Point's designers are taking part in this awesome hunt. This includes: The Secret Store, Tee*fy/LaViere, KIRIN and HOUSE of FOX. All you have to do, after TPing to the landing point, is touch the small hunt sign. After you touch the hunt sign, you should receive a folder with a hunt HUD and hunt map. Both the hunt HUD and map show where the hunt items are located. You can find hunt items hidden in a tiny green Christmas Tree. So Happy Hunting! This hunt ends on the 31st of December, so hurry over there, if you haven't already!

You also need to run over and grab this seriously pretty snowflake adorned necklace from Cae. This all mesh necklace is called, Let It Snow, and you can change the texture (silver and gold) of all it's components via HUD. I sincerely adore Caelan Hancroft's beautifully and delicately rendered jewelry. It always adds the perfect touch to any outfit.

Last Day for August Collabor88!

I am going to try and make this post quick. This is the last day for the August cycle of Collabor88! I really wish the last month was not so crazy for me, because I really wanted to post every single creation for this round. Sadly, I was not able to. All of the creators who were involved with August's round, which was also Collabor88's 2 year anniversary, did an outstanding job. The theme is vintage 1920's (aka "Razzle Dazzle"). Just a think of a huge party of Gatsby's. All of the creations in this post are August Collabor88 exclusives (except for my Maxi Gossamer "FuFu Bag")!
Maylee Oh (of The Secret Store) created this exquisite "Sequined Flapper Dress". It also comes in another version with a different pattern. Unfortunately, while preparing to show you the second dress in my close-up picture, I made a huge mistake. I added the new dress to my avatar, but forgot to take off the old dress. When I went to snap the pic, I did not notice that the previous dress was still showing and covering-up the new dress. It was not until I was finished editing my pics that I noticed this. So, I apologize to everyone, especially Maylee. Ms. Oh, as most of you know is one of my all time favorite SL designers. It has been a pleasure watching her creations evolve and become more amazing with each new release. Her designs are always perfectly rendered and textured, which shows just how much love and care go into her work. You simply must grab this dress and demo it NOW, if you have not already done so yet!

I paired this dress with these fabulous "Casinelle" shoes from Allegory Malaprop of  Schadenfreude. Not only are these shoes beautiful, but they are texture change too! Allegory created a HUD, which gives you the ability to change the color of each part of shoe (ie, the sole, sides, middle, book, heel, etc..). They are also come in a "materials" version too! Another MUST demo! Here is what the HUD looks like.

This gorgeous skin that I am wearing, is from Hart Larsson of PXL Creations. He created a lovely vintage version of his 'Kate' skin, which comes in 4 gorgeous make-up and a new 'vintage' skin tone. Each skin also comes with 2 different brow shapes and brow tattoos - Vintage and Standard. The skin itself has no brows, so you can wear your own brow tattoos or none at all. He also made Slink appliers to go with the new skin tone as well. You can buy the skins and appliers separately, or you can buy them all in one extra discounted pack. I am wearing the 'KATE Vintage "Paris" makeup' in the above images. So, please make sure to go and demo it!

Caelyn Hancroft is quickly making a name for herself. Her brand Cae, houses some of the most stunning mesh jewelry on the grid. For this cycle Collabor88, she created this gorgeous "Dazzle" necklace and tiara. Both pieces are texture change via script too!

I know I am blabbing a lot, but I am so excited about everything in this post! Bubbles Clawtooth created this seriously fabulous mesh hair style called, "Say Yes". Bubble's Hair is always brilliant and is always a MUST demo!

Normally, I would go on about the decor at this point, but I am in a hurry! Collabor88 is closing soon! Well, I will mention one more thing, besides the lovely "Boudoir Vanity" from floorplan and the awesome "Evelyn Piano" from Alouette. Mesh Peacocks! I simply adore these mesh "White Peacocks" from Aime Takaaki of *MishMish*. Aime created versions for rezzing and for wearing! They are so adorable and wonderfully made. I am really in love with all of Aime's creations.
