Melancholy Baby

I just wanted to give everyone a heads-up on my current situation, which is making me very sad. First of all, I have been having so many issues with SL lately that it has been almost impossible to blog or log. I have wrote about this before and received some helpful advice, but unfortunately it did not work. As most of you know, I have been having issues with logging in, mesh not rezzing, layers not rezzing, inventory not loading and constant crashing. This is so frustrating and depresing. Blogging is my creative outlet in this crazy world. Not to mention, I am letting all the people I blog for down. But, what can I do? I do not know what is causing these problems. I am doing my best to find out what exactly it may be. Is it my laptop, connection, viewer or just SL? Maybe it is bit of everything.
Secondly, I just had surgery. It was nothing major, but I did develop a small post-op infection that I have had to take time off to fight. So, please bear with me while I take the time to let my body heal and to find out what is making my SL sick.
I finally got around to posting a creation that was released a couple of months ago. It is an outfit from the fabulous Mimikri Kit, called 'Renee'. This all mesh ensemble is perfect for early fall. It is made up of classic chinos, a crop knit tank and suede shrug. There is also a gorgeous hip sash to add an extra bit flare to this extraordinary oufit. Happy Birthday Mr. Hawks!

For those of you who have not already heard, it is Truth Hawks' birthday today! My close friend, blogger and SL wife of Mr. Hawks, Kaelyn Alecto, accomplished the mind blowing task of snapping 140 pictures of SL's fashion community in honor of this special day. She also encouraged all SL bloggers to send Truth some love and write a birthday post for him. How could I resist the man, whose hair made my SL a much more beautiful and fashionable place? Truth Hawks is an SL icon. Just about every woman in SL has one of his AMAZING creations in their inventory (actually we all do, since he created the updated LL default avatar hair) For me, Truth's hair was my first purchase in the process of de-noobing myself and also the beginning of a very long love affair with his hair. When I first started blogging, Truth was one of the first creators to send me copies to blog. I have no idea why, because I was a terrible blogger. I think he must have mixed-up my blog with someone else. LOL. Regardless, it meant the world to me and made me feel special. Truth has always had this presence in SL, not unlike 'The Great Oz'. He is mysterious, yet seems to be everywhere (well, his hair is worn just about everywhere in SL). Now, I can not say I know Truth well, but I have had the privilege of catching a few glimpses behind the curtain. And, unlike 'The Great Oz', he is not a disappointment. He is kind, generous, down-to-earth and even funny (he is really funny, to be honest)! Truth can be a bit a perv as well, but that is cool too ( I am also a bit of perv, so I can't say anything bad about that)! I know I am babbling like dork and am also really tired. So, I will sum my post up with this... "Happy Birthday TRUTH!" Thank you for your support, generosity and amazing creations. I wish you the most fabulous year ever with many more to come!

Last Day for Hair Fair 2012!

I am so sad that  Hair Fair 2012 is coming to close today :( It is definitely one of the highlights of my SL year. Fortunately, much money was raised raised for 'Wigs for Kids' and all the creators were showing their best styles. Once again, I would like to commend Sasy Scarborough, and her amazing team! And, since it is the last day, it is officially 'Bandana Day'! So, I encourage you go sans hair and wear one of the fabulous designer bandannas (found at the SIM entrances) or just work a bald head. As far as I know over 2 million lindens have been raised for 'Wigs for Kids'. However, that was quoted awhile ago and I know it has to be much higher by now. I will announce the final results after  Hair Fair 2012 has ended.

I am so in LOVE with Tricky Boucher's lastest skin masterpeice, Lily V1! 'Fairy Tales 2012' is definitely one of my favorite SL events thus far and it still going strong until the 8th! Now, one of my all time favorite Fairy Tale's is 'Alice in Wonderland'. If you have been following my blog, then you know 'KATE' is finally here!!!  If you do not know who 'KATE' is by now, well you should and you will. 'KATE' is the long awaited new skin line from skin maestro, Hart Larsson. If you liked 'GAIA' and 'LINDA', you will love, love, love 'KATE'. Like I have mentioned in my previous posts, 'Kate's' skin is to die for! It is perfectly rendered and one of the most beautiful creations I have seen to date. What makes 'KATE' especially lovable is the fact that you get a base skin tone and a TON of lip and eye tattoo layers to choose from. Usually, you get around 6-12 make-ups with a skin. This way you can style 'Kate' to look anyway you want. Kate comes with 3 cleavage options, freckle options and 3 brow tones, which gives you a total 18 base layers to choose from. The make-up tattoos, include glossy lips, matte lips, eyelines and smokey shadows. There is nothing left out!. As promised here is my full review full review of 'KATE'.
