Keeping Cool

It is another seriously HOT day in NYC, so I figured I would stay inside and be comforted by the air conditioning. So, I decide to login to SL and I am imagining that I am somewhere in upstate New York by a pond; being totally lazy. Maybe this weekend I can do this in RL. LOL! Anyway, I have the perfect look for such lazy warm days. Maya Levane, of Toki-Doki, has been on such a roll lately! She has been creating the most perfect mesh Summer separates. And, for Stumblebum this week, you can grab her exclusive mesh 'Mari Top'. I decided to pair this gorgeous top with Maya's mesh 'Cocoro' shorts, which come in every color imaginable!
Siddean Munro,of Slink, just answered my prayers this week and finally released a pair of mesh 'Aussi Thongs'! I have been waiting to see who would release the first pair of mesh flip-flops and Siddean did an just this! What I love most about these 'thongs', is they are created to go with her mesh feet. Yes, you do have to buy the mesh feet separate, but they are DEFINITELY worth it. I have not taken them off all Summer! She has created other sandals and shoes to go with these feet too. The thongs come with both a rigged and non-rigged mesh option.
One Voice is still going strong and we have manged the raise 20K needed for Gala Phoenix to cover her legal fees. I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see the SL community get together and help a fellow resident, as well as amazing creator, in need. It just goes to show that with a common goal and lots of support, anything can be accomplished. Inka Mexicola, of Essences, created this stunning 'Moana' skin for One Voice. In comes in 3 skin tones and has several tattoo options. Inka's skins are quickly becoming a huge favorite of mine.
And last, but definitely not least, Truth Hawks has been creating hair like crazy again. For this post I chose his latest release, called 'Aurora'. It is rigged mesh and comes with a HUD so you change the color of the headband, I am totally in love with this long and wavy style. So, let me stop my babbling, so you can go try on some demos! Carina Larsen of Amacci Skin came out with of special edition of her 'Mirelle' skin line in ebony. This skin is absolutely stunning! The tones are rich and sensual. I am soooooooooo behind in my posts! I have been sick with a terrible cold, so I have been trying to take it easy, but ahhhhh! There is so much to do now! So many great releases, so little time! Trust me, I am not complaining, but I am a bit overwhelmed and so is my wallet. Anyway, one of my favorite designers, Mila Tatham of *Solidea FoliEs*, just recently released the most adorably chic shift dress. This one sleeved mesh 'shift dress' has a stunning sunflower designer, hence the name of dress..."Sunflower". As always, Mila's textures are so well done. I also must mention that part of the dress is not mesh. The majority of this dress is mesh, but the beautifully detailed sleeve cuff is a sculpted prims. I think this was great idea, since I feel some details are lost in mesh. Anyway, let me stop my blabbering, so you can go try on a demo. Here is your limo:

I saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it...

It if finally starting to cool down a bit in my area of the world. So, I still feel like showing as many cool Spring looks as possible. Maya Levane, of Toki-Doki, has been releasing so many wonderful 'pre-Summer' designs. One of these gorgeous creations, would be her 'Naoko' jacket. And guess what? It is not mesh! So it is great for layering and obviously beautifully made. It comes in a bunch of fresh muted colors (such as mint, pink, blue, peach,yellow and magenta) mixed with funky patterns. I just fell in love with these jackets immediately. Now, since I am not the only one who fell in love with Maya's jackets, I had the challenge of trying to create an outfit that wasn't too similar to someone Else's. *LOL* It wasn't too hard, since this jacket can make just about any outfit stand out and look uber chic. I paired it with the stunning 'Debut, Hi-Waist Pants', from NyuNyu Kimono of Nyu. I have become such a huge fan of her as well. She hasn't been designing in SL that long, but she is quickly making quite a name for herself. I am sure you can clearly see why these are definitely one of my new favorite creations. I also chose a fabulous lace crop top from Camille Bellecoeur of urbana., in order to complete the look.
And of course, I am still covering the Skin Addiction's Skin Showcase. So, I decided to feature a stunning new and exclusive skin from Inka Mexicola of {.essences.}. Sunlight, opened up my eyes to see for the first time

I guess I would call this post a typical 'LOTD' featuring one fabulous and also lastest releases from Jin Elfan of Leverocci .This release, is aka her 'Soft Satin Blouse'. It is absolutely gorgeous and perfect rendered. Jin really is a genius when to comes to mesh!
I also decided to wear the new 'Lily V2' skin, fromTricky Boucher of -Belleza-. I have been long awaiting another new release from this skin maestro. And let me just say, it was definitely worth the wait! So, be sure to checkout some demos. I am wearing the group gift in this post.
Ikon Innovia just released a new version (v2) of is hugely popular 'Horizon' eyes, called 'Barely There'! They are so lovely and so realistic. In my opinion, Ikon creates the best eyes on the grid. Since the first day I tried them on about a year ago, I have been loyal convert. So, do yourself a huge favor and stop in and try on a demo.

The uber talented sl-fashion designer, Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, has recently released yet another amazing mesh creation. This fabulous piece is also know as the 'Anais Jumpsuit'. If you follow my blog regularly, then you probably have read my constant words of praise regarding Sissy's superb mesh creations. Not only are her designs gorgeous, but the mesh moves and fits flawlessly. The 'Anais Jumpsuit' is no exception and is also a perfect example of what mesh was made for. Gone are the days of fitting and resizing fussy prims, since mesh allows this to be just one piece. The jumpsuit hugs your body in just right places. There are no awkward prims that move one way, while the rest of your body moves another way. 'Anais' just naturally follows the flow of your avatar's movements. This strapless one piece comes in 5 eye-popping prints and is definitely an essential Summer staple. It also comes in 5 different sizes for just the right fit. Fashion is Love Hunt

The Fashion In Love Hunt kicked off this week so I went along to grab a few previews then actually did the hunt too. Its only 38 stores which suits me as the Hunts with a million stops I tend to give up with. Most prizes were not too hard to find but I would recommend joining the group which you can do at the starting point in case you need help along the way.
