Last Day for Hair Fair 2012!

I am so sad that  Hair Fair 2012 is coming to close today :( It is definitely one of the highlights of my SL year. Fortunately, much money was raised raised for 'Wigs for Kids' and all the creators were showing their best styles. Once again, I would like to commend Sasy Scarborough, and her amazing team! And, since it is the last day, it is officially 'Bandana Day'! So, I encourage you go sans hair and wear one of the fabulous designer bandannas (found at the SIM entrances) or just work a bald head. As far as I know over 2 million lindens have been raised for 'Wigs for Kids'. However, that was quoted awhile ago and I know it has to be much higher by now. I will announce the final results after  Hair Fair 2012 has ended.

SALSA!

It is mid- Summer and there are so many events going on right now in SL. It is almost impossible to keep track of all of them. So, this post is made-up of a few different event exclusives that you can grab now. I am wearing Applonia Criss's fabulous 'SALSA LINEN DRESS', which is a Couturier's Docks exclusive. There are so many gorgeous creations to be found at this event, so I highly recommend you check it out! I decided put the latest skin from MONS, called 'Jasha'. 'Jasha' is definitely one of Ekilem Melodie's best skins to date. Her strong features mixed with toned down make-ups, are what I adore about her the most. 'Jasha' can be found at the new Zodiac event. To top of my look, literally, I decided to wear one of my favorite creations from Hair Fair 2012. Baiastice 'Aicha'

Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice just released some gorgeous and super sexy dresses for Summer! For this post, I am wearing her 'Aicha' dress. This stunning mesh mini-dress with a plunging neckline, is a definite must for your Summer wardrobe.
Speaking of MUSTS! Izzie Button released an seriously beautiful skin exclusive, called 'Gala', for the 'ONE VOICE' fundraiser. Izzie has come quite a long way with her skins and they just keep getting better with each new release. One of the features that I love most about her skins, is that she gives you several base skins with brow and cleavage options. Then she gives you a ton of eye and lip tattoos, so you can fully customize your look to your liking!
By the way, Truth Hawks has been making tons of fabulous hair lately. I also appreciate that Truth has not gone totally mesh yet. Each release includes both mesh and non-mesh hair. As much as I love mesh, there are just certain textures that are difficult render in this medium. 'Ashlee' is a good example this. I really adore this style, especially since Truth went back to his "roots" and brought back his "streaked" option, which I have not seen in awhile. So, not only do you have a root options with this style, but a streaked option too. I know it is a lot of work, but I hope he does more of this in the future!

Beating The Heat In Baiastice

It has been seriously hot for most of us, who live in the western hemisphere, so staying cool has been a number one priority. Deep in the confines of my air conditioned home, I dream of windy beaches and gorgeous couture. Sissy Pessoa's latest creation, the 'Zoroaide Mesh Maxi Dress', is a prime example of what comes to mind. This stunning mesh maxi dress comes in four beautiful multi colored prints and four equally lovely momo colored prints. And to top it off, literally speaking, Sissy designed a perfect 'Huge Brim Mesh Hat', which comes in eight color choices, to coordinate with this dress. If you have noticed by now, I LOVE hats! Toki-Doki Summer!

 Maya Levane, of Toki-Doki, has been releasing so many wonderful creations for Summer. So, I figured that I would devote a whole a post her and a couple of these amazing pieces. Everything Maya creates is so lovely and impossible to resist. Her talent seems endless and this is just one of the many reasons why I love her work. For this post, I decided to wear her lovely 'inurita' dress. I chose to pair it with her latest 'summer nights cardigan'. Now, I love cardigans! Especially since I love to layer. And this particular cardi comes is so many stunning pastels and neutrals colors. It is mesh too!  I think this will definitely be my new 'goto' cardigan. Sunflowers

I am soooooooooo behind in my posts! I have been sick with a terrible cold, so I have been trying to take it easy, but ahhhhh! There is so much to do now! So many great releases, so little time! Trust me, I am not complaining, but I am a bit overwhelmed and so is my wallet. Anyway, one of my favorite designers, Mila Tatham of *Solidea FoliEs*, just recently released the most adorably chic shift dress. This one sleeved mesh 'shift dress' has a stunning sunflower designer, hence the name of dress..."Sunflower". As always, Mila's textures are so well done. I also must mention that part of the dress is not mesh. The majority of this dress is mesh, but the beautifully detailed sleeve cuff is a sculpted prims. I think this was great idea, since I feel some details are lost in mesh. Anyway, let me stop my blabbering, so you can go try on a demo. Here is your limo:

Man it's a HOT one! Like seven inches from the midday sun!

It still very hot here in NYC. All of the buildings, cars and people that surround me, just seem to make everything feel much more heated. So, if I can not be at the beach, a nicely air conditioned room will suffice. Speaking of hot.... Applonia Criss, of CHANTKARE, just recently released the most gorgeous mesh 'IKAT MAXI DRESS'! This piece is just perfect for Summer and is definitely a wardrobe MUST HAVE! There are many maxi dresses being sold by different designers right now, but I really love the pattern and colors that 'IKAT' comes in. Applonia always manages to use the most amazing prints and textures her mesh so beautifully. This is just one of the reasons why I love   CHANTKARE so much.
Since I am already talking about things "I LOVE", let me tell you about the latest skin from
Tricky Boucher of -Belleza-. I am sure you have already seen (or probably even wore) his latest skin, called 'Lily V1'. However, let me just say, "Lily is absolutely STUNNING!". I always love Tricky's skins, but 'Lily' is especially fabulous and definitely one of his best to date. It is refreshing to see a skin that is a bit more mature. When I say "mature", I do not mean "old looking". I just like that fact that I do not like a teenager when wearing it. Tricky manages to make his skins look very glamorous, while still maintaining a very natural and fresh face. For the 'Skin Addiction's Skin Showcase', Tricky released a special edition of 'Lily V1'. It comes in 10 beautiful limited edition make-ups and in 4 lovely skin tones. It also comes hairbase and cleavage options too. Like all of Tricky's skins, you can buy single make-ups or a fatpack of 'Lily V1 Special Edition'. I would go for the whole fatpack, since it will only be sold for this event.
