New Shapes from 'Cigars & Teacups'

Budding shape designer, Layla St. James, just opened a brand new store with her debut shapes. This store is aslo known as 'Cigars & Teacups'. I haven't done a shape review in a very long time, but it was definitely fun to try a new avi on for size. This was especially interesting, since this came along right after Strawberry Singh encouraged her readers to post their personal shape digits on Flickr. Anyway, Layla's shapes are for people who want a more realisitic shape. Her shapes vary from thin to curvy and has something for just about every ethnicity. Not to mention thather shapes are uber cute!
I decided to try two shapes. Oni and Anya. Oni is definitely cute with Caucasian features. She is quite curvy and is definitely sexy. Plus, her shape goes beautifully with LAQ skin.....

Ekilem Melodie has just released a few new lines of absolutely stunning skins, so stayed tuned for the reviews. The first one I have to show is called 'Ales'. Her skin tone is a bit more tan than most -MonS- skin lines, which I love! Plus, it's perfect for the warmer weather and the wardrobe that go with it. 'Ales' eyes are also a bit rounder than previous versions and with gorgeous 'cat eye' lined eyes The shadow is soft luminous and the lips are delicate, pouty and absolutely kissable. The latest from TRUTH!

Truth Hawks really outdid himself with his latest creations. Both styles are absolutely beautiful and unique. The first style, 'Kaelyn', is long, layered and absolutely delicious! She was also named after SL blogger, 'Kaelyn Alecto'. Kaelyn had jokingly asked Truth (on his flickr page) when he was going to name a style after her Truth happily agreed! A couple days later, Kaelyn's namesake was revealed! If I could have any style named after me, I think this would be it! Project Fur Japan!

I have been really taken by all the support generated by SL's fashion industry, in order to help fund relief efforts in Japan. In the midst of all this crisis, it is often easy to forget about all the animals who were afflicted by this disaster. So, suffice it say, I was overjoyed to find that SL's fashion industry had come to rescue in  hope to raise money to help all the innocent animals in need of help. This is also known as 'Project Fur Japan'. Just about every designer you can think of is participating in this event and donating 100% of their funds, from exclusive creations, to this charity. New Releases from Amacci Hair!

Carina Larsen just released a bunch of gorgeous new hair styles just in time for Spring. What I love most about her latest releases, are all the 'hat styles'. Not only are the hats awesome, but each part is texture/color change. Needless to say, this makes the combinations and styling options almost limitless! You can also opt to wear the hair with or without that hat. You can even wear the hat with a completely different style hair too. Carina definitely does not leave me wanting for more wear options. All of her creations are so fabulous that I don't know where to start. Well, I guess I do have one style that I find extra special and her name is 'Tracy'. 'Tracy' is wide brimmed straw hat with a hole at the top for the ponytail hairstyle. She is fabulous! As I mentioned before, the hat is color/texture change, so you can match it with anything in your Spring wardrobe....

I have another uber fab 'hat style', called 'Hannah', but she has a low ponytail topped off with a cool fedora. Like all the other hats, this is color/texture change. I was actually able to match it perfectly to my blazer. Love it!

Now, I have couple of 'non-hat styles' to show you. They are actually rather long, straight and thick. Carina creates wonderful textures for her hair. They have the 'flexi' for movement, but not too much. I think we have all seen hair with too much 'flexi' and it just looks greasy. Carina manages to find a prefect balance between sculpted prims for hold and flexi-prims for movement. A prime example of this would be with her latest style, called 'Emilia'. She has a coy look with a sexy side part and is definitely a must have!

If you like 'Emila' then you will definitely love 'Amita'. Instead of a side part, she has bangs with a bit of fringe. Her hair is slight tousled and place over the shouler and around the back of the neck, Simply Stunning!
