Space Cadet

Seems like forever since I wrote my last post. RL has been crazy with major snow storms, power outages and even a car accident. So, suffice it to say, it is nice to have time to escape to SL.
A new round Collabor88 is here and it is amazing as always! This round actually has two themes - 'Collabor88 Prom with a Supernova theme'. Basically, Collabor88 designers were encouraged to pair up with another designer (aka Prom Date) and create a fabulous Collabor88 collaboration.Many of the Collabor88designers also made beautiful event exclusives on their own as well...

To be honest, I was a bit worried about the theme, since it features such bright colors (ie, purple, teal, green, blue, red, gold and silver) and some seriously bold styles. I normally wear neutral tones and more understated looks. However, I liked the fact that it forced me to go outside my comfort zone and play with all of these amazing creations. Maylee Oh of The Secret Store, really outdid herself with this awesome Aerolite Jacket and Balloon Shorts. Both pieces are beautifully made and a lot of fun to wear. I also adore the way Maylee truly captured the whole feel and look of this outer-space theme. This is one outfit that you simply must demo!

Another one of my favorite items from this round of Collabor88 are these gorgeous Lunar Ankle Boots from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice. They are seriously sexy and come in ton of brilliant colors!

The stunning skin that I am wearing is also a Collabor88 exclusive from aida Ewing of -Glam Affair-. It is brand new skin, called Sylvia and comes the America skin tone. aida took a different approach with her skin options for Sylvia. She created a base skin with just the brow colors embedded into it (8 different brow colors and a no brow option) and put all the different options on tattoo layers. Here are all the different options: 3 lip styles, 3 nose styles, 4 cheek styles, 8 eye make-ups, 3 lipstick styles (8 colors per style), 4 brow styles (8 brow colors per style) and mole options! This way, you can customize the skin any way you choose by mixing and matching tattoo layers. The looks are practically endless! This is definitely one skin that you do not want miss!

To top of my look, I am wearing different pieces of fabulous jewelry, which were created by  LaGyo, Maxi Gossamer, Noodles and PILOT, and can all be found out Collabor88!
Every space cadet needs a RAYGUN! This particular raygun is an awesome collaborative item from ~silentsparrow~ & Schadenfreude for Collabor88. It comes with a color change HUD and makes cool sounds too!
I only used Collabor88 exclusives for the background decor. These super cute space pigs are actually Astropork Lights from the uber talented Anya Ohmai of !Ohmai. I modified them so the post does not show, since I wanted floating pigs for he background.
The Centauri Space Pod in the background is from Barnsworth Anubis. He has a ground and skybox version at Collabor88. I modified the ground version for the photo by making it much smaller.
This stunning asymmetrical blunt cut (aka Lazy Summer Days) that I am wearing is from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile and is not a Collabor88 exclusive. However, is it a must have and is also new, so make sure you demo it!

Last Day For November's Collabor88

It is the last day for the November cycle of Collabor88! This was an AMAZING cycle with tons of brilliant event exclusives. I figured (as always) that I would show a few more MUST have items before the cycle comes to close. I just want to make sure that everyone grabbed these items or will get a chance to pick them up today...

Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice went all out for this cycle for Collabor88! The minimalist and sleek Lako Jacket, Metro Cropped Pants and Kiki Hair, which I wearing in the following 2 images, were all created by her! Sissy even managed to render some super stylish oxford shoes for this round as well (these will be shown in an upcoming post).

This outfit alone is amazing! And this hair? OMG! I am in love with this chic short cut. Sissy's talents are unlimited! You definitely will want to snatch these pieces up at Collabor88 before it ends!

Maxi Gossamer created this steampunk inspired necklace,aka the Clockwork Steampunk Heart, for November's Collabor88. Maxi has such a great eye for detail and has created some of the best jewelry and accessories on the grid to date. The necklace is available in silver or gold and also in comes in a long and short length. 

The stunning skin I am wearing is the latest from Shyla Diggs of -Belleza-! She created this beautiful new skin, which is called Tara, for The Arcade. All of the make-ups are really lovely, so make sure you try your luck!

Maylee Oh of The Secret Store created this fabulous Short Sleeve Sweater for November's Collabor88. Maylee can never do any wrong. She always creates the most perfect pieces! This sweater comes in a wide variety of cozy neutral tones that will mix with just about anything in your wardrobe.These TO DIE FOR boots (aka Fowler Laced- Up Boots) that I wearing in the above image are another November Collabor88 exclusive! They were made by the super talented suetabulous Yootz of Beetlebones and are just too gorgeous words! 

The incredible black leather blag and necklace were created by the always brilliant Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. These are both part of her uber trendy Mariel Collection for The Arcade. Please make sure you try your luck, because each piece of the collection is definite win! 

Speaking of The Arcade, my gorgeous hair and skin are also from the latest round! The hair is called, Temptation and was created by Bubbles Clawtooth of Clawtooth. The skin is called, Blair and was made by by Nina Helix of Birdy Skins. 

Ahh! I almost forgot! My favorite eye guy, Ikon Innovia of IKON, finally released his first mesh eyes for this month's FaMESHed! These long awaited mesh eyes are absolutely gorgeous! To be honest, I actually have never tried mesh eyes before. I have always adored Ikon's eyes and just did not see the need for them. I also had yet to come across a pair eyes (mesh or no mesh) that could even compare to the quality of IKON eyes. So, suffice it to say, I decided to wait until he created a pair. It was definitely worth the wait! These Spectral Eyes are STUNNING! They come in every color imaginable and only cost 150L per pair. Each pair includes: 4 different eye sizes (can be worn without the mesh attachments too), a eye fitting guide, mesh eye attachments and a HUD. The HUD allows for a perfect fit in a matter of seconds. You can easily change the overall size of the eye or just the iris and pupil, you can rotate the eye's texture, add glow and add brightness, I really love the precise fit and control that the HUD gives you. They make Ikon's eyes that much more amazing! You really must try these  ASAP!

Last Day For July Collabor88!

When I think of the typical cottage in SL, I envision a small and cozy one bedroom home. So, when I went to go rez this 'lakeside cottage' from Barnesworth Anubis, I did not expect much different. To my surprise, this gorgeous 'lakeside cottage' is anything but small and cozy. It is HUGE! It is has 3 roomy bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, a stunning living room and tons of windows that bathe the home in light! I actually ran out of prims, before I could fully decorate this home. But then again, my homestead never has enough prims. This 'lakeside cottage' is a July Collabor88 exclusive, so you will want to run an grab it before it is gone at 11:59 pm today!

I chose to decorate the living room with a beautiful 'deconstructed living room' set from Cheeky Pea. I also used recent releases from {what next} as well. These are obviously two of my favorite home decor designers in SL. 

I also had some items left over from 'The Home Show' (which is sadly now over) created by !! Follow US !! and ~BAZAR~, which I had not gotten a chance to blog yet....

I wanted to save the best for last.... The bedroom! All of the furniture and decorations are from warehousefifteendesigns Resident of Apple Fall and are July Collabor88 exclusives! The details are so lovely and charming. I am in seriously in LOVE with this whole set!

Ice Cream and Sunshine

I'm sorry that I have not been around much, but I have been away with limited internet access. Not to mention that my laptop has been dying. Anyway, let me make this post quick. LOL. There have been so many releases for Summer and all the SL events this Season. One of favorite new releases is this gorgeous 'Hina Maxi Dress' from Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice. This is the quintessential Summer maxi dress, which is FaMESHed exclusive this month. It comes in ton of cool and yummy colors too, so be sure to grab it!

If you notice in the background, I am posing in front of another one of Winter Thorn's (of {what next}) awesome new creations for The Garden. It is the 'Sandbridge Ice Cream Cart'! Just touch it and menu with a plethora of mouth watering ice cream flavors comes up for your virtual enjoyment. Btw, the pier I am parading around on is another Garden exclusive from Barnesworth Anubis. It is called the "Seaside Pier" and can be rezzed as whole pier or you can build it yourself. He gives you all the different parts you will need, as well as different sizes too. It can be as small or as big as you desire! The Garden is one event that home decor enthusiasts definitely can not miss!

Summerfest'13 is still going on and there are so many wonderful creators to be found here. -Belleza-  is one of these fabulous creators and they have released the most lovely skin for this event. Her name is "Ashley" and she is a freckle faced Summerfest'13 exclusive. She is available in two beautiful make-ups and all skin tones. You simply must DEMO her now!
Truth Hawks released some more delightful styles for Summer as well. I really adore this long wavy style, called "Wanda". I wish my RL hair stayed this smooth and sleek in the hot and humid weather.

Ok, I am sure notice that the tone, colors and saturation of my images all vary from one picture to next. I was fooling around with different styles, because I was bored. I hope it is not too confusing, but please make sure you check-out all the colors for yourself. 

Caelan Hancroft is quickly becoming one of my most favorite jewelry designers in SL. Her mesh work and textures are just brilliant! I am always so excited to see what she comes up with next! For this post, I am wearing her 'Kasbah' necklace, cuff and rings. One of the things I like best about Caelan's jewels, besides their obvious quality, is that they are texture-change via pop-up menu. This makes it possible to style her creations with just about anything! 'Kasbah' is FaMESHed exclusive this month, so be sure to grab it!
