La Legere

 Aeon Perian, even though I only become acquainted with his designs fairly recently, is one of favorite SL designers. His imagination has no limits! He can go from avant garde to subdued 'city chic', while still maintaining his amazing sense of style and eye for detail. Aeon's use of patterns and textures has truly impressed me. He can make two opposing forces, look like they were made for one another. This aspect of his work, is very apparent in his latest mesh dress, called 'La Legere'. This dress is STUNNING and a definite Spring MUST have! I highly suggest you go down and see all the brilliant patterns and colors in comes in for yourself. However, it is rigged mesh, so make sure you try a demo first. Just in case you do not know, rigged mesh can not be modified. I also must mention that Lara Hurley just released another fabulous new skin, called 'Kae'. Like all her skins, 'Kae' is comes in soft make-ups and luminous skin tones. Plus, Lara gives you a ton of extra lip and eye make-ups for unlimited looks. I have yet to wear a skin from Lara that doesn't make my avatar look more than amazing. Out of Control

I am a bit shaky at the moment. These last few weeks have been BADDDDDD!!! And if that is not enough, I just got some more awful news. I feel sick and what to cry, but I just can't move. And, when I should be convalescing, I am still determined to post pics which should have been blogged yesterday. They were ready yesterday, but I guess life was getting in the way again. So, let me stop my whining and talk about my 'Look'. which is mostly comprised of very recent releases It all started with this amazing hair from Sebastien Aries of [Shag]. This hair is just too incredible words! Sebastien really outdid himself with this style (aka Pussy Galore). Normally, you see me in light browns and dark blonde tones, but this red was just screaming "WEAR ME"! Now, unfortunately, this was a Project Themeory exclusive, but I am sure you can buy the regular colors and packs in the stores. And, if you can't yet, I am almost positive you will be. I mean, it would be shame to limit this hair to just one weekend.
Speaking of weekend deals, we have a brilliant new mesh design from Maylee Oh of 'The Secret Store'. The 'Shortest Blazer', which was a 'Lazy Sunday' exclusive,  is the perfect Spring staple and I am sure there are more to come. After a brief break, Maylee Oh has started creating again. I am hoping to see a beautiful 'Spring Collection' from her, so I will keep my fingers crossed for that!
I have another amazing headpiece from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. This unique piece is called 'Taxidermy' and can be found at EPOCH Legends. Gyo also just released a gorgeous new rigged mesh mini, called 'Kaleidoscope'. It comes in 6 color/textures and in 4 different sizes. Make sure you try on a demo before buying!!! Yellow Buttercup...

I have been a bit "under-the-weather", so I have been working on this post in bit and pieces over the last day. It should have been posted last night, but I had no energy to finish my last couple of pics or even attempt editing. *Laughs* Anyway, if you read my blog or know me, then you will also know that I have started to fall in love with bright colors. You know, like yellow, orange, etc... I am a native Manhattanite, who loves her black and neutral tones, when it comes to clothes. However, something crazy has been happening to me and I can't get enough of these brilliant shades. Now, this trend has not yet infiltrated my RL, except for bright splashes of colors found on choice accessories. But, I have definitely been living out this obsession in my SL. So, now that I have accrued so much yellow, I figured I would devote a post to it. You may want to wear your sunglasses, but I tried to tone it down. It's been a long time since I have done a 'Look of the Day', but I really needed to do one to get back on track. Nothing was working right in SL today. First I couldn't TP anywhere and then I couldn't attach any prims. Luckily, I am far from homeless in SL or I would have been walking around with one boot on or with ugly bare avi feet. Actually, add a beat-up shopping cart and that might work. Hmm.... Okay, let's be real.... In the whole scheme of things, this is all trivial and silly stuff. However, when you have deadlines and gorgeous new stuff to blog, it can be a huge pain in the tush. So, with that said, I have been dying to blog this 'SassyDress', created by Fashionboi Landar of  HouseOfFox. What makes this dress is even more fab, is that you can pick it up for almost nothing at 'The Fashion Garret' ( around $70L, but don't quote me)! The only difficulty I had was with the styling. I had seen this dress posted on so many blogs and flickr that the options were becoming less available.There were many ways that I wanted to style this dress that were already done. Applonia Criss has alaso been extremely busy lately, creating her lovely 'to-die-for' designs as well. I just love her adeptly scuplted prims that make-up her gorgeous  creations. Her 'MY COUSIN MARIE DRESS' is a perfect example of this talent. I just love the love cut top that is contrasted by a nice full skirt. I also adore the retro feel and brillant textures. I haven't been on SL as much as I usually am  due to RL circumstances.So, I apologize for being behind. Anyway, I have a  couple of gorgeous pieces from the fairly new brand Fleshtone. If you haven't heard by now, Fleshtone is an ingenious merger between House of Fox designer, Stevenzuuh GossipGirl, and Lurani designer, Gisele Mubble. So far, the colloboration is producing fabulous results. I also couldnt resist mixing in one the laest releases from Inex Hax of Peqe. It is a gorgeous Pacific Cardigan that was orginallly released for PCF. She now has released this design for the her store in a ton of gorgeous bold colors and beautfiul textures,. Project Fur Japan!

I have been really taken by all the support generated by SL's fashion industry, in order to help fund relief efforts in Japan. In the midst of all this crisis, it is often easy to forget about all the animals who were afflicted by this disaster. So, suffice it say, I was overjoyed to find that SL's fashion industry had come to rescue in  hope to raise money to help all the innocent animals in need of help. This is also known as 'Project Fur Japan'. Just about every designer you can think of is participating in this event and donating 100% of their funds, from exclusive creations, to this charity. A few of the designers that I will be featuring in the post are: Inex Hax of Peqe;  Applonia Criss of  CHANTKARE; and  Julliette Bade & Olivia Lalonde  of  'Le Poppycock'. The latest from ~*INDIE ROSE*~

Angelina Eizenberg has created yet another gorgeous collection! I always adore Angelina's romantic and feminine pieces that throughly display all the thought and care she puts into them. I know this post is a bit late again, but better late than never. Besides, these are designs that are always worth a second a glance. With this release, Angelina created a line a carefully sculpted blouses, called the 'Satin Belt Blouse', in brilliant pastel shades (e.g. beige, pink, lavender, blue and yellow). Angelina also designed some lovely 'Floral Skirts', which match the aforementioned tops beautifully. I love the whispy and silky textures of these 'Floral Skirts'. They have a slight boho feel to them too; another definite plus!.

In contrast to light 'floral skirts', Angelina also came out with a line of full knee-length 'denim skirts'. This is definitely a refreshing alternative to all the denim minis out there. Once again, Angelina does not lose her eye for detail and renders another wonderful piece. The denim skirts; which come in dark and light washes of blue, grey and brown; also go will with the 'Satin Belt Top'. However, as you can see, I chose to show some different wear options. One thing that I have always appreciated about Angelina's clothes, is the fact that she always gives you every layer imaginable. The ways you can style her pieces are practically endless!

 Now, to top everything off, Angelina also created a line of shoes to match this collection. Her 'Stap Chunky Heels' have a bit a retro feel to them with the scalloped detailing around the back and the chunky heel. They are nicely textured in coordinating floral an denim fabrics. They are perfect! Plus, they come with a super easy to use HUD. Matching my skin tone took no more than a minute!

Once again, Angelina managed to create a fabulous and cohesive line of clothes, which are just in time for Spring. I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve for the upcoming months!
