I had gotten my first taste of Avy Fhang's designs at .:Shush:. when I was still a "noob" (I've been around for about 7 months now) and I have been infatuated with her fun and flirty pieces ever since. So, I was especially ecstatic when she gave me the opportunity to review some of her latest work. Avy has an amazing eye for detail, which shows through in her meticulously hand drawn textures. Her carefully placed highlights and bits of shading give her designs that extra feel of realism. In the first picture, I am wearing Avy's "At the shore bikini" in pink. This fabulous 2 piece come in array of delicious eye-popping colors that go perfect with this summer's vibrant color pallet. This piece also come with the uber cute "star sunglasses" and several layering options with is always a huge plus! If you want to cover-up, Avy also included the beautiful pareo (which comes with a version that does not have sunglasses on the hip) and an overlay top. One can't resist the delicate and perfectly rendered sheer fabric that this "cover-up" is made of. Simply divine. This is a definite favorite in my book!

In the second picture, I am sporting the "beach short pink & white". These shorts are the perfect length. Short enough to be very sexy, but leaves just enough to the imagination. I also love that these shorts are white, but do not lose detail. My one issue in SL, is that white just seems to glow and the features just disappear. Avy seems to have solved this problem by adeptly shading the shorts so the slightest wrinkle stands out. And the top! I am wearing the "Relaxing top transparent long" in pink. It's diaphanous texture is so light and sensual. It comes in 8 gorgeous colors with several layering options! You will see me pair this with her 'Fluffy Skirt and "Cargos" too.

I am donning Avy's "Fluffy Skirt" in dark blue in the third picture. I am in LOVE with this flowy skirt with a bohemian edge! Many times, skirts that are a bit "fluffy" tend to be a bit too "poofy" for my taste. However, Avy as usual knows just want a women want and gives it to us. The prim work is exceptional and flows with ever subtle movement. 

In the fourth picture, I am sporting the "Splatter Cargo Pants". Kierra just blogged the "Rock On" cargos, which are similar. I can seen why she likes them so much. The denim detailing and carefully sculpted cuffs are to die for! And paint splatters she adorned them with give them that extra something special. I also am loving the "Rock On" belt with the "kitchy" key chain with an 8 ball dangling from it! It's definitely an ideal touch.

In the fifth and last picture, I am wearing Avy's "Delicious Dress Green". This dress is truly delicious too! The ruffled and varied shades of green are simply yummy! Plus, you get a choice of two top options. Green and grey. I am wearing the grey in the third picture with the "Fluffy Skirt". This is a quintessential summer dress that can be worn casual with a pair of sandals or more dressy with a pair of chic stilettos.

Omg! [The Plastik] has blown us away again. Now I know this "New Release" is a bit tardy on our end, but things have been a bit crazy over at "Demented Divas HQ". When the crap hits the fan, it seems you get hit with a lot of it all at once. Luckily, these new "Ambrice Dresses" have been our silver lining on the dark cloud that has been following us. So enough whining and I'll get on with the info regarding all of this yummy goodness.

These gorgeous dresses are draped in rich and very detailed patterns. Aikea Rieko never ceases to amaze me with her beautiful hand drawn textures. She really pushes the limit's of one's imagination, since her ideas seem endless. This one dress comes in 16 awe inspiring patterns, 8 of which we are showing, that are filled with intricate paisleys, eastern influences and even a "Esher" replica! "Ambrice" also comes with 2 style options. You can opt to wear it with a corset, which is amazingly rendered with an alluringly depicted lace-up back, or without and as two piece. The back of the dress is even adorned with an adorable and very lifelike zipper! It was literally impossible to pick just one favorite pattern! They are all wearable works of art!

I am sure you have probably noticed the skin that I am wearing. By the way, this is Lila writing. *LOL* Well, the skin, also know as "Fingerprints" is a "New Release" from Aikea too. So I figured that I would use this opportunity to give you a teaser of these amazing textures. "Fingerprints" comes in 9 unique skin tones and 6 different make-ups! Each skin also comes with a set of elven ears, eyes and the "glowy" prim eye attachments". I can't get over the quality of Aikea's skin. It is flawless and luminous. She some how manages to make the face seem very soft, but very striking at the same time. Aikea's careful use of shadow and highlighting is just the perfect amount to make this one sensual and very ethereal creation. This is yet another masterpiece.

Aikea Rieko's designs just take you into a world of fantasy and myth, which is so wondrous that you never want to come back to reality. And what makes her pieces even more incredible is that they can be worn as just a regular fabulous slinky dress. Well, I wouldn't say regular, since her designs are better than that, but they can mix with just about anything in your wardrobe. Friday Mix Up! LOTD July 9th, 2010

TGIF!!!  Yay! It is Friday and the weekend is FINALLY here! And so are all the awesome SL themed sales.      
Today I decided mix things up again. I am wearing a couple of my FLF scores with a few new pieces I had acquired over the last few days. I, of course, had to show the amazing new "DungareeLongShirt" from AOHARU. Yes, I know it's been blogged to death, but I felt it deserved another showing. You have no idea how long I have been waiting to find a shirt like this in SL! I just love the "over-sized button down boyfriend shirt" look, which is cinched with an incredible brown belt. I paired the shirt with jeans from a small "new-to-me" shop, called " **Coral Chic** " I think these are new favorite jeans. Even though the shop is small, the quality is very high.
Now, I couldn't forget to mention my FLF finds. This is the icing on the cake! I grabbed this super high ponytail "do" a.k.a. "Ghost" from !lamb. I adore the retro feel and cool yet striking look. And OMG the bag! Everyone who knows me is well aware that I have a major handbag addiction. So you can only imagine how I felt when I saw this gorgeous piece from MIEL and for $50L! It has 5 different color change options, 2 wear options and a resizer too, That's like 5 bags for the price of one! Anyway, I'll stop my rambling, since there are more exciting things to come this weekend. Plus the heat is making me uber sleepy.....

SPOTLIGHT on DEAD CARROT!

Lucie Genira is one of SL's new up and coming shape designers, whose brand is also known as "Dead Carrot". She does some pretty amazing tattoos as well. If you are bored with all the perfect (not to mention unrealistic) "Barbie" and "waif-like" shapes, Lucie's shapes are the way to go! I was given one of Lucie's new shapes to test drive, which is so accurately called "Girls Dig Curves", and I was definitely in for surprise.Thank you Lucie! As you can see in the above pics, my figure has nice full bottom and very well rounded hips. The breasts are not uber huge and are the prefect size to compliment this figure. The legs are that of a real woman, shapely and not a mile long. The youthful face just pulls the whole package together, giving one a very unique and lovely look. Just so you know, all Lucie's shapes come with skin charts, so you can find the perfect skin to go with the shape of your choice. The shapes are also modifiable, which is major plus in my book!
Lucie also designs dome rather edgy tattoos, which are a refreshing change from the butterfly tramp stamps I see everywhere. In the second picture, I am wearing "Who Did A Stitch On Me?". I think the photo and name pretty much say it all, but I love the realism of her carefully placed scars. In the the third and last picture, I donned the "My Fugly Tattoo Guy" tatt. You have got to adore that name! The jacket style tattoo with it's tribal-like print is extremely well executed and not to mention very cool to look to at.
Lucie has a great talent and fabulous sense of humor, which shine through in work. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next! Btw, she just released an awesome new shape called "Cicatrix", which is in her store now! So hurry up and check out the rest of her amazing creations. The taxi is waiting:

New Finds From "THE DRESSING ROOM"

Yay! New goods from "The Dressing Room"! I always get excited wondering what fabulous pieces the designers will have waiting for us....and at a seriously discounted price to top it off! High quality designers and great prices. What more could a girl ask for?
Well, among many other things, I pick-ed up this amazing skin from Tuli, called "Gina". The creamy skin and pouty lips just elicit pure sexiness. The colors are fairly neutral, so it's the perfect compliment to any summer wardrobe. I also managed to grab the fabulous "ANITA" high-waisted nude skirt from R.icielli. I just love how this skirt hugs my curves and is cinched with a gorgeous black belt. YUMMY! Now, one of my favorite finds was this amazing "Black Chic" hat, which is from glow studio. It's the ideal piece to give one's outfit a bit of sass.

This is the second installation of our *BOOM* review. Unfortunately, toward the end of our last one, we encountered some technically difficulties. So here we are again, showing some more amazing pieces from designer "Aranel Ah"! In the top picture, Kierra and I are wearing two very hot mini-dresses. Of course my "SKREAM" mini-dress is a bit more daring than Kierra's "Call Me Baby" mini-dress, which is a slightly more modest. I just love the way my uber little black dress fits in all the right places. The "oh so low" open back, displays the perfect amount of curve appeal. I just adore the fine detailing of the little prim bow in the back. Kierra's is wearing a soft cashmere dress with a turtleneck top. You have got to love how it accentuates her curves without being too obvious. BTW, don't call Kierra "Baby" ::Giggles::

In the middle picture, our look is definitely a bit more casual. Perfect for shopping or going out dancing at a club. We both chose "Hope's Tank", which is a cute and flirty little top that will compliment any woman's summer wardrobe. I love the gorgeous detailing that makes this top so appealing. I paired this top with a pair of the "Getting Low" jeans. They certainly are low too, but not drastically so. I really like how "Boom's" clothes can be daring and sexy, but not trashy. Analeh definitely has an eye for this type of styling and surely does it right. Kierra, is also wearing another fairly low pair of pants as well. The "Pantime Pants" have a more refined texture and a generous flared leg.

In the bottom and final picture, it is Kierra alone, I'm probably back on the beach sunning myself. *LOL* She is wearing an outfit with a real nautical feel to it. The "Seaman" pants live right up to their name with the ultra flared leg. She also chose to wear the "Cashmere" top, which is very similar to the "Call Me Baby" dress, she is showing up top. This top has an delicious texture, that really hugs one bust line. The delicate shadows and highlights give it that extra bit of realism that we all love so much. I am truly in LOOOOVVVE with "Truth's" latest 3 releases: "BoHo", "Nicola" and "Peyton". The bohemian styling and whimsical feel are perfect for summer! These 3 styles just make me want to take off my shoes and run barefoot through a field of wild flowers, while trying to imagine what it would be like to be alive at "Woodstock".

The fist style, "BoHo", really lives up to it's name. The long beautiful flowing locks, which are adorned with a headband of beads, scream "late 60's". BoHo is a "must wear" with all the new bohemian fashions that are being released in SL. Btw, the beads come with 4 different color choices, or you can opt not to wear the beads at all.

The second style, "Nicola". is a shorter style that frames the face quite nicely with gorgeous braids in the front. The delicate tendrils falling to the side, have a pixie-like quality to it. Where are a pair of wings when you need them?

"Peyton", which is last but certainly not least, is the most modern of the 3 styles. It's texture is composed of long flowy prims that gracefully move with your body. "Peyton" is a style which will compliment almost any outfit. I wonder what Truth Hawk's has coming up next?

Yay! I am feeling good, because I was lucky enough to get my hands on these new tops and hotpants from "KHUSH". Thank you Liess! These cute and sassy separates are perfect for lounging around on a hot summer day. In the first picture I am wearing the adorable "Cloe" tank with either "Dancefloor Loover" or "I'm Your Commander" written on them. They also come in a variety of colors, such as black, pink and blue.

In the second picture, I am wearing the uber-cute "Gaby" top. The sexy unbuttoned top and pretty floral detailing go prefect with jeans, a mini or the "Leia" hotpants that I chose. These cheeky hotpants can be worn with the word "Naughty" written on the behind or just plain. I guess it all depends on your mood. I'm wearing the "Naughty" ones...... ::Wink::

In the last picture, I chose to wear the "Yasmin" top. This top comes with two different style options. You can wear it with or with or with out the kini top. This top also comes in quite a few color options, such black, pink and green. I paired this super-daring top with "KHUSH'S" WS hotpants. Like the "Leia", these also have cute lettering options on the behind. You can choose, "Angel", "3" or just wear them plain. Once again, it all depends on how you are feeling.

Uk Couture

I know it's summer, but these outfits from "UK Couture" gave us very autumn-like feel. I know it's hard to imagine it's autumn when I am writing this post in 90 degree weather, but one can dream... To further the feel of the season, Kierra and I took a trip to the sim "Pixel Dreams", which is one of the most magical places I have found in SL as yet.

In the top picture, I am wearing a crisp white blouse with beautifully sculpted collar and sleeves. The top is paired with some rough and torn textured jeans, which are perfect for that autumn walk through the fields. The set is complimented with a very well designed black leather belt. I usually have a problem with sizing in regard to most of the belts that I find in SL. They are always too big and never shrink quite small enough. I had to make absolutely no adjustments with this belt, which was definitely nice surprise. If you need to make it larger, I do believe there is a resize option built into the belt.

In the bottom two pictures, Kierra is a wearing a gorgeous and sexy jacket, which drapes the body beautifully. The detailing is really quite exquisite. The jacket comes with daring pair of low cut jeans, which hugs the curves of any woman's body just the right way. UK Couture is a new found gem for me and I am very impressed by their high quality designs and easy fit. So, if you haven't been to UK Couture yet, or at least in awhile, please do yourself a favor and take the limo provided to see their latest releases.

London Calling

I have been going through a retro 60's phase as of late. So on one of many trips to "Pink Outfitters", I found this great tube dress. The cinched waist paired with the leggings gives the outfit a more modern feel. I have always loved London Dailey's uses of textures and classic designs. This is yet another amazing piece that is now added to my ever expanding collection.

Now nothing says "early sixties"like the "beehive hairstyle" does. This is exactly what "Tina", Truth Hawks's latest release, reminds me of. Even though I had previously blogged this hairstyle, I felt it deserved another mention. I love how Truth's signature hair texture is so so soft and fluid and not stiff and static, like I find with so many hairstyles in SL.

I'm In Haven!

I had always associated Haven Designs with costumes and more fantasy related apparel (i.e. Gorean). Recently, while looking around the store, I noticed Haven had an amazing collection of casual and more formal attire. Delora Starbrook's hand drawn textures and acute eye for detail show through in her designs. Her clothes hug the curves of a woman's body in just the right places, leaving one a sexy and beautiful fit.
In the top pic, I am wearing her "Sasha Bandage Dress", which is the perfect addition to any woman's little dress wardrobe. It could be paired with a pair of sleek heels for a night on the town or with just sandles for a more casual look. In the bottom pic, I am wearing Delora's "Sunny Tank Top" and "Cece Capri Pants". The top has a vibrant color and gorgeous floral detailing and the bottoms have a rich sensual texture, which are nicely accentuated with a gold braided trim. The whole outfit has a nice exotic feel, which is a must have for steamy summer days and nights. If you haven't checked out Haven Designs, do yourself a favor and see all the treasures the await you. I paired the bottom outfit with the "Sam bare feet", which is an amazing and fairly new release from KayLeigh MacMillin. The beautifully sculpted prim feet are summer must and staple for any wardrobe. The feet with an easy to use HUD, which makes finding your skin shade very easy. She also gives you four choices for the jewelry metal. And choices for them gems. You can also opt not to wear the jewelry as well. I also forgot to mention that you have choice colors for the toenails. I am wearing the anklet w/ diamonds and one ruby in the right toe ring. the jewels are set in a warm gold. Absolutely fabulous!
