Last Day for December's Arcade and Goodbye to Firestorm Beta!

I had finally got around to downloading the new Firestorm Beta earlier this month and was so excited to use it! Unfortunately, it became impossible to use. I have a great ASUS gaming laptop with an awesome NVIDIA graphic card, so I did not think I would have any problems. These are some of the issues I had experienced: very slow performance, crashing when inventory half way loaded, video card driver crashes when taking pics, etc... I am sure my performance would be much faster if shadows and the advanced lighting mode were not in use or if I did not take such large pictures, but I am usually only on to take pics! It was making blogging virtually impossible for me. I can be rather stubborn and determined, but this was making my whole SL experience NOT fun and unproductive. So this is my last post using Firestorm Beta and I am reverting back to the old Firestorm until the bugs are worked out. I hope this is not the price I will have to pay in order to use anything "Materials Ready". FYI: This is just my personal experience using the aforementioned viewer. Please do not let my experience deter you from trying it out

The main reason I was so persistent in using Firestorm Beta for the above image, is because I wanted to show off the amazing materials ready detail on this awesome Oh Deer Igloo from FrankLee Anatra of {what next}. It is just one of the many different igloos that you can win from their Arcade gacha! Each Igloo has it's own theme, which includes: a sled, sleeping bag in igloo, tree lights and a mailbox (RARES). There are also several couples and singles animations in and outside the igloo! So make sure you try your luck!

I am also in love with these uber cute penguins from the talented Aime Takaaki of *MishMish*. These guys are also an Arcade gacha exclusive that you simply can not pass up!

The gorgeous hooded winter dress actually comes with the hair! This is a special Arcade exclusive from Kavar Cleanslate of Exile and is called, First Snow! Each gacha try allows you to win one of 15 hair color packs and also a HUD with 10 different colors for the dress! There is a special RARE HUD that has several dress colors in a sparkle texture too! I was being a bit boring for this post, since I loved this shade of cream sans sparkles. 

I nearly fell over when I saw this beautiful Suede Muff from Maylee Oh of The Secret Store! And Guess What? It is FREE! Well, if you can find it... It is one of the many amazing hunt items that you can find at Inspiration Point's Christmas Hunt. All of Inspiration Point's designers are taking part in this awesome hunt. This includes: The Secret Store, Tee*fy/LaViere, KIRIN and HOUSE of FOX. All you have to do, after TPing to the landing point, is touch the small hunt sign. After you touch the hunt sign, you should receive a folder with a hunt HUD and hunt map. Both the hunt HUD and map show where the hunt items are located. You can find hunt items hidden in a tiny green Christmas Tree. So Happy Hunting! This hunt ends on the 31st of December, so hurry over there, if you haven't already!

You also need to run over and grab this seriously pretty snowflake adorned necklace from Cae. This all mesh necklace is called, Let It Snow, and you can change the texture (silver and gold) of all it's components via HUD. I sincerely adore Caelan Hancroft's beautifully and delicately rendered jewelry. It always adds the perfect touch to any outfit.

 Chandra Masala (of Bilo) is quickly becoming very well known for her original and very beautiful mesh creations. I am a bit tired at the moment, becuase I spent hours editing these pics and I am not that happy with them.*laughs* If I had I time, I would do these over, but I don't. So, please forgive my over-worked look. However, the clothes definitely outshine my pics. Mimikri Kit's creations have the ability to bring style and general fabulousity to any pic. The first two pieces that I have for you are meant to be worn together. However, you can wear them separately too. They are sold as separates as well, but I figured I would feature them in one style, since they are Mimikri's latest release. These lovely creations would also be known as the ' Luca Dress in avocado & LucaPython Jacket in camouflage'. They come in a ton of other amazing colors as well. It's almost impossible to pick a favorite. I am also showing a creation that is absolutely gorgeous, but not a recent release. Mimikri's creations are so well rendered and truly classic pieces that will add instant style to any girl's inventory. Applonia Criss just came put with an amazing new creations, which is also known as the 'GEENA HEAD SCARF HAT'. Scarf hats are going to big this summer and also bring a bit of the exotic glamour to one's wardrobe. it is seriously hard not to feel like a diva when wearing such a beautiful piece.  I also wanted to showcase some amazing accessories, created by Emily Kaestner of [croire].  These aren't a part of CHIC Limited, but I felt they went well with this dress and they will only be available until the end of the day. This is my fault for not knowing this and would probably not have known, if I hadn't been down [croire] late last night. Just so you know, Emily does have some awesome leggings available at CHIC limited, which were also previously posted.

As you can see, Emily created a line of 'Olive Floral' necklaces and clutches. They come in 3 different metals: silver, gold and gun metal. And the clutch can be held in the hand or on the shoulder with an added strap (see top {SMS} photo). I just adore the faded and antiquated look of these pieces. Definitely a MUST have. I highly suggest taking a trip down to [croire], becuase you will find that there is a little of everything there. Emily is a woman of many talents and it certainly shows. A Conductor With Nowhere To Go.....

 Aranel Ah finally released a whole line of 'The Conductor Jackets' and coordinating 'High Hot Pants' in just about every color under the rainbow. I had fallen in love with these 2 pieces several months back, when she had created them as a 'Project Themeory Exclusive'. And, to top this whole look off, Aranel also created a line of 'Slim Scarves'. Now of course, you can wear these pieces in any way  you like, especially since you have tons of layering and attachment options. More Awesome Goodness from TRUTH!

Even with the Holidays right around the corner, Truth Hawks still manages to keep he is stride and create even more awesome styles. This week he released two gorgeous creations. First, and definitely my favorite, is 'Ramona'. I just adore her long curly tendrils and side swept bangs. Plus, to top if off, she has an adorable color change headband with 21 colors to choose from. 'Ramona' comes in a plain version and a streaked version with 63 color options!

Now, there is 'Quinn' and she is just as gorgeous. She has the classic '80's side-ponytail', but besides that, there is nothing retro about her. Her curly hair and whispy locks are truly captivating. And, if that isn't enough for you, she also has a super cute color change headband with 18 color choices. You can even opt to go without it and just have strand of hair secure the ponytail. As usual, 'Quinn' comes in a plain or streaked version with 63 color options. Definitely another WIN!

'The Daringly Sweater' from E! Eclectic Apparel

LOTD - 12.1.10 feat. Maitreya

Just a quick LOTD..... So, I am in LOVE with these new 'Moxie' shoes created by Onyx LeShelle. Not only is it a cute wedge, but the sexy 'over-the-knee' socks are built in to the shoe too and with color/ texture change options. If that isn't enough, you have three wear options for the socks as well. You can wear an 'ankle' version, the 'over-the-knee' version, or both together. Definitely a MUST have for the winter season. Now, since I am known to create looks around my shoes, this is exactly what I did. While I was at Maitreya, I picked-up a few of these awesome 'Savoir Tops', which I know I will be getting a lot of use out of over the winter. I paired the top with a uber cute crocheted 'Bean Skirt' from CONCRETE FLOWERS. I have had this piece from Lynaja Bade for a little while now and have been looking for an excuse to blog it.
