Swan Lake

Unless you have been hiding under a virtual rock, then you already know that The Arcade Gacha Event is here again and well underway! As always, all of the designers who are participating in this awesome event have managed to come up with the most brilliant creations (more like, "brilliant ways to entice us part with tons of lindens"s..lol)! The seriously talented Charming Meiler of ::{u.f.o}:: has created one of my favorite gacha collections to date for this round, which is called Swan Lake, Act 1.

I don't know about you, but when I was little I wanted to be a ballerina when I grew-up. I loved everything that had to do with ballet, from toe shoes to tutus. This is what Charming managed to re-create for me with her beautifully crafted mesh collection. It is not only made-up of beautiful tutus and ballet shoes (with a texture change HUD), but also wonderful home decor pieces and accessories. Elegant mannequins, retro princess phones and ballet shoe wall ornaments, which all come in a vast array of in pretty pastel colors. 

This is one gacha collection that you will definitely want to try your luck with!

Speaking of amazing Arcade collections, aida Ewing of Glam Affair created two new skins for this round of The Arcade. The skins are called Liv and Livvy and are both absolutely stunning! For this post, I chose to wear Liv. Both skins come in 10 gorgeous make-ups and three lovely skin tones (Arctic, Asia and India). There is even a RARE version in bare, so make sure you play to win all!

Mr. Truth Hawks is also participating in this round of The Arcade (as if you didn't already know). He created this fabulous hair style, called Sakura. Sakura comes in two styles - one side bun or a bun on each side. You can also win flowers and gummy bears in different colors  that can be worn in  this uber cute do.

Way Too Slow!

I think the slowest blogger of the year award goes to me! Well at least for the last few months. RL has been so crazy that I barely have time to get to get to my laptop. My most recent blogging pattern has been this: log, wait for massive inventory load, search for outfit, find pose, choose WL, snap pic and then fall asleep on my keyboard. I log in the next day and it goes like it: log, wait for even more massive inventory load, hold the first person who IMs me hostage via talking too much, find a pose, find saved WL, snap pic, open PS and fall sleep while editing. Then if all goes right, maybe I can write a post and upload my images to Flickr without a problem the next day. Anyway, I will stop complaining.

Since Thanksgiving is here, I just want to thank all the people who have put up with me. I know I can be a major pain in the ass, who talks way too much and takes forever to post. I think being a friend of mine should guarantee sainthood. LOL. 

 Now, I am running late as usual, so I will try to make the rest of this post brief. I have some amazing Collabor88 and Shoetopia 2013 exclusives to show you!

First, this current round of Collabor88 is freaking AMAZING! When I found out the theme was going to be Industrial and in  of gunmetal grey, copper orange, dark browns and shades of tan, I really was no quite sure what to expect. Let's face it, the last few rounds of Collabor88 have been incredible, so how much better can it get? Well, the Collabor88 designers have managed to outdo themselves again with the most fabulous event exclusives! One of my all time favorite Collabor88 pieces, is this month's Misaku Chest Piece from Gyorgyna Larnia of LaGyo. It is to die for! You can really see all the time and care she put into making it.The mesh detailing and textures are so lovely! Plus, it comes with the most gorgeous matching leather bangles and a headpiece too. Btw, the head piece and chest piece are both color change via HUD, which allows endless wear options!

Harry Hyx of ISON is another HUGE favorite of mine for both this month's Collabor88 and Shoetopia! He created this stunning bronze 'Leather Shape Corset' and black 'Side Ruffle Skirt'. I knew Harry would pull off the industrial theme with perfection, given his consistent use of both structured and minimalist designs. His looks are always sexy and feminine without going overboard. 

And his shoes! 

Side note: OMG! I am going to very busy the next few days, while attempting to finish blogging all these wonderful creations from Shoetopia 2013. This event is shoe lovers dream come true. Sophia Harlow (I almost wrote "Shoephia"... I know stupid) and Anessa Stine, as well as their hard working team, did a phenomenal job setting up my latest favorite event. Harry created three wonderful SHOETOPIA executives. If you look at the above picture (from left to right), I will briefly give you some details regarding Harry Hyx's shoes. It is obvious that all 3 pairs they are all stunning and beautifully rendered, so I don't have to tell you that (even though I just did :p). The first pair of shoes from ISON, are the Metal Plate Booties. The name pretty much says it all. They are a pair of gorgeous leather leather ankle boots with a metal toe plate. They are available in 9 yummy colors too (eggplant, black, brown, white, gray, navy, sand, teal, and tan). The second and middle pair, are rightly called, Pointy Strap Heels. They are a super strappy, sexy and pointy pair of heels that were created to be worn with the Slink mesh feet (medium height). I seriously love shoes that are made to be worn with Slink's mesh feet. Slink's new avatar enhancement system, makes skin matching easy and perfect (although the new HUDs , which house all the different skin creator's skin tones in their database, are awesome too)! So that in itself makes these shoes fabulous, not to mention their exquisite design. Speaking of Slink, stay tuned for an upcoming post with their Shoetopia exclusives too! These heels are available in 8 different colors (black, brown, white, cobalt, gray, tan, sand and red). The third and last pair shoes, aka the Two Tone Wedge, are probably my favorite out of the three. I love the mix of the suede and leather. These were also created to be worn with Slink's mesh feet (medium height). These shoes come in a choice of 6 colors (black, brown, tan, sand, white and gray). So do yourself a favor and get your butt over SHOETOPIA before it ends on the 30th!. 

 I know this post is running long, but I have to mention and skin and hair that I am wearing in the first 2 pictures. The skin is a Chapter Four exclusive (or was..I think I got the dates screwed-up). If it is over, sincerely apologize about this and hope that it will be available in the mainstore. The skin is called Imogen was created by Nina Helix of Birdy Skins (Alchemy Skins too) and is so lovely. I think I am going to have to declare Nina as one of my top 4 skin creators. I had 3 top favorite skin designers, but now it is about 4 or 5. I can't really declare an absolute favorite skin, because I am a Libra with a Leo Moon and have a really hard time making decisions. Plus, I love different skins for different reasons. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I adore the hand drawn feel to Nina's skins. The slight imperfections, which make it a bit asymmetrical (not unlike our real life faces) give the skin a very unique and beautiful look. Anyway, if you have not tried Birdy Skins, you really should ASAP. 

Last, but definitely NOT least... The Hair! Kavar Cleanslate of Exile has been releasing so many great styles lately. I am in love with this latest style called, Run To You. Not only is this style gorgeous, but it comes more colors now! I know I mentioned this in a previous post, but each of  Exile's color HUDs are now house even more shade options. Kavar, as always, did an outstanding and thoughtful job creating even more perfect colors and styles to add his (as well my own) collection. Yay!

SHOETOPIA is more more than half way over now, so I better pick-up my speed. LOL! So here is one of the sponsors of SHOETOPIA, Davidfre Resident of Just Design. He created these amazing Boheme thigh high boots! One of the major high points of these boots are all the options that they come with. Each part of these boots are completely texture change via HUD. Here are just a few of the areas that you can change the color/texture of: the front of the boot, the back of the boot, the heel, the platform, the sole and even the metals.

There is even a sock option. If you notice in the above pic, you can see the top of a sock above the shoe, which is also color change. You can choose a whole sock options, so the bare part of the shoe is now covered by a color changeable sock. This is definitely nice for the colder months ahead.

I really like the metal clasp detailing on the back of the boot, as well as the different suede and leather textures. So, what are you waiting for? Cabin Fever Part 2!

As promised, I wanted to go in greater detail about the outfit I was wearing in my previous post Cabin Fever. Sissy Pessoa of Baiastice, created some gorgeous mesh separates for her Fall/Winter collection. It is made up of smart blazers, high waist pants, military inspired jackets, silky camisoles and sumptuous handbags. This is definitely one collection you definitely do NOT want to miss!

For this post, I chose to wear almost all the pieces of Sissy's new collection, except for the military jacket. I paired the 'Fie Blazer' with these gorgeous 'Emy High-Waist Trousers'. I also chose to wear this stunning 'Roxie' top underneath the blazer. The blazer comes in 2 versions - one made for layering and a regular version. 

Tricky Boucher of -Belleza- created a special version of his Ava skin for The Rockabily Fashion Fair. She is absolutely beautiful. Perfect red lips and sexy liquid lined eyes. She comes in the usual -Belleza-  skin tones, so do not hesitate to grab it ASAP!

After a long awaited break, Kavar Cleanslate of Exile released a ton of amazing new hair styles! Along with this gorgeous do, he also created a lot more hair colors for each color HUD!Let's just say, it was well worth the wait! I am absolutely in love with this style in the above pics, which is called "Daydream".  Go demo them all now!

Beautiful, But Late

Do to health reasons and other RL stuff, I had not been around SL much for the last 6 weeks (give or take). So, suffice it to say, I was late meeting my deadline to post these pics for the August cycle of Collabor88 . However, since I had taken these pictures and I was so in love with all of August's creations, I figured I would post them anyway. I do believe that almost all the Collabor88 exclusives will be in the designer's mainstore. So, let me post these pics and credits really quick. Btw, aida Ewing's (of  -Glam Affair- ) new "Katya" skin that I am wearing is too gorgeous for words!

Azure Electricteeth (of Tee*fy) and Marie Laurderson (Milk Motion) really went out of their way to create the most lovely 20's inspired clothes and accessories. 

Gyorgyna Larnia (of  LaGyo) also out did herself with here "Helen Necklace and Bangles" . 

All of the home decor items were amazing too. Isla Gealach of Cheeky Pea and Ewan Mureaux of Conspiracy Theory, collaborated on this fabulous art deco inspired "Beresford Vanity, Clock and Wall Light". The "Beresford Collection" also includes a bed, night stand, dresser and lamp in a choice of "Razzle" or "Dazzle" color palates.

I am also in love with this "Mission Armoire" by warehousefifteendesigns Resident of Apple Fall. M4ri1yn Magic of  ~Tableau Vivant~, made the brilliant "Stag Chair", which comes with a choice of 2 texture changing options - via script or via HUD. The wall mirrors, framed prints, and room are all part of the "Alders Living Room in Mahogany" from The Loft.

Last Day For July Collabor88!

When I think of the typical cottage in SL, I envision a small and cozy one bedroom home. So, when I went to go rez this 'lakeside cottage' from Barnesworth Anubis, I did not expect much different. To my surprise, this gorgeous 'lakeside cottage' is anything but small and cozy. It is HUGE! It is has 3 roomy bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, a stunning living room and tons of windows that bathe the home in light! I actually ran out of prims, before I could fully decorate this home. But then again, my homestead never has enough prims. This 'lakeside cottage' is a July Collabor88 exclusive, so you will want to run an grab it before it is gone at 11:59 pm today!

I chose to decorate the living room with a beautiful 'deconstructed living room' set from Cheeky Pea. I also used recent releases from {what next} as well. These are obviously two of my favorite home decor designers in SL. 

I also had some items left over from 'The Home Show' (which is sadly now over) created by !! Follow US !! and ~BAZAR~, which I had not gotten a chance to blog yet....

I wanted to save the best for last.... The bedroom! All of the furniture and decorations are from warehousefifteendesigns Resident of Apple Fall and are July Collabor88 exclusives! The details are so lovely and charming. I am in seriously in LOVE with this whole set!
